"Located on the hotel street of Agra. My room was on 5th floor which is can see Taj Mahal in a distanCe away. The breakfast buffet was so delicious with a lot of choice. Rooftop restaurant ‘s food is not one of the best but it is surely a place to hang out after dark here in Agra. Staff were nice and the room are always clean with amenities. "

Jaypee Palace Hotel & International Convention Centre

"Given that the hotel was prety much fully booked with about 340 guests the attention to detail was still excellent. Management upgraded us from what was an excellent room to a more than ample one. The hotel is within easy reach of all facilities and sights of Agra. The grounds were beautifully presented. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to any businessman or tourist, Even themost fastidious will have little to complain about other than the paucity of good wines at a reasonable price. The cellar was pretty bare. I can't wait to try the JP Gold resort."

"A stunning hotel to arrive to in India. The lobby entrance is so grand and gives an amazing vibe for your stay in Agra. We arrived at 4am in the morning. It’s such a shame that staff were incredible and painfully slow to check in, get our luggage to our room and an extra bed. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in India. Umar was so attentive to checking on us. We had dinner in the restaurant. It’s beautiful Indian food. Would have been lovely if they suggested the family naan for our party of 9. It would have made our dinner. The grounds are phenomenal. A shame the pool is a bit dated. Great if you are in a suite room as you have another pool to swim in. We organised some crossiants for our early Taj Mahal tour and it was there waiting for us at 530am. Would stay at ITC hotels again "

More about Agra

Famous the world over as the home of the Taj Mahal, this dusty city in the north of India is a must for every visitor. All hotels in Agra offer easy access to the Taj Mahal, which is rightfully at the top of most visitors' itineraries. Aside from the Taj, Agra also has Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Once in the city, there is a wide choice of Agra hotels ranging from backpacker-styled guest houses to opulent resorts offering an international standard of luxury.

Booking a Taj Mahal tour with a reputable agency in Agra is highly recommended. Once inside the Taj, it's important to have a knowledgeable guide to point out the finer aspects of this magnificent building. Commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his wife, the Taj Mahal is an awe-inspiring example of Mughal architecture. Many days can be spent soaking up the atmosphere of the Taj Mahal, and an Agra hotel nearby would be sensible for those wanting to make multiple visits.

The Agra Fort should not be missed, either. Built entirely from red sandstone, this well-preserved fortress is considered far superior to the Red Fort in Delhi. If choosing an Agra hotel overlooking the fort, visitors will be rewarded with spectacular sunsets.
