Quiet, peaceful place, great option for classes, and wonderfully healthy food! I'll be back”
My friend and I stayed at Anahata in a bungalow for one night, but came back several times for the restaurant. We also attended two great classes, pranayama & meditation and a morning yoga class. Both taught by Micku. She was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed those classes! I'll come back and stay there the entire time next time.
great location and room facilities. ”
great place to come and relax for some time by the sea. not alot immediately close though. We just stayed here as was close to the hospital and we had to be there every day for a week or so. I can imagine it would be a great place to stay as a couple.
In a string of similar resorts, the outstanding feature of this place was its low price. This turned out to be for a rather bare (but still spacious) bungalow-type room, just steps from the beach. The beach here was completely quiet, with very few people, no vendors, no motorboats. Perfect place to do nothing!
Rustic resort with good restaurant....”
Short stay for just one night but had a good dinner there. Room is large with dressing room and bathroom attached. Area away from it all, very quiet and closer to Nathon then all the other beaches...
Awesome sea view and nice location”
First of all we upgraded the room from the Superior Garden to the Deluxe Sea view. The Sea view Bungalows are more appealing and it is a nice feeling to see the sea when you get up straight from your bed. The walking distance from the Bungalow straight in to the sea is around 10 to 15 meters, pretty close huh. The staff is friendly and experienced; the premises owned restaurant “BigJhon” is quality and price wise excellent and by far much superior compared to aligned beach restaurants such as Niki beach.
Great quiet place”
We loved the place! It has a real relaxing vibe to it and Lipa Noi beach is much more relaxing than Chaweng. There are no large waves and the beach is nowhere near as crowded as on the other side of the Island. The hotel restaurant is good but you can also find cheaper options right outside the hotel. You also have small convenience stores a few minutes away and a larger 7/11 and family mart within a 10 minute walk. Scooters are rented for 200 baht a day and you can get a discount if you rent it for a longer period. We stayed in the family villa in the north wing and it was lovely and quiet. We didn't find the family villas at the south wing to be as good.
I enjoyed my stay at this resort. It is an older resort but well maintained and for the money it was just what we were looking for. The breakfast, included was better than what I had thought and the staff at the restaurant especially Kay and Jub were always smiling and very attentive. Overall if you want a resort that's in a quieter area of Koh Samui and don't want to spend a lot, this is the place. The beach was nice and very walkable from end to end and there are numerous local restaurants all within a short walk, not to forget Big Johns which is part of the resort.
Pros: -great food, good drinks, good beach, clean beach, great local restaurant nearby the hotel, friendly staff, English speaking, good cleaning. Cons: -the bungalow is a bit worn, the bed was hard for back, many dogs outside when you went further and a bit aggressive , the message lady was not so polite, too far from city.
A vey good vacation”
Stayed 4 nights, I was looking for quite, sea closeness, clean A/C room and a good resturant and found those here!. - bungalow is perfect for couples - shower stream not very strong - clean pool - need motorbike if you want city vibes - remote, quite, beautifull beach - great breakfast plenty to choose - expansive resturant, delicous good Higly recomended
beautiful location, wonderful staff”
Lovely resort, beautiful location and wonderful staff. Great value for money especially when staying in a group. Beach is beautiful and relaxing and not too busy. Great breakfast as well! Overall highly recommended if you're looking for a great value location right on the beach.
Upon arrival, upgrade to beach view villa greatly appreciated. All staff were very friendly and provided great service. Location is immediately adjacent to beach. Great breakfast with a wide variety of foods to select from. Good restaurant meals at reasonable prices. Handy to have on site taxi service available. Convenience of excellent on site massage.
We loved staying at the Lipa Lovely. We stayed during low season in October, so it was wonderfully quiet. We initially booked for two nights, but since we enjoyed it so much, we fit in two extra nights at the end of our trip. The food was delicious, as were the cocktails. Our daily favourite was the fantastic mango freshie. The staff were particularly helpful. When we came back we booked directly with them so they were able to give us a discount from online.
