"i was visiting sydney on my own and found this to be a great base for my city sightseeing. the main attractions of sydney can be reached on foot from here, plus it's a short walk to central station and nearby trams/monorail. i didn't use all the facilities, but these included a roof-top pool and sauna which looked good. good laundry facilities and the rooms were typically basic in the style of backpacker accommodation, but very clean and well maintained. i had a private double and would recommend such a room for couples, young families for budget travel in the city. the area is surprisingly quiet for the inner city, which made the stay relaxing."

"I stayed at this hostel twice now as I vacationed in Sydney. I have to say, I had an amazing experience both times. I came as a solo traveler the first time and found this place as an amazing place to meet others like me, and make my stay feel like home, and like one long party. Everyone’s so friendly and the place is clean. I returned with my other half, because I had such a great experience. This time we got a single double bed room, and had another great experience. Whether coming single, or with a significant other, this place is located so conveniently and worth every penny. Thank you for the hospitality! "

"790 is located in a sweet spot right in the heart of Sydney. Being right next door to Central station is key to ensure easiest commute from the airport and back. Proximity to China Town will ensure you have unlimited options if youre planning to eat outside. But if you are on a long budget stay, then there is a big kichen/dining area where you can store food , cook/eat & clean up , though I guess it takes a while to ease up to it. There are only 2 things that can play a downer <1> messy roommates (if ure unlucky to have those) <2> the loud music from scubar nextdoor whic goes on until 2:30 am (if you stay in the rooms numbered from x01 to x09) ; but changing room is always an option I guess and that makes 790 a very good choice for Backpackers."

"The hotel was operated by some Korean staff but they speak good english. They are very friendly and helpful as well. I stayed in Double Ensuite the bathroom is quite small just enough showering. Very fast free WIFI, probably the best for all the hotels I stayed. Location-wise it is very near to Sydney central station, so quite easy to go anywhere in Sydney including the airport, CBD, all the attractions. At this location the rate is quite affordable. And just after 5 min walking across the tunnel under central station you get to the railway square where you can get the free Sydney CBD bus 555, which is superb for city tours and it transport you right to circular quay.
