Lovely atmosphere with a truly amazing thailand styles!”
Amazing atmosphere and A+ stuff services! The toilet in d bottom room r quite old /smelly of #2. The food wasn't quite right for its price! Kept wondering why a 4 stars resort breaky is extra 250b/head & doesn't look as charming , it's cheaper & better to order a dinner menu for a breaky& then didn't even get any discount for a foreign object in d dish! If u don't mind park yr car on d tiny heated rd outside d resort then there's a bus service to town. Overall it s still worthed a visit esp in low season when d price is almost half off.
Lovely hotel with easy access to downtown ”
We stayed for 5 nights and would have liked to stay longer ...it was so relaxing and such a joy to have to walk barefooted on those wooden floors. Breakfasts were excellent with fresh juice and fruit. We used the free shuttle service in to town frequently but taxis were a modest price so no urgency to be punctual for the shuttle. The reception staff were super arranging our various visits to golf club, cooking class, tiger show etc. One negative point was there was little soundproofing between adjoining Lanna rooms...so when we complained we were quickly accommodated in another room Maybe we'll be back as we really enjoyed our stay in ChiangMai
great for relaxing”
Overall is totally great. Especially for the breakfast if u like American style, they are awesome. This place is quite and friendly. But one thing I recommend is swimming pool, if you want to swim here you should bring you glasses with you. It is because chlorine is too strong it will irritate your eye.
Quite, peaceful and relaxing!”
We have stayed at Ban Sabai multiple times. We keep coming back because it is a wonderful place to get away from town without being too far from town. The pool area is beautiful and the rooms are very nice as well. We don't have anything bad to say about Ban Sabai.
We really enjoyed Ban Sabai! We went in low season so we were the only ones there... literally. The staff was very nice and the rooms were amazing. The breakfast that was included was huge and delicious. Western and Thai options were available. We would love to visit again sometime.
The staff was charming and helpful. They all spoke English and were always available in the lobby to ask questions. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. If you want to go shopping the best driver is the one with proton car. He will take you also to golden triangle where is very beautiful.
Peace in Chiang Mai during Songkran”
We visited Ban Sabai resort during Songkran. On the advice of my girlfriend we looked for a hotel outside of the city centre - and this was perfect being about 10mins in a tuk tuk from the town centre. I won't put this as a con because it's obvious from the map this is not in the centre of Chiang Mai! It is very quiet and peaceful and our room was lovely in a traditional Lanna style. Being a small hotel I only saw other guests while I was in the pool (quite small, but very nice being surrounded by palms and other vegetation) or at meal times. I thought the food was very good. The resort has covered walkways with areas where you can sit (I think these are probably used by the Spa/massage - but we weren't told to move) and just enjoy the company of the person your with and the tranquility. The staff were very helpful and assisted us with any queries or requests we made. I would recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay in the future.
Ban Sabai Village & Spa - visitting 10-16 Jan 2010”
Would not suggest to stay in lower floor of wooden villa as the floor of upper level made of wood. It very noisy when the one who's staying over and moved with hard step especially at night. Another thing is type of breakfast for the one who've long stayed not much to select.
An amazing retreat!”
We stayed at Ban Sabai to celebrate our anniversary. We live in Chiang Mai and felt like we were on a holiday by being there. It was very relaxing, the staff was very welcoming, and the dinning experience was romantic and incredible! We will definetly come back again!!!
The room was nice and clean decorated with a Thai style. However, the massage was too expensive. The breakfast was good and heathly. If I have a chance I will go there again. The hotel is very relazing.
Great get away”
We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and had a wonderful stay. Great room with tub and comfortable bed. Quiet surroundings, fantastic lunch and really special candle light dinner for 2. We took advantage of the herbal steam and felt fantastic after.
Good break from the hustle and bustle ”
Had booked 1 night there as we wanted to stay away from the main city...it was a well made lovely hotel/ resort which is about 20 minutes from the old Chaing Mai..the manager in the property could speak English so it was a plus point..the rooms with the open toilet was lovely..the 360• view of the pool was good but your privacy gets compromised..over all a lovely property with lovely owner..the lady owner served food for us at their dining/restaurant..loved that about the property..big kudos to that..would have loved to spend more nights but we're running short of time.
Wonderful resort, best in Chiang Mai ”
We stayed here two separate times, we loved it so much! The first time we stayed, we arrived a day after our booking accidentally, but we were able to stay anyways. We took the free shuttle into town in the evenings, and ate breakfast at the hotel (it's amazing!) Being out of Chiang Mai was very nice and quiet, but the only downfall was the amount we had to tuk tuk back and forth from town during the day. The rooms were beautiful and the staff were very friendly... I would recommend to anyone, and we hope we'll be back one day!
Staff was just very excellent, beyond words. ”
Excellent, even after I left the hotel, the staff, and specially Mr Patt at the front reception helped us very much with organising rest of our stay. I genuinely rate staff in this hotel to be beyond words, much higher than any five star. Dr P Umesh A Perera- Australia
Very polite staff, good hotel but not real bathtub”
The room and BF foods ok, but I quite disappointment about bathtub. It's very small could not call Jacuzzi. Only can be fitting in for 1person at a time. Jacuzzi should be 2person at a times... Caution of this "Jacuzzi" it would be like your imagination.
Exteremly nice hotel but food needs some work.”
Our stay at Ban Sabai was very relaxing and a great end to our trip. The location is kind of away from everything but worth it. The food wasn't very good although the restaurant was very beautiful. I would stay here again!
Could Try Harder.”
In general I had a relaxing 8 nights stay, however for the money there are better options available, we know as our first six nights were at the excellent Sheik Istana Hotel, to the south of Chiang Mai. The Spa facilities are basic, and my wife booked a two hour massage only to have the masseur answer her telephone during the treatment, not once but twice. She did not book any other treatments. The wifi, was poor, we struggled to get on, and sometimes it kicked you off without warning. The rooms are tired and in need of a facelift and in general the gardens are overgrown. It is quiet, except for being on the flightpath, which is noisy on take off. Its a bit out of town, and a taxi will cost you about 200bht to get back. They offer one shuttle per day, at 6pm to the nightmarket. Other hotels seem to lay on more. We did sleep well over the 8 nights and we did enjoy the breakfast, its the small things like stained towels and poor quality shower gels and soaps which let this hotel...it simply needs some TLC.
Relaxing, stress free, staff was so helpful”
Our stay at the Ban Sabai Village Resort & Spa was a great experience. It was outside of the main city of Chiang Mai, probably about a 10-15min tuk tuk from there. The staff was so helpful at helping us plan our day trips and getting us around to see and do what we wanted. The beds were a little hard for our liking, but other than that everything was perfect. The breakfast was like an ala cart you could order what you wanted off the menu and they would go cook it up there in their kitchen. They also had fruit, cereal, and toast and jam sitting out. I would definitely recommend this hotel we were very happy with our stay.
Beautiful rooms and great service ”
Incredibly kind and accommodating staff. Stunning traditional Thai hotel. The food was outstanding. Would visit again and rede highly! The front desk staff were extremely kind gracios and helpful.managers gave a five star experience in very affordable hotel.
Nice place! Great scenery, dodgy wi-fi”
very fresh and clean, lovely staff that were always willing to help and also very cheap food that was lovely. the major issue was that the bed was very very hard. the only other issues were that the pool was dirty and the wifi didn't work in the room but its nothing to really upset anyone as you don't really go to chaing mai to swim and you can sit at reception to use the internet. overall it's was a very nice hotel.
