Room was spacious and the amenities are present.
Worth it at sale price”
I paid 60 thousand KRW for a room that normally costs at least double that. At that price, it was a steal. Staff, however, were surly and unhelpful. I wouldn't pay full price here, but super happy to pay ten or twenty bucks over a motel price to enjoy the view.
Great location, great food around”
Stayed in a triple, room sizes was ok, a bit squeezy but was comprehendable. The doorway lighting needs to have a switch to turn it off, when people goes to the toilet at night it lights up as it is sensor based. No breakfast was included, but lots of local delights around the area, 2 mins away from the hotel. There is a casino, but not much games. Good luck though!
Quiet Hotel ”
I like the hotel and it convenient. We can get local delights and also supermarket (e mart) is just around the corner. Anyway 1 thing which is lack of is there is no wifi services. And we did not bring our laptop along therefore we can't get internet access as there is only cable connection. Although there is internet access at the lobby, we still need to pay for the service. Would like to advise the hotel to have wifi connection for the convenient to the travellers. Nevertheless, we will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
The hotel is dated. There was mold in the bathroom sink.
I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights for a biz trip. It only takes 10 minutes to get from Jeju airport so I liked that and there are restaurants, coffee shops, and small bars nearby so it was very convenient to eat. Great price and great service. I'll definitely stay here again next time.
I stayed at this hotel for one night and couldn't sleep at all because there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room. I requested to change to another room. The stuff refused. He said that every room was in the same condition. I would never ever stay at this hotel again!
The hotel is only 10mins from the airport. Is the center of the city. Hotel is very old room is standard. The staffs are quite friendly and helpful. The wifi is not fully cover in the room, Lighting is not enough for the room. The food restaurant is surrounding I will not choose this hotel again
It was not a bad stay, just the hotel is not worth the money, even with discount. First, being a 5 star hotel is laughable. The korean law only allows 5 star hotels to have casinos (that's why it keeps the 5 stars). The hotel needs serious renovation. The entrance door of my room was rusty (yes, a metallic door) and the bathroom horrible. Everything is charged: toothpaste, shampoo, shower soap, internet, sauna. The restaurant is open only for breakfast. The staff at the reception is poorly trained.
nice hotel at riverside”
i chose this hotel because of our booking at yeha tours for the west and east route tours in jeju island. The airport is nearby and there are a lot of restaurants just outside the hotel. plus is kyochon chicken which is famous all over .
hotel was old but rooms were fairly spacious. as with the old exterior, interior decoration was dismal, with stained bathroom table tops and dusty lamps a common sight amongst all the rooms used by the travellers in our group. according to the website of the hotel it has facilities like a casino and a bowling alley. unfortunately the bowling alley has been closed down---or perhaps under renovation--not too sure which because we had trouble understanding the hotel staff's explanation. casino is still in operation, but on a very very small scale, with only 1 roulette table and 1 blackjack table in operation on both nights we were there. staff were also rude and surly. on the contrary, the staff in the lobby lounge were relatively more polite, as were those in the coffee house.
Nice looking place, rooms are very comfortable”
Hotel is under construction; out was a bit noisy in the morning if you want to sleep in. no free wifi and it costs a fortune. What is this? 1980? Otherwise gorgeous hotel in a nice area. Bathrooms were clean. Everything you need.
Lacks basic facilities and courtesy”
I stayed here for 3 nights, only because it was nearest to my place of meeting. The staff was not that polite. Room lacked simple amenities such as toothpaste, brush etc. While walking barefoot on floor, I could feel stickiness so I guess it was not cleaned properly. Also, rent-free items such as iron etc are not present. I would definitely not recommend it to anyone. The value for money is too low.
Good location, close to shopping zones”
Booked double room & was upgraded to a suite, so good first impression. Staff with reasonable English, free Internet & car park. Room spacious but some furniture/decorations look old.
Front Desk was unfriendly”
Generally ok. Nothing to shout about especially when it rates itself as a 5-star hotel. There were no tea spoons and front counter staff was extremely unfriendly. They need to redefine what Service means.
Uncaring staff, and expensive”
We booked using Agoda and got a very good rate for three rooms (two ocean view and one mountain). The staff were good and held our bags as we had come from climbing Mount Hallasan (our friends arrived before us). The staff were very, very unhelpful and even when we asked them to organise a taxi it seemed too hard. They were very unwilling to help us. I've worked in hotels before and I feel they thought because we had got a discount rate it didn't matter. To me that's not the point. The rooms were standard, but not worth we paid. I would definitely not go back, despite the amazing views, there are many other affordable and better options in Jeju City.
Close to airport. Friendly staff but over priced.”
It was very expensive and not all inclusive. They only provide you with one small free water. You have to pay for everything else even laundry, which cost me 100,000 won. For the price you pay a night at least a meal should be included.
Not a 5 Star Grade 1 Hotel”
Despite the 5 star rating, I should say I've seen 3 stars hotels better than this one. Yes, the staff was kind and speaking English and the location was pretty good but there were lots of issues: no internet connection (not even payed as they advertise) in the room, air conditioner device was working chaotically changing the set temperature itself and the control panel was falling from the wall; the water heater had mold inside, there was no shampoo, some towels had stains and smelled, the space between the floor tiles in the bathroom was dirty, and the knob for flushing the toilet was not working properly.
This was by far a 5 star hotel...it started out with all rooms being smoking....YUCK! I'm not a smoker for starters...but for those who are, more power to you! However, when I asked the agent when I booked here, after all of the rooms were book at the Ramada, if this was going to be an ok hotel, she replied "yes!" I'll be speaking with her on Tuesday afternoon...anyway, after going back and talking to the front desk individual explaining that my daughter is asthmatic and has allergies and my friend and her son too. We asked that we be refunded our money and be moved to another hotel... He immediately tried to find rooms that didn't reap of smoke, so he had me check rooms with one of his guys..to my surprise, one of the rooms was better and one of the rooms had hard wood (which is what I needed for the asthmatic), and oh, I failed to mention...the lobby is smoke-free, but right off from the lobby is the Casino (full of smoke....YUCK!), near the elevators... Date of stay:17/5/2013 - 18/5/2013 “You may consider upgrading to the deluxe to prevent from having the filthy carpet on the floors, this is where I was moved (7th floor) after discussing how the smoke would affect my child's health and mine.” (Robie768)
