Grossly over priced coffin”

The room was dark wood on floor, walls and ceiling with a shuttered window with no means of opening. It resembled a coffin. Only furniture were twin beds, a bedside table and a TV that didn't work. The beds were like concrete. The shower was a trickle of water emerging from a black slimy shower head. The only positives were it was located conveniently to the pier and the toilet paper was better quality than usual.

Scandalous ”

They threw us out saying that we didn't book the place and that they were full. Then they asked us to pay more if we wanted a small room without AC and Internet whereas we paid in full for a 3 star room. I had to make a mess in the loby to get them to give us the room and then it was a low grade bungallow. They even told agoda that they gave us an even better room that what we paid for, but Agoda generously reimbursed us in full ! Thanks to them it was not a complete disaster.

Basic room, poor service”

When we arrived we were told that the rooms we had reserved and paid for five months earlier were not available because the hotel "was busy". After raising a stink, we were given two rooms in place of the family room we had reserved. Rooms were very basic for the price. Breakfast was okay, but again, given the price paid, was very basic. The hotel met the requirement of a place to spend the night, but was nothing like the good experiences we had just about everywhere else we stayed in Laos.

Nice hotel but expensive and poor breakfast”

We organised the slow boat trip from Chiang Mai but needed to organise accomodation ourselves for the stopover in Pakbeng. As we were travelling with kids I decided to do this in advance. However, it was unecessary to do so as there is plenty of accomodation at Pakbeng for a much cheaper rate and generally the stay in Pakbeng is only overnight, and so other options are more than adequate and much better value. However, the hotel was a nice bit of comfort in the middle of the slow boat trip - just a pity the breakfast was not so great.

Au vu des commentaires sur les forums, nous avons été très agréablement surpris de la qualité de cet Hotel.Il est beau, propre, fonctionnel et le personnel serviable. Les chambres sont petites mais il y a une grande terrasse avec des tables pour profiter de l'extérieur

Staf kan niet rekenen Diner gaf geen keuze, maar restaurantjes genoeg om de hoek Prima plek om te overnachten voor 1 nacht tijdens de cruise na ar Luang Prabang.

Dit hotel is overpriced.We hadden een kamer boven gereserveerd,bleek niet te zijn doorgekomen en was dus niet beschikbaar. Grote,vrij donkere kamers met dekens,geen dekbedden. Ontbijt middelmatig,eieren, toast en jam,zoals overal. Al met al niets bijzonders, maar wel fijn om iets te hebben gereserveerd ,door Chinees nieuwjaar was het erg druk.

Basic guesthouse maar proper ”

een goede plaats om te overnachten in pak beng toch voor 1 nacht, als je met de slowboat arriveerd is het de pier omhoog dan direct rechts en je loopt er recht op. kamers zien er oud uit maar wel proper en je hebt hier warm water om te douchen. dit is niet overal in dit stadje. ontbijt stelt niet veel voor. slappe baguette met eitje en tomaten en een koffie of thee. wel erg prijzig maar je bent wel zeker dat je goed zal slapen.
