Yilan County hotels & places to stay

Thank you for making our first time visit to Jiaoxi a very good one for helpful, courteous and greeting staff at front desk during our check-in, checkout and returned to collect our stored luggage in the evening. All the staff were different we met each time and they left good impression with us, thank you. The public hot spring pool looked good but we had our planned trip to Yilan and Yuanshan, so didn't make us of the pool.

It was the perfect start to a girls weekend with my best friend. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was beautiful even though we got the most basic one, and the cold/hot springs were the best I have ever experienced in a private setting. They pipe the waters directly to your room and your skin feels so wonderful after a nice soak in both tubs. The bathroom gives you an excellent view of your surroundings but also privacy to enjoy yourself. There is also a beautiful infinity pool and outdoor hot spring tub for you to enjoy on a fine day. Nice little special touch was the front desk advising you ( and printing out on your key card envelope) the time of sunrise the next day as they have an excellent reading room where you can view it with a cup of coffee in your hand. Breakfast was one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had at a hotel! I would strongly recommend this place to anyone travelling in the Yilan area.

We are a family of 3 with a 21 month old boy stayed at Silks Place Yilan Hotel for 4 days (3 nights). We chose this hotel because our son loves cars! However, he is too little to ride on the auto cars as he couldn't step on the peddle continuously or to steer the wheel properly. As parents we either band down the whole time or to choose those non-auto cars. The slides there are also too high for our child. Moreover, the opening hour of the Fantastic Castle conflicted with our schedule. It opens sometime at 8/9am closes at 11am and reopen at 3pm until 8:30pm. By the time we finish breakfast, it's almost time to close for the morning. Glad that The Club opens throughout the day, we could enjoy indoor heated pool swimming. Free movie is an awesome idea but if the hotel can provide babysitting service would be better. Other than that the facilities and staffs are super helpful!! Their warm smiles totally melt my heart. I can't wait to go back again when my son gets older.

This is the first hot spring hotel I stayed in Yilan and it was one of the best I stayed from my trips in recent years. Everything is perfect is except the hotel is a bit too dark (maybe that is concept of this hotel) but sometimes it gives me a creep😅 Cleanliness: the room is extremely clean and organized when we first arrived. We stayed for two nights and every day we came back with everything as new. The floor is vacuumed nicely without any visible dirt. Room: the room was bigger than we expected. The bed was big and comfortable. The design of the room is well thought out where the hot spring tub is just at the patio. In between there is a toilet and shower room. My fiancé and I had a good sleep hearing no noise from other rooms. Staff: the staff are very friendly and professional. They always greet us when they have the chance. Even though a few staff don't speak good English, they did try their best to communicate with us. That is something we really appreciate. Thank-you! Facility: the breakfast was included and it was one of the best we had in recent trips. It is located at the second top floor of the building and it is a like buffet style. Every day it is a little bit different. They offer tons of selection from fruits, salad, hot food, cold food, drink, soups, drinks and breads. The food is so good that we didn't miss any. The top of the building has a few swimming pools for you to enjoy. The hotel offers snacks, movie, and wine in different times so be sure to take advantage of that. Overall: my fiancé and I will give this hotel 9.5/10 because we really love our stay here. Although we didn't do much in Yilan, we were totally relaxed and enjoyed our stay. We really want to take this opportunity to say a big thank-you to the staff for such good services. We will definitely be coming back if we come to YiLan

Definitely one of the best hotels in Yilan. Room is spacious and clean. Hot Spring in the room is very nice. Restaurant is ok... can be better I drove with my wife and 2 year old son... the car park is spacious and easy to park. I will return soon!

It is my second stay because of the friendly staff and in-room hot spring facility. The buffet breakfast and dinner are very good with lot of varieties of food. Justice bar is fantastic. The reservation team call me two times to confirm my booking details and arrival although I booked through Agoda and not direct with hotel. You feel that you are being taking good care before you arriving the hotel. It was a great stay and will go back again in the future if I stay at Yilan.

