Stunning resort, missing it already”
We head to Pangkor Laut because we felt that we deserve the best place(yes we escaped from a mosquito nest in one of the hotels in pasir bogak beach) Absolutely love the service right from the beginning of the trip, at the jetty in marina island to the end of our stay. Staff were professional and all of them has a bright smile. Upon arrival at the resort, we were greeted again with yummy berry juice. Due to high volume of bookings, we were the last to get our rooms(which is fine since we were not in any hurry and good clean place to relax while waiting). As a compensation to our long wait, we were upgraded twice to the best room for honeymooners-Spa Villa! Everything there was pricey, but it was worth every single penny. We were served with nothing but the best. Breakfast was fabulous and we had the best chinese peranakan food on earth! Upon checking in, there was a deposit of RM2000 and whatever expenditure on that island, will be deducted from it. So we went around cash free. As for activities, I do not find it very fascinating due to the condition of the water and visibility. I had taichi by the sea, though. and it was fun. Transportation around the island is provided. There are live 10 seater van or a land rover going around to transport guests to beaches, spa, rooms and restaurants. Yes this place sounds like an ideal holiday destination, because it simply is. To Pangkor laut staff, including the gardeners, cleaners, drivers and the list goes on, thank you for your making our stay a pleasant and memorable one.

Beautiful and tranquil escape for couples”
There is not much to fault Pangkor Laut Resort when it is running on all cylinders. However, my stay saw several of the restaurants and activities cancelled or not open and hence we lacked choices. Picnic on the beach was not available. Private dinner on the beach was fully booked (only one booking per night - get in early!). Sunset cruise cancelled due to weather (not Pangkor Laut Resort's fault). Several of the restaurants were closed and hence left with limited choices. The above should not stop anyone from visiting Pangkor Laut Resort as it is definitely still a beauty to behold. The staff are great and helpful. They even knew where we were to tell us at first notice that the sunset cruise was cancelled so that we can re-plan our activities. The highlight of the resort was the spa and massage. Very relaxing and unique! Must try for anyone going to Pangkor Laut Resort! It was worth every cent.

Great honeymoon at Pangkor Laut”
We spent four nights in a Hill Villa at Pangkor Laut Resort during our honeymoon and had a truly wonderful time. The room was great with a fantastic view overlooking much of the resort and the sea. The spacious outdoor bath tub was probably the best feature of the room, especially after I asked the hotel to decorate it with flowers and candles. The food was superb at all the restaurants we tried. As vegetarians we were concerned about the variety of food that would be on offer and even though there was limited choice on the menus the staff were always ready to offer us vegetarian alternatives off the standard menu so we were never disappointed with the fare that was seved. The pristine beach was not very big as the resort is quite exclusive it was never crowded. All in all we would definitely recommend visiting Pangkor Laut and are already thinking of returning.

Tranquil and private island lifestyle”
my stay at pangkor laut exceeded the expectations and provided a calm, inspiring break from the city lifestyle. service was constantly great throughout the stay and every effort was made to accommodate my needs- this included arranging my trip from the resort to kuala lumpur and getting the needed transportation booked for me. the breakfast area had little speciality kiosks to accommodate various tastes and cultural food preferences. by far the best feature of the resort was the spa village, where four hours of pampering flew by and left me feeling like a royal. i was even given a sarong as a gift, which still reminds me of the holiday. staying at pangkor laut was a true island life experience, topped off by the local naturalist 'uncle' who takes the guests on a daily jungle trek through the island.

Pangkor Laut resort Malaysia”
Coming to Pangkor Laut is like coming to heaven. A beautiful resort is waiting for you. From the arrival in Lumut everything was perfectly taken care of. The transportation to the island is well organized, expectations rise when you meet the Pangkor Laut people in Lumut. The resort is simply beautiful. Every little detail is perfect, from design to the service, to booking of restaurant, you even get your own bag for the beach. We stayed in a sea villa and it will not be our last visit to Pangkor Laut. The view from the balcony is stunning, and privacy is not an issue. Emerald Beach is really in emerald color and also here everything is perfect.

