value for money ”
it was value for money cos i got a great deal. the capsule is quite clean, the capsule has everything u need to get a good night sleep. the bathrooms are spacious. i was able to sleep well, as a light sleeper. ear plugs are essential. there are a few bad things abt this place..first, the air is very stale and very warm if u pull the blind down. the location is quite far from the station. if you take the subway it is 200yen one way. if you walk, it takes abt 20mins. the covered walkway connected to the sendai station, lined with shops, is actually quite a joy to walk. lastly, the atmosphere here is quite cold and with the ocassional inconsiderate guests who hoard the mirror counter for half an hour to do the make-up making it impossible for others to use the hairdryer. staff cant speak english. one even flatly rejected to help simply saying she cant speak english. the rudest service staff i have encountered in japan.

Location is perfect. ”
The location is amazing, but there are one or two regular hotels (Green Arbour) in the same area for around the same price with more facilities. The shower/toilet areas are super modern and clean and the capsules are clean and comfortable. The negatives would be that I stayed here two nights as to make use of the drinking area (Kokobuncho). However, after drinking loads and in need for a lay in, they still make you checkout at 10am every morning even if you’re staying another night. For the price, they don’t really offer much in the way of facilities. There is no communal room etc, so when at the hotel, you can only stay in your capsule, and can’t be there at all between 10-2 or 3 if in need of hangover recovery. My capsule was near the bathroom. Many business guys get up from 4am, so you get the constant noise from hairdryer from that time until kick out time. Summary: clean, nice bathrooms and awesome location. Terrible checkout policy and no communal area.

Great location”
Very austere interior design - in a good way. Calm and grey. The showers are fantastic and include amenities. Capsule is comfortably sized. Staff answers all your questions and are friendly. Location is great, 15 min walk from Sendai station. Nearby area offers numerous quirky pubs and cafes as well as 2 min walk to fantastic cow tongue.

Old and Needs a clean”
The breakfast can NOT be obtained earlier than breakfast hours (7am...) if you are leaving early. The carpet needs replacing and slippers are not provided. The male bathroom sinks are dirty and one doesn't work. The toilets all smell like urine. The Onsen is good. The capsules are ok but you are only separated by a curtain.

ok place to stay”
similar to the other 9 hour capsule hostels. place was clean, and Capsule was OK. staff could have been nicer, and were kinda weird and standof-ish. stayed for one night and it was fine.

Good for budget solo travellers ”
It was a super interesting experience, being my first capsule hotel. Everything was very orderly and everyone is super neat and tidy which makes the hotel super clean. It’s right next to the shopping district but a little far from Sendai Station. However, you can actually get from Sendai station to the hotel without getting wet in the rain if you follow the undercover mall.

Not good!”
Only bed and shower room. No lounge and other facilities, so I could not eat and drink and relax myself at this hotel. Besides, I needed to check in and out everyday, that means I could not leave my personal goods in the room or the locker. Everyday, I needed to pack my luggage and left it to the counter, then went out. As a traveller, that extremely annoyed me. As a hostel or a capsule hotel, the price was also high. No joke, it will be wiser to stay other places.

Convenient”
Location is walkable from JR Aobadori subway station, which is one stop away from JR Sendai Station, so it’s very convenient to people with JR passes. Lots of shops around, and Kokubuncho is just right there. If you like walking, Nine Hours would be a good place to stay. Great capsule hotel and very clean facilities. Noise can be heard from surrounding capsules, and it gets a bit stuffy inside the capsules themselves, but that’s pretty much expected (there’s no individual fan/ventilation). Locker rooms, toilets, shower rooms, sleeping quarters are all separated, which is great.

Ideal for solo travelers or people just looking for a bed”
This hotel was very comfortable and suited my trip exactly. I was travelling on my own and only looking for a bed to sleep in so it was perfect. Maybe for groups who want somewhere to chill out it mightn’t be as suited. It is a bit awkward in terms of backage aswell. You have a locker for your things so basically you have to keep everything packed and only take out what you need, as you need it. If space is important to you then maybe it would be worth paying the extra cash for a room somewhere else. The only problem I had with the place was that you have to check out every morning before 10 no matter how many nights you are staying. You’ll get a different bed and locker when you check back in at 1. Overall I think it depends on what you want from a hotel. If you’re on your own or just want somewhere to crash, then it’s perfect.

facilities are awesome ”
staff and facilities are awesome except the tiny locker. the single capsule is cute but terrible for me as I can harfly breathe inside the capsule. people nearby are too noise when they come in and out and when they climbed up to the top capsule. you can hear people snorring with FOC at night. anyway if you need budget this is good choice for you. down stair has a 7e and bus stop is just walking distance which you could reach to Sendai Station only 4 stops.

Pros: Clean, quiet, with complete toiletries and night gown. Cons: I had no problem with checking out everyday because I only stayed for one night but I don't think I'll use this hotel if I have to stay in Sendai for several nights. Can they store your luggage if they know you'll be back? Can you just pay the 2 nights at the same time or do you have to go through the hassle of paying for every night separately? Also, they have no common area so when I bought food from the outside, I didn't know where I should eat it. I have no idea if it's allowed to eat inside your capsule so I went to the nearby 7-11 (just below the hotel) and buy something so that I can eat there.

PROS: very cheap, 24-hr checkin; 10-min walk from the subway; very clean; locker can fit in a 30-kg luggage and is separate from the sleeping quarters so less noise; provides clothes to sleep, towel, and toothbrush; CONS: You have to pack your things everyday and checkout; The mattress is a bit hard and the pillow is thin
