Lovely place”
This place is great! The rooms are very nice for the price, they are way more interesting and cool that what you see on the pics, we booked only one night and we stayed for almost 4, the area next to the river is just amazing ! We enjoyed every day a lot :)

unique!”
We stayed here for 2 nights but should have stayed for a 3rd night rather than moving further up the river. The treehouses are rustic but very clean (I especially enjoyed the coconut shower head in the bathroom). Samons Village has a great lazy laid back vibe the likes of which we haven't found anywhere else during our travels in SE Asia. To top it off, the staff is very friendly and tge food is delicious and cheap. I 100% recommend.

Fantastic!”
This property is absolutely wonderful. From the attentive and lovely staff to the beautiful river front location to the very cool tree top bungalows, Samon Village is a top notch place. I truly enjoyed my three day stay and wish I could have stayed even longer! Don't be deterred by the distance to town, it's an easy 25 minute walk or a quick tuk tuk ride.

Relax by the river”
I stayed in the tree house right by the river which meant great views. It was also right above the communal area / restaurant / bar which meant solid wifi but a little noise at night. The mosquito net is very good which is reassuring but make sure you don't mind little bugs, you are in a tree house after all. The food was delicious. Bathroom can get a muddy due to the location.

Fantastic accomodation in a beautiful setting”
Couldnt believe my eyes walking into the restaurant/chilling area on the river, beautiful. First time in a bungalow like this and even for a "precious traveller" was good for me - not too much wildlife and mosquito nets protect. Very helpful and friendly staff. Extended stay twice!

Chill riverside huts”
The location on the edge of the river is beautiful and still not too far from town, hiring a scooter from Samon's for $5 a day is best. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We liked that they do water refills for 50c, while no cheaper than buying a bottle you're not wastefully consuming more plastic. There is music at night coming from a nearby resort but it's not so loud that it will stop you sleeping, so don't worry about some of the reviews which talk about the loud music. The huts themselves are obviously very basic but their fine and fun for a short stay. They were clean enough (how clean can a hut ever get). We did have some friends we shared with (a 30cm lizard in the roof and a frog in the bathroom) who were very good at eating any insects!

Excellent”
Staff were the friendliest I've come across in a long time. Ice cold beers as you look out onto the lake and watch the colour of it turn from green to blue and then orange to pink during sunset. The double bed was ace. If you're skittish about bugs then think twice about staying here.

Rustic cool, mosquitoes not a problem. Better swimming further down river. Bring earplugs for night ”
Great location. Tranquil during day but no quiet hours. Great waterpark Arcadia further down the road.

Lovely location”
We stayed directly on the water and the bungalow was great. The water shut off briefly in the middle of a shower, but shortly came back on and we had no other problems. The food was pretty good as well. The staff are very kind, but highly aloof and literally got every order we made wrong or took it to another table. Additionally, the staff had a private party on the property the first night we were there and blared music until 1am in spite of the fact their bar closed at 11pm, which left guests with no option but to return to their rooms and wait for the private party to end before being able to sleep. Our second night was peaceful and we slept well. Also, the $5 per day scooter rentals here are great and well worth the trip to Bokor. Just know they'll show up on an empty tank & you'll need to fill them at the station down the road.

Tranquil but cramp village. Very hard if you drive a car there. Place is well presented. Mosquitos are quite bad at night.

Wonderfull place could be cleaner”
A fantastic nature and huts! But it could be around and in the restaurant cleaner than it is. Better control is needed for silence. If someone is for a while loud on the phone in the restaurant area because only here is wifi, staff should forbid to disturb others on this way. Huts on the too of trees are world class. Restaurant ok. Shakes very good.

Ignorant Manager”
Location
Samon's village was in a good location, however the manager was arrogant and rude. He grunted at most of the questions we asked him and came back to the accomodation drunk at 3am with friends. This behaviour would not have bothered me if I was staying at a party hostel but I wasn't.

Quaint, clean huts in a great atmosphere”
Restaurant ambiance/view, cleanliness, smoothies
Samon Village greatly surpassed my expectations! Our first time staying in hut-like accommodations, we expected insect infestations, floods, plagues, etc, but staying in an elevated room was perfect. There were fewer pesky critters than in our apartment in Ho Chi Minh! We opted for a room with running water (unheated) which was completely comfortable (it stays at a refreshing room temperature). The restaurant, though it takes a serious amount of time for an order to be delivered to your table, is wonderful. We only had breakfast and drinks there, but the buffet dinners looked and smelled amazing. The options of seating on the veranda overlooking the water were so charming, a beautiful place to rest with a good book during the day as well as a friendly and lively place to grab a drink at night. Samon Village is about a $2-3 tuktuk ride from "downtown," walkable (if you're a walker.) Overall an enchanting stay.

Lovely getaway”
Riverside, peace, secluded
Had a two night stay, one night in the room with private bathroom, and second with the shared. Both were good, with bathrooms clean. Rooms are obviously basic as they are bungalows, but mosquito nets present to ward off bugs during the night. The restaurant set up is fantastic, so chill and felt like you had your own space even with other people there. Food was reasonably priced with staff attentive. About a 20 minute walk into town which is hard during the heat of the day, so be prepared to spend most of your time here unless you want to get a tuk tuk. Thanks for the lovely stay, hopefully will be back!

Comforable”
River Side's Restaurant
Due to the khmer new year, Samon Village's restaurant don't provide any food(only for drink). So we have to go back to city to find the restaurant. However, stay in their restaurant very comforable.