The hotel was new, love the Japanese influence rustic interior. I arrived to Jiao Xi town in Yilan by train from Taipei, Google map able to give a very clear direction and I am able to get to the hotel less than 10 minutes. The front desk staff members were very friendly. Check-in was efficient, although my room was not ready when I was there (I arrived at 1:40pm and check in time is from 3pm onwards), the front desk staff was friendly enough to offer look after my luggage at the concierge and will deliver them to the room as soon as it’s ready. After wondering around and grab a coffee at Starbucks, my room was ready by 2:50pm and my luggage has been delivered to my room just like they have promised. Room was in a very unique set up which I kind of enjoyed, even it was a little bit too small than I expected. Love where they placed the giant bath tub (which easily fit 8 people!) together with the shower at the end of the room. The comfy bed was placed in the middle of the room while the closet and toilet was on the other side. I slept okay here but I finding the pillow was a bit too soft and the wall was not soundproof and I constantly got woken up by people talking at the corridor. Love the shower amenities and the bath robes. WiFi was speedy and stable. The hot spring pools were located at the underground floor and separate into men and women section. They are offering the Japanese traditional hot spring indoor naked bath at this hotel, I'm finding the bath was very relaxing. The breakfast was good where they offered a wide range of Taiwanese style hot dish with some Japanese touch. It was a pleasant stay and I was satisfied.

hotel located 5mins walk from the train station which we went to Yilan and the coach station which we travelled to Taipei. The room has an air condition problem and it leak water like heavy rains on the first day, the hotel offered another room to us. In fact, the 2nd room has a larger bath but the 1stroom has a bigger bed and more spacy. We visited the restaurants twice apart from the breakfast time, one for dinner and one for lunch for the hotpot, the food is good and fresh, we are impressed. The breakfast is a bit boring, as it is the same set breakfast with salad, bread, egg and sauage.

We booked the smallest room and it was still pretty large in size with a good sized seating area / living room for 2 adults & 1 child with a view overlooking Yilan. The lobby was huge with a generous space to host a range of activities for kids. The pool & hot water baths were lovely. Staff were very friendly. The buffet & set meals were both fantastic. Large gift shops & activities were planned throughout the day by the hotel. The recreation area can get packed at times, but it had a lot of diversity from pool, ping pong for adults and a sand pit for kids. Will definitely return again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Great location! Just behind the center street that you could find lots of food (famous Jiao Xi 蔥油餅) and convenience, which it's also where Tangweigou Hot Spring Park is situated. Suggest to consider Jiao Xi as an overnight stay if you visit Yilan, very worth the stay with around or less than NT$4K for a quad room. Staff service was excellent from the moment we stepped into the lobby until checking out - professional, patient, polite, sincere, helpful. Bravo to the management! Excellent and good varieties of buffet breakfast, very passionate in making their breakfast which we thought was better than a 5-star hotel. The highlight of this little gem hotel is their hot spring in room, we really enjoyed it, wide enough to fit in 3 person. Loved the fancy brand of shower cream, shampoo, conditioner and lotion provided. Definitely, everything was spotlessly clean. They even provided us 2 hair dryers as we had more people in the room. Come and experience their diligence in real hospitality.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Less than a 2 mins walk from the hotel and you will see Jiaoxi Train Station which brings you to Yilan and Luodong. To the main street, a good 20 mins walk allows you to walk past many nice cakes and souvenirs stores including pon.com.tw (奕顺轩) and cakenobel.com (诺贝尔). The hotel has a very nice ambiance and kids friendly, having lego sets for kids to play while waiting to check in. I love the common toilets and the heat-activated toilet seats in a pretty chilly weather. Jiaoxi's weather can be chilly and sometimes drizzling. I also enjoyed the service of the staff, excellent! It has such a comfortable bed that we decided to laze a bit more, and go out later. We thought of eating, and going back to hotel to offload the buys and the service crew can clean after lunch. However, we took a much longer lunch and had to our surprise, the rooms were cleaned up already! Very excellent crew and polite! We enjoyed our stay there! Thank you!

