Highly recommendable, the staff were hospitable. The breakfast, its great lot of choices.
Good hotel, delicious and affordable food”
This has been my favorite hotel, i keep coming back here when I’m in Cebu. They implement strict security procedure upon entering and/or leaving the resort, and for a frequent solo traveller like me, this is a big factor. Their restaurant serves delicious food particularly their free breakfast buffet, and my personal ala carte favorite, the grilled ribs with steamed veggies, so tender, juicy and tasty. There is also a savemore supermarket nearby which is like a 3-minute walk from the hotel, so if you’re like “i forgot to bring something, where is the nearest supermarket”, this is your hotel place to be. Overall, i had a good stay, this has become my “go to” hotel everytime I visit Cebu —very relaxing since it’s not crowded, a beachfront where i can just l lie down in one of their sunbeds and take a quick nap, haha!
Relaxing stay, deliciuous buffet breakfast”
It was another relaxing stay for me in this hotel. Breakfast is really good, staff are nice and friendly. The room is spacious and clean, the only downside is the bathroom, shower floor gets a bit floody when in use and it doesnt complety drain down water hence the floor is still wet even after a few hours of not using it, same with the sink, drain system isn’t that good, had to remove the strainer for the water to run down. Those were just some minor issues and it doesn’t affect my impression of this hotel. This has been my 3rd time and Ofcourse will definitely come back again when I visit Cebu.
Relaxing and unique”
The hotel grounds are nice and unique. There is a pair of peacocks and rooster/hen. There are cages with parrots. I loved all the birds and the grounds. The calls from the peacocks made it feel very exotic and like you were on a safari or something. The main pool was a little dirty but it was nice to be able to see the sea view while standing in the pool. The second pool closer to the bird cages was more secluded, cleaner and better overall. I was not expecting Boracay caliber beach so the fact that the beach was not perfectly clean did not bother me. It’s a very relaxing hotel with excellent grounds. The breakfast buffet egg and omelette station was very good. The room itself was large, bathroom was large and shower was tall rain shower with very hot water. The bed pillows were very comfortable. Another plus is it’s very close to the airport. The value for the price us very good.
Great resort for a staycation! ”
Had a great and relaxing stay! My room was clean and very spacious, the beds were comfy, got mini-fridge, complete toiletries, working hot shower and bathtub. They got reliable wifi and I was able to work. Delicious breakfast buffet, clean pool, and great service! The whole place is well maintained. Love the forest-like ambiance and they got peacocks and coy ponds. CON: Smelly bath towels and pool is closed at 9PM. I wish they could extend it to 10PM or 11PM so the guest can enjoy the pool.
Above average quality”
The location of hotel is very good, many eateries and supermarket are within walking distance. The hotel room is spacious, bigger than expected. The swimming pool is decent. The bar at 8th floor had limited drinks and food. The breakfast restaurant served very good pancakes and eggs.
Very UNPROFFESIONAL reception staff”
If you happen to check in at this hotel, DO NOT TALK TO MAE OF THE RECEPTION. Very rude and unproffesional. Her tone and choice of words of telling us how to check in our baggage while waiting for our room to be cleaned up is unacceptable. The beauty of this hotel is just spoiled by this staff. Considering that she is a front desk staff, i expect a lot more than just a disgruntled employee.
Great location. Food was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful.
Best resort I have stayed in by far.. Staff were very friendly and helpful and will go as far as they can to make your stay wonderful. We missed 10 am breakfast one morning and the staff helped us out by putting some food together for us just a small example of how far they will go for customer satisfaction.
