Great hotel for the price, very helpful staff, you can find everything at the front desk, motorbike rentals (cheaper than on the street), laundry and excursions. Location is within minutes from center/night market.
Couldn't fault this place. It is in a great location, just 5-10 minute walk from the main area of Luang Prabang so nice and quiet. We booked 3 nights, and then extended another 3 due to food poisoning (not from the hotel). The young guy who runs the hotel (Sen I think his name is) was extremely helpful and kind. When I had food poisoning I couldn't leave the hotel to get food and only wanted plain bread. He brought me a tray with a warm baguette, jam, butter, fruit, tea and water. It is this kind of service that sets a hotel apart from others. Breakfast every morning of baguette, jam, tea, fruit and eggs made to order. Wifi was okay. Hotel was clean. Sen also helped us organise a motor bike rental and was so helpful. Would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.
A quiet place to rest. ”
This place is a bit of 20 minutes walk to the main tourist area but it is okay for me. The place is well kept with nice garden. Only if there are shower gel and shampoo in the bath room instead of 2 bars of tiny soap it will be better. I couldn't finish the soaps within 2 days; so I think this could be a waste. Liquid soap could be of more value for money. I like the helpful fat male housekeeper. I emailed to the hotel that I will be arriving at 6am but I arrived at 4.50am instead. I found that the gate was locked. I pressed the gate bell and knocked at the gate. I could have wake him up from the house he was staying behind as he came and opened the gate for me. He let me check-in at 5am instead of the usual 2pm. He gave me the key to the room to rest. What a nice person he is as I know some hotels will just let you leave the bag at the counter and ask you to come back at 2pm to check-in.
Spic and span - refurbished and lovely position”
the room was very nice though small. we did not have a bathroom but the toilets were close and there were not many guests to use them. we had an early start for going to laos so we did not have breakfast but had tea/coffee several times in our overnight stay. though the position by the river is great it's not right in the main part of town and about 2km from the cargo port and ferry to laos
a pleasant, clean and calm place to rest.”
The main part of the Hotel is in the process of being build, so expect a bit of noise in the morning. However, existing rooms are quite at night and the bed is comfortable. Currently hot showers are (supposedly) available in rooms within the old main house.
very helpful staff”
the room was nice and quiet but basic, the shower is amazing so worth it just for that! best of all though was the lady who runs the place, she is super friendly and helps you with everything you need. for the price we paid we thought this was a great deal.
Great guesthouse for a lovely stay in L. Prabang”
There is something special about this guesthouse that matches exactly with the overall atmosphere of this amazing town of Luang Prabang. It is so charming with a beautiful garden in a quiet environment that you will feel at home. The biggest asset of this guesthouse is by far its super kind staff especially its female owner that will do everything to make your stay unforgettable and always here to hep you out if you need any guidance. You can trust my words, this is the perfect place, so do not hesitate.
The hotel is slightly off the beaten path (but still only a 10-15 minute walk to the Night Market Street), but the staff were very helpful. The place is clean, quiet, and the breakfast with was delicious - and plentiful. Would highly recommend. Mr. Sen (the person who runs reception and helps manage the place) is a great guy.
Decent in comparison with other Laos properties”
The staff could have been more friendly. But I stayed in many places in Laos and find all hotel & restaurant people to be unfriendly. It is sad because the day to day Lao people are awesome! Also this one is a bit further from the center than many others so if you do not have a motorbike you will do more walking.
We had an amazing stay here. The staff is super nice and very helpful. We unfortunately had to go to the hospital but they sent someone from the staff with us to help with the language barrier and arrange our transport. Couldn't have asked for a better service. Best breakfast weve had in a very long time travelling all around se asia. Short walk from city center so you get the best of both worlds. Close enough to the center but far enough to sleep quietly through the night.
Good but a bit far”
This place was fine. They have Aliza oven but we didn't get a chance to eat it. The staff was helpful when our ride didn't show up to bring us to the bus station. A bit of a walk to downtown but it was fine!
helpful staff but no tv n expensive bicycle rental”
Very good hotel with excellent staff and clean but kindly take note that this hotel DO NOT have in room TV or TV lounge except for 1 TV in family room although the facilities listed with shared lounge/TV area. The hotel bicycle rental is 20,000 kip per day which is double the rate of outside (10,000 kip per day).
