Very helpful and friendly staffs”
The best part of this stay was the friendly and helpful staffs at Nirwana. Have good selection of restaurants for lunch and dinner. The two bedroom villa is good except that both the rooms are on level 1 and you need to climb up and down. Breakfast is complimentary but options are limited.
Full self serve facilities for families”
Rice cooker, Fridge, Oven, Gas Stove with all the cooking utensils and all dining utensils. Its really good!!! if you bring a quick cook type of food, like those reheat or half cooked type, you can save a lot of money as the resort food are insanely expensive here. We cook our usual rice, with teriyaki chicken for dinner. And managed to prepare lunch rice with black pepper chicken the next day. Both added with instant mee goreng. full meal almost like daily food. The place we are staying looks like just renovated. very clean and new. Resort breakfast was great!!! the nasi kuning deserve an honorable mention. Staff is very friendly. Our boarding pass for ferry back was taken care of. Service is just at very high level. small things like no sandals provided, no toothbrushes, are minor stuffs.
Great Family Getaway”
We went there with 1 senior, 4 adults and 2 kids below 3 years year. service was pretty good...we had 'personal' buggy service. we went during offpeak season, so not sure if service level would be the same during peak season. villa wise, its very comfortable for our family. furnishings are old but villa was clean. kitchen was fully equipped. we would have bought more food (meat/veg) if we know the kitchen was equipped with the basic cooking equipments. its also a short walk to the beach, abt 2mins. the only spoiler was the sea water had oil patches on it
Fun and very enjoyable”
Was very happy there, staffs were very friendly. Nice beaches, fun activities for both kids and adults. Clean and big rooms. My kids were very happy there as the swimming pool there is very big. For adults we are enjoying the activities very much! They have a small mini zoo too!
Fantastic place and the Villa is a great experienc”
there is free shuttle bus to hotel from terminal which was very useful. this part of island has no other shops or houses. only resorts. no public conveyance and must rely only on hotels. but this hotel has excellent shuttles bus system and you can roam freely to other resorts and enjoy their restaurants. the buggy from villa to main lobby was always ontime. whenever we called, they reached in 5 to 7min times which was superb
The Beach is polluted by Black Engine Oil”
Disappointed trip. The beach is very dirty. It had polluted by something like black engine oil. No notice was given until we walked around the beach and found our foots got black oil stain which cannot get clean even wash with water. We realized this when we noticed our inner shoes got black stain. The room is clean. Staff are friendly. However, most of the games and facilities need to pay before can use and it is not cheap. You will need to pay for the football and volley ball if you want to borrow from the resort. And the distance are all far from each station. Shuttle bus always full almost causing us late to ferry terminal. It is a bad experience to stay at this resort and We will not coming back here again.
Overall is okay,. But the food is expensive !”
The food is very expensive with very little variety. A plate of dimsum (4 pcs) costs like $11-$12 and the massage isn’t consistent. There are some masseurs that are good and there are some that are bad. However, service is very good. The staffs there are very nice and patient.
Clean, tidy, staffs friendly”
Location wasnt far from ferry terminal.. transfer to resort was easy and smooth. Villa was big and clean with daily cleaning. Environment and swimming pool was clean. Wifi was at a acceptable speed. Food and activities was expensive but well, its the time with family that matters. ^^ will go back nirwanas gardens! Great job!
The property's very nice. It's big enough for our group. We booked two villas and we are satisfied with it. The kitchens were big, complete with pots and pans and fully equipped and all the toilets were well maintained. There was also a service buggy to travel to and from the lobby. All rooms were spacious. The villas were newly renovated. The only downside was there were a few monitor lizards roaming around the property that scared the ladies in our group.
Good for a family getaway. We had enough privacy as well as quick access to facilities. ”
There were a lot of activities for adults as well as kids. But nothing much for my 2 yr old. There is only one playground in the whole resort which was under construction. There is another kids club but all the activities there are chargeable. The staff was quite friendly and helpful.
terrible exchange rates in the resort ”
The villa was ok and we had fun. But when we check-out all payments must be made in Indonesia Rupiah, We exchanged our SGD at the MONEY CHANGER at the lobby, the exchanges rates is really terrible, it's a scam!!! Please change your foreign currency before coming to Bintan, my best advise hope it helps.
Family Birthday Celebration”
The service is good and we had a wonderful weekend retreat in Nirwana Garden Resort. There are alot of activities for us to spend our weekend there and we will definitely visit them another time. The villa is clean and near to hotel resort lobby.
Easy and fun holiday - a short way from Singapore ”
We had our first experience in the villas, part of the Nirwarna Gardens Resort. There was plenty to do and also enough time to laze about as our kids occupied themselves with the activities available. Prices are close to Singapore activities and food variety was limited and expensive within the resort compound. I think that could have been better if we explored eating more outside and locally. Overall, we had a great time at fairly decent prices. Service and staff were polite and accommodating to us. Could have also brought some groceries to cook in the villa's kitchen. We'll come back again :) keep up the good work
Good for a short family vacation ”
Pros - Great for family get together as everyone is housed together. Kitchen is adequate for simple cooking. Great service from staff and loved the pool and beach. Cons - Extremely high prices of food and drinks. Avg S$17 per pax excluding drinks. Best to bring your own drinks and snacks. Or buy at the shops at the ferry terminal.
Expected lots of mosquitoes as the villa is located near a pond, but the area is so clean, there's no mosquitoes at all! Food is a bit expensive, but all is worth is cos everyone is so friendly and polite.
Our family stayed 「Banyu biru villa」Aug 24th,25th. Located very near from Bintan ferry terminal with quickly pick-up bus. The room was quite beautiful, clean. The refrigerator was new, and with high performance. Only the shower booth was narrow and a little hard to use comfortably. It was a few minutes on foot to he beach, we enjoyed clear water and swim with many fishes. It was an excellent experience for our family.
Great place to relax, connect with Sea, Sun, beach”
The hotel staff are very attentive and helpful. I have an instant upgrade to 3 bedroom when they found out it is my birthday. The hotel even delivered a birthday cake in the evening. The room is spacious and clean. They provide buggy ride to our villa and to lobby. It is peaceful and nice. The beach is beautiful. Go to beach club and they provide lots sea sports. We love the body board. There are some big lizard in the garden and it part of nature. They are harmless. Everything is in Singapore dollars, so there is no need to change to rupiah.
Big Villa with equipped Kitchen”
Upon checkin, the front desk staff is nice enough to upgrade all of us to a 3 bedroom villa. Villa is huge with a equipped kitchen. Toilet got quite abit of ants but it didn't bother us much, after all we are close to the nature. Beach is just walking distance away. Food is alright, not fantastic and pretty expensive.
Great Villa, Great Time”
we had a great five-day stay with the family. The kids loved it. Whilst most things went swimmingly we would recommend that the WIFI is upgraded as we could not get a proper signal in the villa and that the food and breakfast buffet is improved. The cost of the food was extortionate for the quality offered - e.e. a banana milk shake for 10 dollars served in a plastic cup and made from paste not bananas does not appear correct. Apart, we had a great stay and all dues to the staff and the hotel that kept a friendly and welcoming atmosphere - and a great pool.
good for a weekend grpup holiday”
Good to stay for a weekend getaway. Nothing much to do in Bintan and its not really cheap comparing prices from Singapore. Beach is not so clean but the pool was a good replacement. A bit difficult to get to, need to keep calling the hotel staff to pick us up to go to the main lobby
