It is an old hotel. But well maintained. Room was clean and very spacious. Location is at the central of auckland city. Close to everywhere. Staff were nice. And pricewise is quite cheap for hotel in auckland city

Rendevous Hotel in Auckland was really nice. The hotel itself is really comfortable with its own bar and restaurant and the rooms are really clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful. The bed itself is really comfy. Value for money was brilliant. Was sorry that we had only one night to stay there but will stay again when we are back in Auckland. Views from the hotel of the Skycity are also lovely especially at night time

Stayed one night after a late night arrival into Auckland Hotel was new and conveniently located (about 10 minutes) from airport The bus service from the airport comes with a 15 minutes wait and you can pay with credit card for the bus ticket Thumbs up for the complimentary room upgrade a I've booked one night but arrived in the wee hours

i have no complaints or negative things to say about auckland city oaks - it was a really good stay. i have stayed in several places like this in auckland but oaks is the best so far. other places offer free internet but the service is so poor and slow it's hardly worth having (such as the quadrant). indeed auckland city oaks was very good in all their provisions. i liked the breakfast - delivered each evening - although the juice was more sugar than fruit. more shelves and hooks in the bathroom would be a great idea - especially for 2 people sharing. our bedroom windows didn't close too fully and so it was a bit noisy from the road - but this is very common in auckland hotels and serviced apartments. double glazing doesn't seem to have reached nz yet. all the staff i encountered were really helpful and pleasant. a major problem for people travelling by public transport is location - the airport bus goes no where near hobson street and it cost $10 by taxi for the very short trip from the ferry building. i should have checked out the shuttle service.

Fantastic Hotel! Quick and easy check-in/ check out. Very clean. Great location! Excellent friendly staff. Couldnt really fault anything from my experience except the car park. Car park was a bit pricey however it seems to be a standard price with hotels in Auckland with the exception of this car park being quite spacious compared to others. Overall excellent experience and look forward to making it my regular hotel if ever in Auckland.

This hotel was perfectly adequate for our 2 day post cruise stay. This hotel is defiantly in the budget category and basically its one of those " what you pay for is what you get " deals similar to Ibis and Formulae 1 chains. However that being said the staff were helpful and welcoming and the rooms were clean but basic and the food was basic but was good value for the price paid. The lift was a VERY antiquated type*Think of the movie Thoroughly Modern Millie* (My partner was worried we would be stuck as it was very shuddery and bumpy when we stayed.) So if your looking for a good clean SHORT STAY BUDGET hotel in Auckland this will serve your needs however if your after a vacation hotel i would chose another more upmarket hotel in Auckland for your stay

This hotel is centrally located. Absolutely No complaint. Clean, good facilities, free wi-fi available in room. Good restaurants are available withing walking distance. Terminus of SkyBus, the most convenient airport transfer is located just near this hotel. Hotel staff are well behaved. I shall prefer to stay in this hotel if I go again to Auckland. I highly recommend this hotel in Auckland.

Everyone was SO helpful. The staff was always able to answer our questions. They had taxis ready when we needed them, they made sure the shuttle was on time and where to eat, what to see. Nothing was too much trouble. We came in from a cruise and stored our luggage before flying out to Cairns for 4 days. Our flight back into Auckland didn't get in until midnight. There was staff there to check us in. Also we were able to store our luggage again overnight before we left to come back to the US. This took a lot of the worry away and let us focus on New Zealand.

Recommend it because the ease parking and space compared to many hotels in Auckland. We will use again if on the special.

The location is a bit difficult to find (for me at least). Because I arrived in Auckland at the Pier and the Google Map said it's just 700m away (a bit too near to cab), but it wasn't easy to locate because the building is narrow and is located on a slight upslope. If one takes a taxi, it might be a lot easier and will arrive right at the doorstep. The hotel has no free wi-fi (like many hotels in Auckland). BUT, unlike other hotels in Auckland, the charges for Internet is relatively reasonable. I was happy to pay the amount for 24 hours of internet access. Do note however, even if you pay for your internet access, you're only able to use the connection within the wireless router coverage in the room. When I got to the lobby, I asked the front desk, how do I access the Internet I paid for, she said it is not possible. I would have to go back to my room. Funny system. The location is at least 10 minutes walk to Queen Street. So be prepared to walk a little bit. I think overall, the Celestion Waldorf is an exceptional value for money. It's clean, chic and really uplifting interior was the best accommodation experience I had while holidaying in Auckland at that price. Would recommend others to stay here again.