Pangkor laut resort holiday”
We planned an island stay at an island while we were in malaysia on business. And pangkor laut was available at the last minute on agoda. The arrangements were as promised. We were met at the harbor before we boarded there boat for the 30 minute trip to the resort. When we arrived staff personally met us and walked us down the jetty to reception where we were given cold towels and drink and told about the resort. They were interested if there was any thing we needed or special needs before we were escorted to our hillside room. Great view of the area and the room was fabulous. The entire resort is polished and a great experience. We are going back next time in malaysia and will stay 5 or 7 nights next time. Four nights was ok but 2 more nights would have been a grander experience . The food at there restaurants was very high standards. Fresh fish and lamb and indian dishes great. The whole 4 days was like a short cruise on a great ship!!

Amazing resort, stumbled upon it while driving to Penang ”
There’s not much going on between KL and Penang along the west coast of Malaysia so we were really lucky to find Pangkor Laut Resort on our road trip. After a short 20 min speedboat we were greeted by staff and given a run down on the resort. It’s the only resort on the island and there’s lots of walks through the jungle and other beaches around the island to explore. We had some friendly (cheeky) monkeys came to our hill villa and stole my beer and nuts but they only added to the experience. The Hornbill birds are amazing and very unique looking. I really enjoyed staying here and it was a very pleasant and unexpected find.

Lovely place to unwind ”
We had a wonderful and relaxing 2 nights at Pangkor Laut Resort. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure we know what's being offered there. The room is clean and neat. The one thing we like most is the large bath-tub offered where both of us can soak away our stress and tension. Food wise, this resort offered a variety of choice both local and western cuisines are served. Uncle Lim's restaurant offers good oriental cuisine however the price is on the high side and one needs to book in advance as well. For relaxation, there is the spa, jacuzzi pool, sauna which we thoroughly enjoyed. Will certainly go there again!

Best resort ever!”
Pangkor Laut Resort truly is the best resort we’ve ever stayed in. From the minute we arrived at the airport, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Pure relaxation! Fortunately we got an upgrade to a spa villa: beautiful, peaceful, romantic. Especially the big bath tub with superb view over the sea. Unlike other resorts, Pangkor Laut Resort even looks better in reality than in photos.

Best resort experience ever!”
From the moment we stepped in at the initial check point at Marina Island jetty till we reached the jetty from Pangkor and left the jetty, the whole experience was the bestest experience that we had! The staff was accommodative and highly committed to ensure we have pleasant stay throughout our stay . Though there are few issues that we encountered in the villa, but they managed to handle it very well . Good job, Pangkor Laut Resort ! Will definitely coming back there again ! And thank you for everything .

The greatest hotel”
The Pangkor Laut resort is one of the best resort we ever stayed in. The hotel facilities are stunning with 6 restaurants, 2 swimming pools, tennis courts. The staff is the most friendly and caring we have ever seen. Our arrival at the dock was too late to catch the last transfer boat and the hotel normally charges 250 USD for private pick up , nevertheless , they sent back the boat for us for free ! The hotel is very relaxing and even without doing any excursions our time was filled with discovering the pools , restaurants and amazing emerald bay, Be warned that the food at any restaurants is very expensive, about 100 USD per person in most restaurants . The other restaurants are just too expensive for ordinary food. We would order room service and eat on the terrace which is one of the best deals with pizza for about 18 USD. The room is so nice that we did enjoy it . And we brought our food for breakfast and wine for dinner ( very recommended to come with yogurts, snacks and cheeseand wine ) will save you a lot on your food . The best excursion i did was water ski for only 30 USD. You get to tour the island while enjoying waterski and my girlfriend could enjoy on the boat as a private ride . So a must for any lovers looking for the best peaceful WE. Caution , there is no diving at Pangkor Laut so you'd better go to Langkawi or perenthian for corals and fishes.