Value for money”
One of my best value for money stays. Located on the Lipa Noi beach, the resort offers lovely view of the sea and a perfect setting for a sunset dinner. The rooms are spacious(although a little old), but for the price you should not have any complaints whatsoever for an individual cottage. Rooms come with a good breakfast buffet spread. The restaurant also offers good thai and western dishes.
Quiet, relaxing resort with good value for money”
The Lipa Lovely is a quiet, friendly little resort tucked away in Lipa Noi. The staff were really great and very accommodating. The restaurant attached to the resort was particularly good - we dined with a large group of 30+ friends and the kitchen and service staff managed dietary requirements, split bills and timely dinner service really well. The rooms are very clean and comfortable enough, and seem to offer good value for the relatively low rates charged. The bathrooms could do with an update perhaps, but everything worked, hot water was reliable etc. The only disappointment i would say we had was the pool. The management seem a little enthusiastic with the chlorine and the strong chemical smell is a bit of a disincentive for use. Happily, the beach is right at your bungalow door step and makes for nicer swimming anyway, so not using the pool isn't much of a hardship. I did hear that the resort is planning to renovate their pool in the near future, so that will be nice. The area around Lipa Noi is relatively undeveloped compared to most of Koh Samui- there are a few rather nice restaurants to visit, and a few small massage/ spa options between Lipa Noi and Taling Ngam. Mostly though the area is made up of tiny townships and a couple of small businesses. Compared to some of the other larger resorts in Lipa Noi and Taling Ngam which can be a bit anonymous and without much sense of local culture, the Lipa Lovely still feels like Thailand. Would definitely recommend to any one looking for a relaxing, budget friendly location away from the tourist craziness on the north-eastern side of the island.
Lovely Lipa Lovely”
I loved the resort not for it's lovely food nor its lovely villas oh no I loved it because it was "relaxed and homey" and the owners are so friendly and they hire brilliant lovely staff eg The Burmese couple in the dining area 5 star staff Tam and Meow again 5 stars
Quiet and relaxing”
We had a very enjoyable stay here at Lipa Lovely. Our beachside bungalow was amazing, roomy, plenty of windows for ocean views and a wonderful sea breeze when sitting outside. This side of the island has the breeze and the sunsets. We stayed at Chaweng as well and found it too hot, even on the beach there is no breeze. If you want a relaxed and quiet stay on Koh Samui then Lipa Lovely is definitely the place to go. The beds are fairly hard though, but that seems to be a common thing throughout Asia.
Top sunset location”
Stayed 1 night only for a birthday celebration. Location to view the sunset second to none. Big Johns Restaurant very good.Beach Bungalow (205 & 207) spacious and clean. Staff and manager very friendly and efficient. Hotel does need some upkeep, swimming pool needs tile repairs and grouting. Beach idyllic, and although not private, I feel the hotel should walk their section of beach to remove plastic bags and bottles which had been washed up. This would only take an hour per day.Bed a bit too firm for my liking, but would certainly visit again.Note that there is hardly any facilities outside of the hotel.
We stayed at Lipa Lovely for one night to catch a boat the next morning. The grounds are nice and the rooms are good. What made this place wonderful were the staff at reception and at the restaurant. So very friendly and accommodating. We had a standard room and our room had an adjoining door to the next room. There is no sound proofing at all and we were kept awake most of the night by a crying baby. I don't recommend getting this room and I am not sure how many of them there are. Next time I would upgrade.
lovely place to stay but pricey ie food/drinks”
Very nice, just what we needed after travelling . chilling out but a bit pricey. Food/drinks only served till 9pm...shame...one waiter not so nice when it come to 9pm he in fact turned off the lights while we were playing cards!!!
great private bungalow, too expensive restaurant ”
I loved this hotel. I have to say that they charge way too much for average quality Thai food. They do this because they know that they are not close to anything. So, they are able charge high prices for food. Not so bad, don't eat here.
