Friendly, central and relaxing”
This hotel is central and in the same building as the train station. It is a short walk to the mall and a little further you can be in south bank in less than 30 mins. The staff were freindly but because of the time of year at times I had to ask for service where other people seemed to be getting coffee tea etc without asking as the staff were more attentive to them.

Brisbane gem”
We have stayed at Brisbane Sofitel Central on at least 4 occasion. It is located close to CBD and to the Central train station have been the key reasons for choosing this superb hotel. Airtrain provides a direct connection to and from airports with internal access from hotel. Would recommend

Excellent Location on top of Brisbane Central Station”
Convenient location for access to Brisbane city center and Queen Street shopping areas. The hotel is a little dated for lack of modern travel necessities such as USB connectors and A/C sockets near the bedsides.

Review”
Hotels need to move away from these bathtub shower combos. It’s old and shit. Biggest downer for this place is that there is no dedicated shower. You have to squeeze into a bathtub that’s suited to the size of a child.

Not as good as it used to be”
I used to love staying at the Sofitel. However, this time was like staying in a 4 star hotel. The noise from shouting children at the pool, traffic and the banging doors from guests and the housekeeping staff made my stay terrible. At least I was upgraded to the top floor but still this made no difference to the amount of constant noise I had to endure so all in all it made my holiday worse than being at home.

The hotel is in need of update. Quite dark, gloomy inside. Not 5 star standard. There are nicer, newer hotels in Brisbane.

Rude unfriendly staff. Not helpful. Not welcoming. Stayed in the Darling Harbour was great very professional. Brisbane not good at all. Such a waste of time and money. Staff need some serious training.

Lovely hotel in a very central location”
We were upgraded to a Corner Suite which was fantastic- spacious, nicely furnished and very comfortable. We used the Executive Club lounge which was very nice- great views over Brisbane, very comfortabl and friendly, helpful staff. The only major disappointment was the breakfast served in the lounge which offered a very limited choice and simply was not up to the usual Sofitel standards. Club guests are not allowed to have breakfast in the hotel's main restaurant which is disappointing as this is usually the option given in most hotels that offer Club facilities. The hotel's location above Central Station could not be more convenient. We got the train from the Gold Coast to Brisbane and there is a direct access from the Station to the hotel- all you need to do is go up two escalators to reach the hotel lobby. The staff at the Sofitel Brisbane are charming and helpful and the check in and check out were handled very efficiently. I would definitely recommend the Sofitel Brisbane to any traveller who wants a very comfortable hotel in the heart of the city.

Location Location”
Arrived in Brisbane on an early flight - 6am -knowing we would probably have to wait for a room. By 9am we were in our room and having a couple of hours sleep. Our room on 24th floor was clean and spacious facing away from the city, but that didnt worry us. The hotel is located above the central railway station, so we were able to catch the train from the airport, alight at Central and travel up a couple of escalators to the hotel foyer. The conciege desk was manned by very efficient and friendly people who supplied maps and could give us answers to all questions. We were in close proximity to the everything in the city and we within walking (albiet a 'good' walk) from Southbank which is the restaurant area of Brisbane. I would recommend it to my friends and would stay there again.

Issues come up but how they are dealt with makes the difference ”
My sister and I were staying 2 nights around our early family Christmas lunch at Thyme2 after our first night we discovered a leak in the bathroom ceiling through a light fixture so we called guest relations who promptly sent up a handyman who discovered it wasn’t just condensation from air conditioning which they had suspected but a leaking pipe we were moved to the room next door by the concierge we received complimentary on demand movies and my sisters car parking fee was waived for our inconvenience. The lunch at Thyme2 was fantastic and I also used the gym several times which is great and has a stunning view - well done Sofitel Brisbane!

Nice Hotel in a Convenient Location”
First time staying at Sofitel Brisbane and was delighted to find out that the hotel is actually linked to Central Station. It is 2-3 streets away from the shopping street and has nice cafes nearby. Travelling to and from the Brisbane Airport is also a breeze (about 20 mins) by train from Central Station. Hotel-wise, however, is a tad below the 5-star Sofitel experience. No complimentary bottled water in the room and to be fair, the room furnishing looks more like a business 4-star hotel. There is also no complimentary wi-fi or internet access (hotel charges A$10 for a 2-hour internet connection). Nonetheless, checking-in and out is a breeze and overall, the staff are friendly and well mannered.

Professional, proficient and polite!”
I would definitely stay at the Sofitel Brisbane again. I checked in at 8am in a hurry to get to a conference and parked in the valet area. My luggage was briskly taken to my room by the courteous and extremely professional concierge service. It only took 2 minutes to check in and I was in a taxi with and on my way. On my return at 8 that evening I was greeted with a smile, picked up my key and headed to the 27th floor to discover one of the most luxurious beds that I have ever slept in. I unfortunately didn't have time to spend in the public areas in the lobby, but the restaurant looked lovely and the bar looked well worth an evening cocktail.
