Rockhampton City Center hotels & places to stay

The stay was fantastic, staff were pleasant and attentive, the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. I hadn't booked further accommodation due to the fact I didn't know if I was going to enjoy the hotel or not but ended up enjoying the place so much I rebooked and stayed an extra night with them. Will definitely consider them when next travelling to Rockhampton

Close to shopping malls and centers, The hotel was very clean, linen and pillows smells good, Affordable rates and the staff were keen in catering to our every requests. It was a nice stay and will defo book again on our next month visit to Rocky.

I must say that staying at the CBD Executive Apartments has been an outstanding experience for me. As a very frequent traveler I found the service throughout the complex to be exceptional. Staff were warm, friendly and professional. I arrived stressed and exhausted and left relaxed and happy. I could not recommend Cindy and her team highly enough. It shall now be my preferred accommodation in Rockhampton!

Large room with a very comfortable bed. Slightly bizarre to have the bath in the main room and not in a separate room like the toilet. Enjoyable stay and could easily have stayed a second night. Try to eat before 8pm in Rockhampton as it's very hard to find anywhere open apart from fast food shops after that.

We arrived in Rockhampton,on a hot sunny afternoon to be greeted at the Travelodge,,by a friendly smiling receptionist.After settling into our room,we then were lucky to be assisted by the receptionist,with helpful directions,to points of interest in the town,together with advice on restaurants and cafes for lunch and dinner.She was able to also give us clear directions,in how to drive to some appointments that we had made across town. We found that we had no problems in following her directions and arriving at our scheduled interviews.This of course,was a great help and meant that we experienced no delays,in an unfamiliar town.The receptionist was also very kind in offering suggestions,as to other sightseeing points of interest,in the short time we were to stay in Rockhampton.She was able to give my daughter,some contact people to talk to,to help her settle into a new work and living environment. When we needed additional items for our stay in the room,our requests were met with prompt attention and service.This was very pleasing as the hotel was fully booked for the entire period of our stay.It was a very good location for walks along the riverfront and the view of the river from our balcony was excellent and relaxing.

Good place for a motel and value for money. Only stopped for the one night so it was an easy in and out stay. Next door Indian restaurant is excellent. Good amenity inside room. Thank you.

The Edge Serviced Apartments in Rockhampton is the best hotel in town. It is located on the river in the CBD. The rooms are big, clean and well equipped. The staff is very nice and helpful. The restaurant downstairs has great food especially for dinners. Rockhampton is not an exciting place to visit, but if you are there anyway, The Edge is by far the best place to stay at.

This was the first of three bookings I made to stay in Rockhampton, and by far the BEST. Don’t waste your time or money on the place called “Fitzroy Hotel” (make sure you book at the Fitzroy Motor Inn; at the very least your car will be safe!) The staff at Fitzroy Motor Inn are delightful and professional, I wish I had gotten my second booking correct and rebooked here. The rooms are wonderfully quiet, and are a great size. The shower cubicle was a decent size and had a door (not a curtain!). Shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, liquid body soap all provided as well. Did I mention that the rooms are super quiet?! There are also plenty of powerpoints for charging your electronics! Easy access to fast food restaurants, and not far from the middle of town (& only a short drive from the restaurant and nightclub scene). After three booking experiences in Rockhampton, if Fitzroy Motor Inn has rooms available then I would not book anywhere else!

You can’t go wrong! Perfect location right in downtown next to the river. Friendly professional management and staff,outstanding five star meals at reasonable prices,good varied entertainment,comfortable spotlessly clean rooms and amenities.

I chose to stay at this motel firstly on price and cleanliness shown on their site - I was not disappointed and have already recommended this motel to a friend who was looking for value for money for an overnight stay in Rockhampton. I checked in just after 3 pm and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. I was also asked at checkin if I required their wifi services which was pleasant as at most other motels I have had to ask for this service. I stayed for two nights and my room was very clean and comfortable.

The restaurant served delicious food catering to our food sensitivities which made our stay really enjoyable. Rockhampton was a pleasant surprise.

We have stayed here a few times and it is so easy when travel through . Easy access to get on and off the highway . Friendly staff , clean rooms and take away food stores right next door . Everything you need when you need a quick clean place to put your head down for the night .

Friendly reception staff and suitable facilities for an overnight stopover. In walking distance to an excellent breakfast cafe - Dingles. Definitely recommend both.

Clean and comfortable stay located close to restaurants and town in Rockhampton. Would stay again.

I made a last minute booking in the evening and then rang ahead to make sure that my arrival time was ok. The manager couldn't be helpful enough and was very polite and accommodating. Got my keys, a clean room and good undercover parking. It was only a short stay but I will stay again there next time I'm in town! Perfect for my budget!

Our stay in the 4 bedroom serviced apartment was ideal. There were great living spaces for our large clan to gather and relax, the bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed and the location was picturesque and quiet, but located close to the city centre. We used the barbecue and self catering facilities and had plenty of room to prepare meals for a large group. TVs, fans and air conditioning in the 4 bedrooms, as well as the living area and the very large balcony added to a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Excellent value for money.

These apartments are in a fantastic location, right on the Fitzroy river and within walking distant to lots of restaurants and cafes. They are clean and spacious with everything you need for a long stay. We had one problem while we were there - no hot water on the morning of our check out. The issue was resolved within 20 minutes and our checkout was extended at no charge to give us extra time. The staff were friendly and very helpful in helping us find groceries late at night. Would highly recommend Quest Rockhampton