OK for this time”
Staff was very nice and if the owner would train them in the basics it could become a nice little jewel. The advertised car park was the narrow drive-in into the hotel; as the only car we did manage though. The rooms, dark and needing electric light during the (otherwise) bright day, the shower functioning but uncomfortably squeezed into the corner next to the toilet bowl, the room fairly clean. Unpleasant was the construction of a metal sheet roof with adequate noise, instead of airing the rooms some heavy duty air fresheners were used to the extend that we almost got sick (opened window and run fan/air-conditioning full speed to get this terribly sweet smell out. A neighbour's dog was barking all the time; nobody seemed to care but kept us awake (we got ear plugs next day). Elderly housekeeping lady-cum-cook very nice, the youngsters would need some putting-straight as they were seated in the deck chairs on their iPhones instead of helping the elder lady in her daily work. We stayed two days and moved to another hotel for the remaining three days. Value-for-money soso lala, we would not stay there again.
Quaint and Very Friendly”
In all fairness, this was a very pleasant place. The rooms are a bit small but if you're in Luang Prabang to tour and only need a place to sleep, it's great. They also have the nicest staff and owners. I just am not the kind of person who likes being around children at all, and we were already travelling in a group with a rambunctious little kid. Also travelling during the Lao New Year didn't make it pleasant as I do not like getting splashed or sprayed on. There were children running in and out of the property, and one of them insisted on spraying me even thought she had been asked very nicely earlier in the day not to do so by my staff (we were travelling together in a group, as mentioned before) so I was forced to move to a hotel that could guarantee I would not have to deal with the presence of children. With that said, this was a nice place, if you just need a room to crash and a scrumptious breakfast before departing for the day on your adventures, and of course can tolerate children...I'd day this would be the place for you. You'll be very pleased with the staff and the owners, the German lady who was there to help take care of her grandkids and her friend was the sweetest people in the world.
Only enough hot water for one shower. ”
It was nice. We were excited to have hot water but it quickly ran out and there was only enough for one shower. The hotel surroundings are quiet and not too far from the main tourist strip. The breakfast was really good and the setting was great. Laundry can be done in just a few hours for a reasonable price.
We liked this hotel. The rooms are clean, but a bit small. The breakfast is included in the price and is good. The staff is friendly. I think they prefer if customers pay cash rather than book via Agoda.
Second stay here, great breakfast, nice staff”
Lovely stay, nice staff, good location. We liked our previous stay here so much that we booked another 4 days here. The staff are lovely and the breakfast is one to look forward to everytime you wake up. There is a 10min walk to the night market which is very easy and simple.
Great staff, great breakfast, good shopping”
Great staff, great breakfast. We loved Luang Prabang. Staying here was really nice and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. It is about a 10 min walk to the main night market and shops. We loved everything in Luang Prabang.
Comfortable, Friendly, Quiet”
We were due to be in Luang Prabang for only a few days but found that we loved the town so much we couldn't leave. The staff at the hotel were attentive, helped us to arrange extra nights and even held on to our bags for us when we went on an overnight trek, leaving them in our room for us upon our return. The hotel provides a laundry service with same day return, and this too was often simply waiting for us in our room when it was done. They helped us arrange tuk tuk's to anywhere we needed to go and were generally very accommodating and full of smiles. It's a little out of the way, not directly on the main peninsula where the night market is, but it's no more than a 10 minute walk away, and this makes for a quieter nights sleep, in my opinion, anyway. I would recommend it.
Nice, quiet family run guesthouse”
Really excellent customer service. We arrived from the sleeper bus at 7am and were shown to a twin room which, we could use for the day and night and were then moved into our double the next morning. Location was close enough to the town to be easily accessible but not too close to be bothered by noise. Breakfast had an option which was nice. The only downside was the electrics blew our laptop charger, mayb we were just unlucky but still a bit of a pain. Would stay here again when in Luang Prabang.