I am hardly to meet such bed service from any hotel's reception. In 12/24 pm 14:10 I gave their reception a phone call. B/c I planned to go out and I hoped someone come to make up my room. So I called No. 9 to the reception. the one who picked up phone answered in very unfriendly and no patience way. I feel so uncomfortable to talk with that women. Honestly the hotel room is not that cheap, the facilities are not that new. 99% stuff in this hotel are really nice, except that unfriendly reception stuff. This is not my first to live in this hotel. But i think i will consider others next time. To avoid to see that unfriendly reception women. 這次住，遇到服務很糟的女櫃檯人員，不用受訓學習應對，就做櫃檯。對該飯店的形象應該是極大的損害吧

Very impressed with this boutique hotel. It's a hotel rather than a B&B and had underrated themselves by naming it B&B. In Yilan, you either stay at Jiaoxi for the thermal spa (I recommend) or close to night market at Luodong (There are much better ones in Taipei). This ISPAVITA was the best hotel of the 5 we stayed in Taiwan, and we selected on Agoda ratings 8 and above. We didn't see any good offerings from Airbnb in Yilan. ISPAVITA is the choice, without doubt. The thermal spa in the room (the Raingo room) is large and great for a romantic night and very relaxing. With just 3 rooms a floor it is a rather private place to yourself. Only downside, not much view, some faint noise of construction a street away in the late morning.

A nice, modern, clean hotel with very good service, professional staff and a very nice breakfast buffet with a very large selection of things. Obviously this is a good hotel for families with small children - they even organise special parties for them. However, the location of the hotel, though calm and nicely laid out, is terrible. There is absolutely nothing around the hotel, not even restaurants. You will have to take a taxi ride (10 minutes) down to Yilan.

This is a new hotel. I chose this hotel because they offered a surprised present. It's rather nice. The room was ok and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast is amazing. It's a pity we did not use the hotel facility much. Bathroom is simple but I wish there's a trash can under the sink.

Love the design and interior of the hotel. Very cozy and Japanese like. The room is not too big but the bathroom with the private onsen in every room is spacious enough. In-room TV has some kind like Netflix feature which is not bad at all and it has a parking lot just opposite of the hotel so there will be no problem for those who plans to rent a car. Breakfast is not too many options but the garlic bread spread is so so delicious! The afternoon shift receptionist shared a not too practical suggestion on how to go to Mr. Brown Castle Cafe and Lanyang Museum, which is by train and once i reach Wai Ao train station as suggested, there is no one there so i have to walk around 30 minutes to Lanyang Museum because there is no taxi, no bus, not even a bike to go there from that train station, so it is better to rent a car or just pay for whole day taxi to go around Yilan.

If it’s your goal to escape anything and everything causing stress in your life, take a trip to Taiwan and visit Jiaoxi Maple Leaves Hot Spring Hotel in Yilan County. Around an hour’s drive from Taipei, this is a tiny town with fantastic hot springs.This place is the best respite from work, technology, trendy crowds, malls, school, and so forth. The room is very spacious, can accomodate at least 4 people!! and the double beds are HUGE! The hotspring is nice and clean, not very crowded. On the ground level I think there are about 4 different pools. These are common for both genders to share, so swimming attire need to be worn. Each having different temperatures. So test the waters out and see what you’re comfortable with. Ipersoanlly like the pool at the rooftop, where nudity is mandatory. There, in the coldness of the winer air and the slight drizzle falling on my face, I am truly relaxed in the soothing waters of the hot spring. It’s heaaaaaven. The hotel is kind of like Jiaoxi’s navigational icon…it is packed in every direction with dozens of eateries, restaurants, health clubs and railway and bus stations, all within easy walking distance. Speaking of eateries, directly opposite the hotel’s entrace is a row of street food stalls. The one to the far right facing the hotel serves up great tasting and fresh seafood at reasonable prices. This time we visit Yilan. First night stayed at RSL. The best hotel to stay in Suao .....is here! With cold and hot springs bath tubs, sumptuous dinner and breakfast, a relaxing massage, very friendly and helpful staff, will definitely come back again!

