Nice & friendly staff”
Nice staff, good service. However the pool was not clean in the morning (I saw dirty froth on water). And one of 2 windows in my room has the view overlooking 2 graves. It was scary at night. The staff offered us other room but none of them has the acreage over 40m2 & riverside view. We booked & paid a higher-price room for these standards.
People are friendly
Very nice stay”
Nice quiet location on the island, 10-15min walking distance from the city center but worth it! Old style furnitures and decoration, it makes the charm of the hotel.Room is big and comfortable with a good balcony. Breakfast is buffet style at the roof top with a beautiful view. Staffs are friendly.
Stayed here previously a few years back. Area is a good 15 minute walk from the main tourist part of Hoi An which might put some people off , we preferred this as it a nice quiet location. Check in was quick with no hassle .Rooms are comfortable and have everything required, good size with old style furniture , but this is part of the charm of the hotel. Breakfast is excellent with great views from the rooftop. Pool was nice though doesn't get the sun all of the day due to its location. A few bars and shops close by, bicycles available for rent - take a cycle ride to the beach it isn't that far and you can come back through the paddy fields.

Good value hotel ”
We enjoyed our stay here. The location is about a 5 minute walk into the old town and a 20 min bike ride to the beach (you can rent bikes opposite the hotel really cheaply). The rooms were a good size and the pool is nice too. Good breakfast selection.
Great location. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.
Sticky floor and old”
Not an ideal place to stay . too dirty room
Nice pool and large family room”
Nice hotel with pool. Breakfast is fine but should be improved.
Great location, friendly staff, lovely hotel”
This hotel exceeded expectations, but the best part was the staff. Ms. Nga and Ms. Nam in reception were always smiling and willing to assist. Ms. Vi, Ms. Bich and Mr. Lam also were so kind and welcoming. Thanks to this positive, friendly atmosphere, we felt like we got to know some great people during our stay!
We are two backpackers, and stumbled upon the Van Loi. It is a beautiful hotel with some of the nicest staff. We usually stay at backpacker hostels, but for Hoi An, this is definitely the best spot. The only proper backpacker hostel in town is the Sunflower, which is terribe. Do yourself a favor and stay here instead.
Great value great location”
Room 421 with balcony over looking pool, room spacious, safe in room, water everyday and fruit in room. Breakfast lovely selection. Staff speak good English. Close to old town, restaurants, massages. This is or 2nd visit and just love everything about this hotel.
The only hotel to stay in Hoi An ”
This was by far the best hotel we have stayed In whist travelling through Vietnam. Staff are super friendly and will help you with your onward journey or arrange tours. The hotel is spotless. Location is 10 mins from the ancient city over the footbridge. Cam Nam is like a tiny village island, not so much of a choice of food around but there is quite a few little places to buy water, get your laundry done and hire bikes. Good breakfast with a wide choice of Western and Asian food (restaurant food is good too) Wifi is excellent. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!
Excellent Week in Hoi An”
A very clean and well appointed hotel in a fine location to experience the old city. Ms Linh and the entire staff at reception were very helpful arranging excursions to Hue and Marble Mountain and taxis to the airport. Mr Dinh (not sure of the name) presided over an ample breakfast buffet and was also very helpful.
Best hotel stay in Vietnam”
Stayed here for 5 days. Absolutely the best hotel we have stayed at in Vietnam. Rooms were lovely and the pool/bar area was great for relaxing. Breakfast was good by SE Asian standards. Best thing about the hotel is the location, an easy 5 min walk into town with bike/scooter hire directly across the road where you can hire a push bike for $1 a day. Highly recommend this hotel.
Great views, large rooms, great staff”
This is a beautiful hotel just over the bridge from old town. Staff was very helpful and even called our airline to change our flights (because we extended our stay!). Breakfast buffet on the rooftop is a great way to start the morning and it's a big spread. Convenient bicycle rentals outside. Overall great experience.
Relaxed yet covenient location”
I stayed here with my 2 friends. We stayed in Hoi An for three nights and felt the hotel was in a perfect location. Our room was spacious and very well kept. While we spent most of our days and nights outside of the hotel, we were still able to enjoy all of it's amenities and were always glad to return to a comfortable bed. It is a very good hotel.
great location great pool”
Great being so close to the old town and having a nice pool also. The old town has an awesome atmosphere with all its cafes and shops, especially at night, so it was ideal being close enough to walk there. Lots of bike hire handy for $1 per day which is an nice way to get to the beach also a great laundry opposite. Only negative was the air conditioning seemed to struggle to keep up but maybe that was because it was nearly 40 degrees, we seemed to have that issue in other hotels too.
A great place to stay”
We came back here for the second time, having loved it before. The location on Cam Island is great - a pleasant village atmosphere but very close to town. There are lovely views from the hotel over the islands and the river estuary - breakfast on the 5th floor is in a super location and the food is very good. Hoi An has loads to offer - great for countryside and for the beach and a humming town with really good crafts. The hotel were really helpful with our 4pm departure. They looked after our luggage so we had a full day and then had a late afternoon swim and they made a room available for us to shower and change for our journey. A great hotel.
Close to the centre, quiet and friendly ”
We really enjoyed staying here. The hotel is on Nam island just across from the market - so really convenient but also relatively quiet. The area had a very nice village feel - great prices for bikes and laundry with the woman over the road for example. Lovely to cycle around Nam island and also we recommend that you get the ferry (from near the market) to Kim island (10 minutes, 1$) for a great cycle ride. Just ask for Hoi An if you get lost and people will point you towards the ferry. The hotel breakfast was very good, served on the top floor with a great view; the staff were very helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was a great place to go in the heat of the day when it was also shaded from the sun.We like ti so much we are going back. Caroline