Perfection in the Straits of Malacca ”
Site, design, and maintenance all excellent. Staff outstanding. To start with , the staff showed great consideration and flexibility when he realized the hill villa we had booked was not suitable for my husband, and made appropriate changes. We enjoyed every staff member we encountered (?50). All helpful, cheerful, and happy to join in conversation. The resident naturalist was very well informed, & witty! Villas delightful, well set up, and we enjoyed the privacy as well as the views. Restaurants all excellent. Breakfast probably the best on the planet! Water experiences all very enjoyable. Only complaint about our stay at Pangkor Laut Resort----it was not long enough!

Wonderful experience in a unique location”
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Pangkor Laut and would happily go there again and recommend it to friends. The rooms are delightful, especially the outdoor bath and the balcony in a jungle setting ( we had a hill villa). One of the most unforgettable impressions is that of the beach at Emerald Bay. Truly a picture postcard setting, with the green sea, pristine beach and virgin jungle as a backdrop. The Spa Village is also a worthwhile experience, especially the initial 40 minute bath ritual, which is quite unique, even among the many top Asian spa's. We were forewarned about the high prices of the F&B outlets, so did not splash out that much on food. You have to bear in mind that a resort of this kind, which is on its own on a jungle-covered island, does have some additional running costs. The beauty and the unique serenity of the resort do make up for these drawbacks.

Good getaway if you're looking to do nothing”
Pangkor Laut Resort is beautiful. The accommodations are exquisite. The service is lovely. The beach at Emerald Bay isn't too bad. The facilities are well maintained and good. The multitude of restaurants served some great food, the breakfast spread was hearty, but the only thing i was a little dissatisfied with, especially being a Malaysian was the local Malaysian cuisine at the Pasar Malam Buffet - taste was subpar for a locally run 5-star hotel (price was above average, but that was to be expected, so no surprises there). Overall, a pretty amazing place for a quiet and lazy getaway.

Luxurious private island resort”
Pangkor Laut resort is indeed a private luxury getaway with beautiful nature and wildlife surroundings. Emerald Bay beach is the most beautiful beach I have ever experienced. Service at the hotel is also excellent. Regarding food & beverage price range was of at European level while quality wasn't always up to par. Best dinner option was Uncle Lim's Chinese restaurant.

Amazing location, little piece of paradise”
can't fault pangkor laut. we were upgraded to a sea villa as it was my wife's birthday and had excellent service from then on. the food is excellent in all the restaurants - we had a great private dinner on the beach. service is exceptional and location is breathtaking with amazing views on all sides. a real piece of luxury and paradise. the only downside is that you cannot go in the sea near the pool/hotel area and have to take a little bus to the beach on the other side of the island. having said that, the emerald bay beach is beautiful and well worth the short journey.

A memorable family vacation”
Pangkor Laut Resort is truly a beautiful 5 star resort! We were able to enjoy both the beach (Emerald Bay) and the rainforest on the same island. The jungle walk with Uncle Yip was unforgetable with well informed information about the nature around us. Overall, we had a great time and the children really enjoy it remendously. I do have to say that for the price that guest pay for the food, it could be better!

Great place for a Wedding Ceremony”
We had a friend wedding at the Pangkor Laut Resort, there is nothing to say except that this is a dream Resort. Beautiful place, the staff is great, always smiling, you will get a 100 salutations everyday everytime you cross a staff. But you must be ready to pay for your food and drinks of course, quite expensive, but that wasn't enought to tarnish our great experience there!

Honeymoon at Pangkor Laut”
We had a great time at the resort and would recommend it to anyone, but take PLENTY of cash for the overpriced food. We would love to go back and bring friends with us to enjoy the tranquil and friendly surroundings. Emerald Bay is definitely a highlight and the great service of all the staff will not be forgotten! Enjoy Pangkor Laut Resort.:)
