Hotel Wing International Asahikawa Ekimae
Asahikawa,Asahikawa - View on map
"This was our 2nd time staying here. Enjoyed our stay in this new hotel that is well located opposite the JR station and Aeon mall. Lots of eateries around. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Front office staff, especially Hazumi, was very friendly and served with a smile. She kept apologising when I informed her that the aircon was not cold and the thermostat could not be adjusted. She suggested and brought me an ice pack to keep me cool for the night. We would still stay again if we are in Asahikawa and hopefully the thermostat is fixed by then. "

Premier Hotel -CABIN- Asahikawa
Asahikawa,Asahikawa - View on map
"We stayed at Premier hotel cabin Asahikawa for 2 nights from 29th Oct to 31st Oct. The hotel situates in a very convenient location, only few minutes walk from Asahikawa JR train station. There was also Aeon mall right next to the train station, which has many restaurant and also food court. The hotel room was clean and cozy and comes with all amenities needed. They also provide pyjamas as well. The bed was comfortable for two adults (we booked a king-single bed, which was a bit smaller than a double bed but still big enough). Staffs were also very nice and checkin-checkout was smooth and fast. The onsen was superb and an exceptional experience. Wifi was pretty fast during evening time but during the night time the speed dropped pretty badly as more people maybe using it. Overall, we were very happy with the hotel and for the price we paid for, it was very worth it. If we have a chance to come back to Asahikawa, we will be back at the hotel again for sure. "

Y's Hotel Asahikawa
Asahikawa,Asahikawa - View on map
"The hotel is new and as such quite clean. The location is excellent right next to Asahikawa station and Aeon mall. The staff was great and even spoke English. The wifi however was the worst I've seen in any hotel, and I've been to almost every hotel in Asahikawa since I need to go for 3 days every 2 months. I was having trouble watching a YouTube video even in 144p... If the wifi isn't an issue for you then I recommend this hotel, if it is however then I simply can't which is a shame because everything else was good."

More about Asahikawa

Asahikawa is a popular tourist destination among Japanese tourists for the attractions of the city and its location being a great base for further exploration. There are few foreign visitors here, with most of them hitting the more well-known cities of Japan. However, it still caters to all with plenty to see and do. Domestic flights are serviced at Asahikawa Airport from Tokyo, Narita, Osaka, and Nagoya.

The city’s most notable attraction is the Asahiyama Zoo. It is Japan’s most famous, popular for its well-designed polar bear, penguin, and seal enclosures. The month of February is an attractive time as the second most popular snow festival, the Asahikawa Winter Festival, is held during this time. With this being Japan’s coldest city, there is no better place to celebrate the season. There are several skiing options available for the adventurous, including Biei and Furano. Summers certainly become more comfortable, and this is the time to take advantage of cycling paths that are several kilometers long. Whether in love or not, Romantic Road is a beautiful place to visit in the spring. During this time, the trees lining the road create a tunnel of green, and the two nearby wedding chapels help give its name. Asahibashi Bridge, Asahikawa City Museum, and the Arashiyama Pottery Village are but a few more worthy visits when in the city.
