This hotel near Central Station is perfect for exploring the city. Visitors love the friendly staff who offer top-notch service. The hotel prices in Sydney were quite high, and I struggled to decide where to stay, but I chose this place. In the end, the room was spacious, and the view was wonderful. We slept in a king bed, and there was plenty of room. The bathroom had a bathtub, but the shower was a rain shower. The only amenity in the room was a shower cap. There were wine glasses, two types of glasses, two types of mugs, tea, chamomile tea, green tea, coffee, two types of sugar, and milk for the milk in the refrigerator. There were no slippers in the room, so I think you need to bring your own. The staff was very friendly and nice. I stayed on the third floor, and the view of Central Station was absolutely wonderful. I would like to stay at this hotel again next time. The only disappointing thing was that my daughter had apparently ordered flowers for the room as a surprise, but none of the staff understood this, and while checking in my luggage, they asked me about the flowers, ruining the surprise. After that, my daughter asked in English for the flowers to be placed in the room, but that was also not carried out, and when I went to retrieve my luggage, the flowers were simply handed to me. That incident was the only disappointment.

We slept in a king bed, and there was plenty of room. The bathroom had a bathtub, but the shower was a rain shower. The only amenity in the room was a shower cap. There were wine glasses, two types of glasses, two types of mugs, tea, chamomile tea, green tea, coffee, two types of sugar, and milk for the milk in the refrigerator. There were no slippers in the room, so I think you need to bring your own. The staff was very friendly and nice. I stayed on the third floor, and the view of Central Station was absolutely wonderful. I would like to stay at this hotel again next time. The only disappointing thing was that my daughter had apparently ordered flowers for the room as a surprise, but none of the staff understood this, and while checking in my luggage, they asked me about the flowers, ruining the surprise. After that, my daughter asked in English for the flowers to be placed in the room, but that was also not carried out, and when I went to retrieve my luggage, the flowers were simply handed to me. That incident was the only disappointment.

Rooms was clean and the location was very convenient. It was close to Central Station and there were lots of places nearby to eat. Thank you to the friendly staff for their hospitality. I enjoyed my stay at Mercure Sydney.

It's located about a 5-minute walk from Central Station, and there is a bus stop nearby, so the transportation is convenient. Close to the hotel, there's an outdoor food court lined with Asian restaurants just a bit off the main road, making it ideal for casual travelers! They also offered to store my luggage until check-in and arranged a taxi for me on the morning of my departure. Whenever I expressed a request, they responded quickly with a smile. The location is great, and I appreciate the straightforward service from the staff, so I would like to stay at this hotel again when I visit Sydney.

I came here for the weekend with my 9 year ild daughter and we arrived at central station. Hotel is located 2 minutes of walking distance which was very helpful. We were able to do early check in and leave the bags few hours before check in time. It was a pleasure to walk to Darling harbour. It’s an easy 20 min stroll walking down the promenade with cafes and restaurants. It was also easy to walk to circular quay which made it all easy and accessible to walk. Hotel had great breakfast, room was clean, house keeping came along twice to check if we need anything. Pool is smaller but still fun for kids and families and it waa a nice way to spend spare time in hotel and meet other people. I would recommend to put more notice boards for people to take shower before or after using the sauna as some went straight to the pool after the sauna which made me feel a bit uncomfortable and we left the pool. This is just the people not the hotel bit maybe it would be good to have someone pass by occasionally and make signs more clear. View from the room was lovely, and we loved the fact that it was quoet in the room but the view gave us the real buzzy feeling of CBD. Uber from Circular quay to hotel was less than $20 which was acceptable if we were tired to walk. Loved the location and breakfast :)

The image before COVID-19 had changed significantly when I stayed there. We stayed for three nights as a couple. ◆ The coffee creamers for the number of people were gone, and there was only one bottle of milk, around 100ml. ◆ On the second day, there was no refill for the box of instant drinks, but on the third day, when I brought out the empty box, they refilled it. ◆ The number of towels provided changed each time. First day → 4 large towels, 2 small towels Second day → 4 large towels, 0 small towels (I requested small towels, but what arrived were 2 large towels) Third day → 4 large towels, 1 small towel ◆ Bottled water was no longer set up. These are the changes I noticed. There are no slippers or amenities. There is no bathtub, only a shower. The quality of room cleaning varies depending on the cleaning staff. Even so, the room was clean and spacious, there was a laundry room, and it was very convenient being close to the station. I realized that customers also need to adapt to the changes in hotels due to COVID-19 in order to stay.

It was nice to stay in Mercure with 2 kids over the Vivid weekend. Sydney was bustling and with there were a lot of patrons at Mercure as well. Staff were quick and helpful with our enquiries and check in. Breakfast was really busy when getting closer to closing time but still the staff were refilling food and cleaning tables to make space for other patrons. We were still having breakfast past 10am (end of breakfast) and they let us enjoy our breakfast till we finish without making us feel hurried. The rooms are clean and the housekeeping team cleaned up our room daily and made our stay feel much fresher. The pool was great for kids. Location was great too as it was really near Central station and Chinatown area. The kids love it and we will come back again.

Arrived early, and reception staff checked us into an available room. We were able to enjoy the pool before it got busy. Room was a nice size, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

“Great stay and location”
Very conveniently located right next to Central station and bus stops, and short walking distance to light rail stops. Really liked that the lobby has entrances facing all sides for easy access to the surrounding streets. The staff were very friendly. Check in was easy, housekeeping were very thorough, and bag storage after checking out was quick and seamless. My partner enjoyed the gym facilities. The standard queen room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Accommodated all our needs and only a few minor areas for improvement. The wardrobe could use a bit more hanging space especially for long clothing. The bathroom sliding door did not lock properly. The coloured LED lighting in the room is a nice touch but unfortunately we only discovered how to use it on the last day - some instructions would have been helpful. Also the TV did have casting options but it was a bit tedious to go through the process of logging in and connecting to the chromecast wifi each day. Overall thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in a prime location in Sydney CBD.
