Best hotels & accommodations in Akita

It was my first time travelling solo to Akita and Richmond Hotel Akita Ekimae truly made a good first impression and my stay there enjoyable. The facilities were great; they provided almost everything you need (e.g. toothbrushes, cotton buds, etc.) and were prompt with the replenishing of essentials like towels. Location wise, it's really just a 4 minute walk from th...

Nice big room. Akita is not very big. The hotel is a bit of distance from Akita JR station. You want try to walk it but there are a few buses that goes to across the street from the hotel. Just 3 stops. City is walkable so this hotel is quite Central. Great staff. Big clean rooms. Breakfast was good too

When we arrival in Akita Railway Station very near, just past through the mall and connecting to Lobby Hotel. We were to Seitai Hoshikai (Our Lady of Akita) by taxi in front of the lobby and the old man driver waiting for us until we finished our pray. Metropolitan Hotel Akita was good location, room facilities was good, and very kind staff, when I left some property...

We stayed here for 1 night only. Room is not that big but very clean. Staff has excellent service. Location is okay, we can park our car just in front of the hotel. However, if they lower a bit for the parking price, it will be perfect. Overall, worth the money to stay here for 1 to 2 nights if people are visiting Akita area.

It was literally in Akita Station. However, since it's in the 2nd floor and no signage outside, it took me sometime to find it. The staff are friendly but do not speak English so not as helpful. My only complain is that the late check-in at 4pm and early check-out at 10am, just allows you to sleep in this hotel. Overall, it was good because of it's location and price.

The staff was not very well trained since they seem to be fairly new but they were all very nice and very helpful and were eventually able to get everything done to more than a satisfactory level. The food was good and fresh. The room service was very quick and excellent. There were only three baths; One hot, one warm and one cold. There was also a sauna. This ...

I think the hotel is the greatest in Akita based on the price, location, and services. Staffs are very nice and help, especially the lady who helps me check-in (regret not to pay attention to her name.) The hotel is spacious, new, and clean. It is located at the city centre with lake view, shops and restaurants are arounded. On the night of my stay, there was firew...

The Akita View Hotel is kind of a noble facility. It holds a lot of weddings and for that has a very nice interieur. The staff is very nice. As for the room, it was very clean and big (for a Japanese hotel room). There are a lot of facilities like a gym, a few restaurants, a spa... Also the hotel is just a few minutes away from the main station and within a 10-minutes ...

it already felt like I stayed in a ryokan while I stayed here. It has a sento (public bath) and the room's quite traditional with the sliding door and cabinets and tatami floor. And it was cheap! It's just a little bit far from the station on foot. But it was still nice. <3

about a 15 - 20 min walk from akita station brings you to the hotel which is a little back from the main road -- make sure you take your shoes off when entering the hotel ! the hot spa is great but dont feel timid about taking everything off infront of stangers --- when in japan do as the japanese do !over all the hotel is fairly priced , quiet , clean and friendly - ...

just stayed for two nights while i explored the akita area. hotel is located in close proximity to some of the main sights as well as akita's nightlife street. pretty standard japanese business hotel room. i stayed in a smoking room and it did, lo and behold, smell like smoke, so i'm not sure if the non-smoking rooms smell or not. i would recommend this hotel for a wee...

Short 5min walking distance from Akita Station, located next to Shenshu-koen and Akita City Museum. The Citizen’s Market is close by as well. Our Double Room is on the top floor as per our request. Room is clean and comfortably sized (as compared to other Japanese hotels). The only complain is the incredibly thin pillows, even though we asked for extra pillows, two sta...

Luckily I read Japanese so I was able to figure out where to park, but the parking lot was extremely difficult to find. The staff was also rude on check-in. The room was one of the smallest, dirtiest places I have ever stayed in Japan. Bad lighting, and the window opened all the way (on the top floor of a hotel I am pretty sure that is illegal.) It may seem cheap but...

If you intend to check out very early (5 a.m.), you will need to walk 20 mins to the Akita Station because there is limited transportation until just before 6 a.m. The limousine bus from Akita Station to the airport leaves at 6:05 a.m. and must be taken if your flight is the early flight out (7:30 a.m.). Otherwise, just schedule a later flight and relax.
