      An oasis of calm”
I stayed at Rangniwas Palace for 10 days and I'm so glad I did - it's an oasis from Udaipur's hustle & bustle that's only a few minutes walk to the palace. Such a marvellous spot, with a rich history and wonderfully attentive staff. Great facilities, solid restaurant & a feeling of home with grand touches. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

      REALLY WORTH A VISIT”
We loved our stay at the Rangniwas Palace, a beautiful shabby chic heritage hotel with a gorgeous swimming pool in a beautiful peaceful setting. However, it would be good if signposting was better, particularly from the Jain temple which is well worth a visit. We got lost several times! And a better selection of drinks would be appreciated at dinner, even fresh juices such as fresh lemon or lime. It's always the little things.

      Great Value”
Overall, great experience. Look forward to returning one day. Staff is very friendly and responsive and the location while not right on the lake (and hence more affordable) is just a couple of blocks from the main palace and boat dock. Connecting to the internet is a bit challenging; the key is to head down to the courtyard, catch the signal and then return to your room; it will work fine from there on. Their restaurant is also one of the better places to eat in town from both a taste and health standpoint. Highly recommend.

      Old-style charm and courtesy”
We rate this hotel 5 stars all round, as it is the type of hotel that we always search for: one that is of local historic interest, combined with personalized service, and in a walkable location. Our small suite was in the original building, with marble floors, period furnishings, and a table for tea. The excellent manager, Shrimal, made sure that all of our needs were met, including a shower, dinner and someone to give instructions to the tuk tuk driver on the evening following our stay! Also, the meals we had were delicious. The location was fine, and we enjoyed our walks through the neighborhood to the lake, Jagdith temple, etc.

      Old world charm in Udaipur”
      Staff, old world feel
Let me start this with saying we would happily stay here again if back in the area. The staff here were all very friendly and the place had that real old world colonial era charm. The room may not have been perfect, but it certainly had the right touches! The only issue actually was the shower head, which could do with replacing. Hot water was fine, the beds were nice and comfy and the marble floors were lovely. The staff were always happy to help and were a real asset to this hotel. Breakfast had a really good spread and certainly kept me happy! Location wise it's only a short walk from the palace, and a 5 minute walk to the nearest boat pier. You have 2 options here - you can either go through the palace gates (cost is Rs30 I believe) and use the pier there, or you take the short walk from the hotel and use the pier outside the gates. We managed to pay Rs250 per person for a 20 minute ride on the lake.