I come to the hotel with my friend, after I leave the hotel, I just wonder I lost my diamond earing. I called my Taiwan cousin to contact the hotel, and really lucky that they have pick up my earing. However, since I need to leave Taiwan very soon, so I can't pick it up by myself, and the hotel is really good, they sent out to my cousin' home. I really thanks this hotel and highly recommend to stay in this hotel.

First of all, I have to say the prices of wow happy hotel is very affordable. This time, my boyfriend and I booked a double-standard room including one day breakfast for two people which only cost less than NTD$2,000 per night. As we known, Jiaoxi is a rural town, but the level prices here are high because it is one of famous tourist attractions in north Taiwan. So, basically it is hard to find such cheap hotel, especially during the high season like summer or winter. Secondly, the room is not big but facilities inside the room are complete. There is a decent bath tub in the bathroom which is clean. We soaked a bath and felt really relaxing. Last, as for the most important point which is cleanliness of the room, I have to say it is impeccable. There is no dust in the closet and the desk. Also, the bed is comfortable and without weird smelling.

The location of the hotel was great as it was within 5 - 10 min walk from the Luodong Night Market. Even though we only stayed for a night in the hotel, we were pleased with the quality of service and the clean room that was provided to us. One drawback of the hotel is that there was no proper cupboard for us to hang our clothes. Nonetheless, the room was clean and the complimentary breakfast was great! Having free-to-use laundry services was also an added bonus for our stay. Overall, we'll recommend Loya Herb Art Hotel to our friends who will be visiting Luodong/Yilan.

Finding this hotel was rather straightforward and easy. It's about 7mins walking distance from the Jiaoxi TRA station. Just around the hotel area, there's already a few things you can do and see such as soaking your feet in park just directly besides the hotel, and/or walk around to see any onsen options. I was being upgraded to a twin bed room for free due to some issues, and this room was big. And as shown in the pictures, there will be a bath tube there, with hot water readily available. Totally recommended this hotel~

Location is fantastic. Located across the street from the front of Luodong train station (back is the bus station). Just 3mins away, super convenient. There are tourist bus that brings you around Yilan from the bus station. Hive hotel is on the right side when you face the road (with the train station behind you). Just after a bubble tea shop called MILK SHOP. Rooms are clean & nice as per pictured. Enough space to open up three 28" luggages comfortably. Love the Loccitane toiletries, snacks & drinks provided! My booking included daily bfast. Quality food & drinks provided, with 3 choices available (they don't change their menu daily tho). There are also many eateries around the area & Luodong night market is nearby (less than 10mins away). Turn right out of hotel, turn left when you see the 1st traffic light, walk on then turn right after the next traffic light you see. Use Google map to navigate. Staff are all very friendly. Highly recommend Hive!

This hotel is only one year old. I am sure it is the best in this small town. Most of hotel staffs are kind but lack of experience. I believe it is due to lack of training or lack of good management team to lead. From service point of view, I would rate 2.5 stars. Breakfast is ok. Dinner is way below average.

The room we were stayed has excellent view of the whole Yilan town. The location is just inside the main street of Jiaosi where you could find all local food.. One word to describe "EXCELLENT"

Yilan train station was only a 5~8 mins walk away, and the night market is just across the road from the hotel, how awesome is that! They open till around 1am, and there's just lots of good food and shopping in the area. A grocery store is located nearby as well. Breakfast is superb too, a must-try is the 'lu rou fan' or braised meat with rice. You may also like to try the Su'ao cold spring at Su'ao, which is a mere 40mins train ride (or less) + a 5mins walk from Yilan station. Another night market worth dropping by will be the Luo Dong Night Market at Luo Dong station, a stop away from Yilan station.
