Nice localtion in the forest ... but overall disappointing”
After a long and sweaty bus journey, we arrived exhausted to the camp: a glass of water or some tea would have been nice to welcome us!
The "cabane" is basic (a mattress on the floor), but we liked it. It is located in the woods, next to the river. However, the showers are awful and the all thing is falling apart. That's a shame as the place has some potential.
The owner (or manager?), was efficient and nice but the rest of the staff didn't care too much and spent more time to watch TV than doing useful things (cleaning? fixing broken things?).
They also organized some rafting for us: to be fair, the two organisers did their best to make the "rafting" interesting. It's not their fault if the river is not really made for kayaking. It looked more like a nice and relaxing boat trip: good with kids?
Breakfast was ok.
Overall, if you are coming to do some rafting, maybe Sri Lanka is not the best place after all. Regarding the camp in itself, it clearly needs some refreshment.
