Clean and cheap on a budget.”
Good wifi most of the time. On the riverside and away from the busy pub areas which are only a 10 minute walk.
Just next to royal palace and national museum”
This place is amazing and cheap. We enjoy our stay because its so close to everything. Im able to witness cambodian people gathered together in royal palace park during sunset. Lots of street food around but we ended up eating in bunchon restaurant.
No longer Diamond palace ”
They tried to change me twice , asked me to pay again as I checked out, even after I showed him the receipt from Agoda I payed an extra night and I payed cash ,I said to the girl on reception are you sure you put it on the system, and I repeated it 3 times ! Yes I did it she said.
Great value place!”
This place is amazing for larger groups. The room was small but it had everything we needed, and the shower and toilet were even separated! We had the best sleep all trip due to the blackout curtains, separating curtains between the beds and the quiet room. What you get in the 6 bunk bed family room for US $36 is a really great deal!
great location, great view for an average room”
Diamond Palace II, or RS II as what the sign outside reads as of May 2019, is nestled in a great location, and our room had a great view however our room itself was average. The walls of our room were paper thin and every noise could be heard in our room - sirens, chairs/furniture of other rooms, people talking down below on the street. Out of our 3 nights we had booked, we only slept well on 1 of them because early in the morning alarms and announcements could be heard. Hotel has a coffee shop/restaurant attached, which is a nice perk but better priced eateries are found around the corner. Stairs up to our room are uneven, stairwells are narrow, and there's no elevators. Our room had poor circulation, smelled like mildew unless we had it cleaned daily. Tuk tuk drivers hoard out front and pester you when going for a walk. Great skyline and Royal Palace park views. If in this area again, would probably stay somewhere else because of the noise, mildew, and annoying tuk tuk drivers
This is not the hotel named, it is now a third of it and renamed, with a cafe where the original Reception area was. It was good value, and I thought the cafe was very handy and good for coffee. However, I would not and can never book this hotel again because of that cafe! Heaven help you if you are tired from travelling, this staff will never forget or forgive you! This ruined the entire visit to Phnom Penh. It could be said that Cambodia is no longer as good as it was, it is sloppy - spas anywhere have lazy staff, and this cafe was something else, a whole new level of ganging up against a customer because they don't understand that stale old food is not what westerners will accept. So can't ever book this hotel again!
Agoda show Diamond Palace hotel but actually just only RS II guest house (change name but did not warning) with too old furniture (dont have shampoo also, WC fan too noisy...). Otherwise, agoda showed distance too Toul
Tried to make me pay again, even after showing then receipt from Agoda
We arrived at diamond palace but need to stay at rs guesthouse. We ask for ground floor room , they give us ground floor room but at the store (something like that). The corridor smell is worst and we will not stay at this hotel again.
Recommended for budget hotel”
Very good location, near several attractions. Just good enough place to sleep when considering the budget.
This hotel is just next to national museum and royal palace. I would recommend this place to those who would visit phnom penh.
We had a great stay! Everything was in order and staff were accommodating and friendly.
Cheap rooms not so good”
My room was at the end of the hallway next to the alley. Various TukTuk drivers and others talking all night along with the random idling truck unloading. Many of the other rooms are "landlocked", meaning no windows. There are some good rooms but you probably won't get them with a cheap Agoda booking.
Clean, nice, quiet, cheap for couples, close to center, WiFi works great, bathroom is good, everything works fine. One thing I dont like is that they have really steep stairs. We stayed already second time here.
Really kind people”
We checked in a bit late but the guy in the reception was kind to us, he was the only one in duty and we have three luggages that he needs to bring up to our rooms. Tuktuk drivers are also available for your city tour outside the hotel, we have VISNAH, I'm not sure about the spelling though as our driver. So kind and his price is fair. 20usd for a whole day city tour. The only that needs improvement is their bathroom. It smells like pee when we first entered the bathroom. But overall it was okay.
Great location in a great city.”
5 mins to the riverside, 10 mins to the famous escort bars. (Wife wouldn't let me go in any ). Plenty of normal bars in walking distance. Next door to the museum and palace. Good sized room and everything worked as it should. Comfy bed. Breakfast was a choice of 10 things off a menu. I had fried eggs and bacon with toast and coffee and it was ok.
Passing good time ..”
This hotel is a nice one but no lift and limited breakfast. The stuff are friendly, the location is excellent. You have all what you need around you, nothing missing. malls are not so far from the hotel.
Diamond Palace II”
I enjoyed the hotel greatly: the bedrooom was small enough to allow the air conditioning to function effectively, while also being big enough to enjoy a bit of space. It was spotlessly clean. When travelling I always assume the person who designed the shower room has never himself had a shower, as the floor is paved with shiny ceramic tiles which are a lethal death trap: one easy slip and you've cracked your skull. This one was no exception: just use a towel on the floor to keep safe. I did not avail myself of any meal facilities as being so close to all the bright light of the waterfront I took it for granted that these were the things and places to head for: the hotel was for sleeping and washing in, and storing the stuff in my bag.
the only problem was the storeage facilities we wanted to leave a bag behind in storeage they said just leave it under the stairs not secure took bag with us that was the only problem bfst is a bit slow but its expected am rebooked there agoda best and safest way to do it
No frills hotel in good location”
Had an OK stay there for 2 nights. Room seemed small in comparison to the Agoda description, but I did not have my tape measurer with me. Pros: Excellent location, next to the royal palace and even a view on it from the upper floors. Staff was super nice and helpful and did not spend their day trying to sell you tours and other stuff as most hotel hotels do Fridge and air con worked well Cons: - Hotel is starting to feel dated and mold was clearly starting to develop in my room - The safe did not work. Had a key in it (that you could not remove) and the safe was just lying on the ground. - Only one power outlet and it's in the bathroom. - Mediocre breakfast, please stop including them in the price. - The floors are really high (which I like), but as there is no lift you should be aware of this if you are not in very good physical condition.