Very accommodating Staff”
Staff are very accommodating. It was my husband’s birthday and they provide us with complimentary cake and upgraded our room to a huge family room.Food at Patio Gavino is affordable so if you don’t want to go out, their seafood platter is a must try. Our flight back home is at 6am and we need to leave as early as 4am.They accommodated our request for packed breakfast which kept us full since our flight is an hour and a half delayed. Location is near Savemore and other restaurants. The restaurant at the 8th floor offers a nice view of the city but have few options for group meals, though their single servings of chicken can feed 2 already. Beach area is not good, there’s no area to swim because of the boats. Pool needs to be checked , the are sharp edges on both pool floors. I think the warning on not getting inside the elevator wet should be written in Chinese or Korean language as these folks are getting inside the elevator soaking wet and not minding other guests who are dressed to have dinner at the 8th floor.
White sands resort needs improvement”
The family have been to a lot of resorts and hotels. Staff of white sands resort is very respectable and courteous. But the resort need more facility like airconditioned café or coffee shop, aircon lounges and more hang out spots to unwind and relax.
The grounds are beautiful, and it didn't feel overly crowded (went in April 2019) so we were able to enjoy the pool and beach area. We had lunch on site and the food is fantastic, and reasonably priced. The concierge is incredibly helpful, we coordinate with them via email in advance to book our ferry tickets as we were having issues with the ferry company's website.
awesome service, hotel staff courteous, friendly, helpful”
one thumbs DOWN: scuba diving vendor, asian female staff member, very very rude and disrespectful - she does not belong in the hospitality business she needs a refresher course on “how to treat guest in a respectful way”
Review your staff training!!!”
As above. Please treat your customers with respect ok. Don't dump poorly qualified trainees upon your guests unattended. I am a company customer facing Director. This behaviour is totally unacceptable.
Average stay, ok for 1 night”
The hotel was quite ok, but wouldn't go back there. There is nothing to do there, only sit by the pool. You can't swim in the sea because on the so called private beach is full of boats and the water is quite dirty. The rooftop terrace is quite nice, although the food is not so great. The garden and green area are quite nice and peaceful. We stayed there for 1 night because it's close to the airport. The first room we got was ok in terms of cleanliness. It was in the big building, which seems to be newer. The problem was that in the room next to the bed there was a door leading to a machine room, so we couldn't sleep because of the noise and had to change in the middle of the night. They should put a soundproof door. The 2nd room we got was in the heritage wing, which is a much older building and smelled all mouldy. We found a big, flying cockroach inside and asked for a room change immediately. It was already 1 am. The 3rd room we got was in the same old building, we could hear strange noises in th night and wasn't sure if there was a mouse or something in the room. The smell was also mouldy and all the towels and bed sheets had a strong smell of chlorine. We didn't even get an apology from the staff for having to change the room in the middle of the night for 3 times.
Receptionist should project a very helpful and accommodating approaches to their guests not only for foreign guests but also for Filipinos. There is no special treatment for foreigners. It should be equal.
Nice hotel, great amenities
Lots of water activity selection. We got to do them all--parasail, banana boat, island hpping with fishing. Did boat charter with outside vendors though coz one at resort too expensive. Different places to hang out at resort. Kids enjoyed looking at koi and parrots. Spa massage was very relaxing and massage was not painful.
Total relaxation guaranteed!”
Location PRO : By the beach. CON: Many boats are parked in front of the beach Facilities PRO: huge swimming pool CON: Not so organized hoousekeeping. We are at room 116. Hallway was with a pile of used blankets and bed covers. On the way upstairs, there's a creepy baby crib on a dark corner. Food PRO With a variety of choices CON taste is just ok
Excellent Spa, Good Value for Money”
The resort feels a bit dated; there are different residential 'wings' and we were at the Courtyard wing, close to the Spa. Perhaps the rooms in the taller building are renovated, but ours just felt old. Half the TV channels were not working. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Beach front is not exactly the type to swim and lay in the sand. Redeeming Factors however, come in the form of a beautiful rooftop bar / restaurant, a spa with great packages, décor, and super professional staff (when two of us had the massage in the same room, everything the therapists said and did were completely synchronised). Considering the very affordable rate of the hotel, value for money is excellent.