We stayed at the Metro Suites Apartment Hotel on the 15th Floor. We had previously stayed with Luxy NZ Apartments which shares the same building as Metro Suites and found both companies to be very similar. The Check-in process was quick and easy. The reception (located on level 2) allowed us to check-in ahead of our check-time as the room was available. Free wifi was included with our stay. The one bedroom apartment we stayed in was sufficient for our needs. Laundry and kitchen facilities are provided within the room, which we found to useful, in particular the laundry. The location was fantastic within Auckland CBD, which allowed us to walk to many locations within the CBD. Highly recommend this hotel for travellers to Auckland.

We enjoyed our stay and thought it great value for the money. However, the heaters in the rooms had broken dials so unfortunately no heat for the Auckland chilly nights. There is an additional fee to use the parking facilities of the hotel which i wasn't aware of at the time of booking. Being an overseas visitor, finding a spot to park a rental vehicle overnight while waiting on a parking permit to be returned by another guest in Auckland can be a bit tricky and expensive, so book your car park when you book a room if you have a car. Beds were very comfortable and the place clean and tidy. Local knowledge of the area by the concierge was good on our arrival. Can be a bit noisy at night being close to the university with students going out on weekends, but overall we had no problem sleeping.

very affordable price per night for the quality. also very close to skycity tower for people who like to gamble, enjoy good food. lcd television and clean bathroom. some four star hotels in auckland had a tube tv ( very old) and no walls for shower area, shower just hanging next to toilet.

We rate the Hilton as the best Hotel in Auckland, we had our wedding at the Hilton Auckland on the 25th October 2014. Our wedding planner Vira Manley, her team were very professional and the service and food were amazing. I recommend all new brides to be, to seriously consider the Hilton for your special day. They went above and beyond to make our day a truly amazing day to remember from start to finish. Thank you Vira.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while we were in Auckland. Being so close to the motorway we found we could come and go to our main destination in Green Lane easily and quickly. The apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped and a great place to return to each day to have something to eat, relax and have a good sleep. Turns out one of us, years before, helped build the St Martins building, so for him it was a bit of a homecoming. Thank you to all. We would happily return.

Location is amazing, skybus (airport bus, city route, stop #7018, basically is the last stop), the bus stop is just outside the hotel (with in 10 seconds walk); HOTEL is in the city area (says about 8 mins walk (I think) to AUCKLAND sky tower, very close to), the opposite side is already the shopping area (HOTEL is about the end of the main street, also next to a huge H&M store.); Staff is great, very helpful & professional; restaurant & coffee shop very close too, I would definitely wanna try the hotel breakfast, but I was leaving the next day early morning, I will back the same hotel if I visit AUCKLAND in future, very nice. 5 stars.

The IBIS at Auckland Airport is a great example of budget accommodation in the city and apart from its price is now a convenient location in Auckland as a direct result of the Waterview tunnel allowing rapid access to the CBD as well as the option of Manukau nearly next door or rapid access to the Northern or Western Motorways. Great Staff, excellent service and well located with good restaurants within easy reach, a Supermarket and a Warehouse next door. The bar downstairs next door is excellent and recommended. Its proximity to the Airport is excellent although the inability of Auckland Airport to cater to walking passengers trying to exit the terminal area limits a direct link to the premises. ( Access is best via a walk through the carpark opposite the last taxt rank and up the road).

I traveled with 2 friends and we stayed at the triple room. QSB is located very strategically in the town (off Queen Street) which is the reason I booked. Easy access to public transportation, supermarket, shops, walking distance to the Auckland harbor and Auckland tower. kitchen facilities is also good. Welcoming staffs. Check in and check out in a breeze. We got the room facing Fort St. It can be a bit noisy at night with bars and clubs below but we have no problem with that. If you want quieter room, you might ask. Parking is also a bit expensive around the area, you might want to ask the reception on cheaper parking area. We were told to park at Bringham St. (20mins walk away), which we did and happy as we managed to find a free park there while having a good time walking pass Auckland harbor, Silo park and waterfront on the way back/from QSB.

We were on a flight beginning in Bangkok then transiting at Melbourne to Auckland. It arrived approximately at midnight. I wanted to make sure that we would get some sleep before we moved on to the Central Business District of Auckland. They did provide free shuttle bus service 24 hours a day, and it was only 3 Km from the airport. Had to find breakfast since they had none, and that was our first impressions of New Zealand, a very expensive breakfast buffet at the Holiday Inn. Our overall stay at the Best Western BK Hotel was adequate and met its purpose.

On arrival, driving up in our hire the friendly greeting from the concierge was appreciated. He offered options for parking and recommended the valet parking as best value for money and indeed it was at NZD 25.00 per 24 hours - a great start! Check-in was friendly and seemless with our bags arriving less than 5 minutes after we got to our room. The location of the hotel being just 150m from the very pretty Albert Park and a short - 10 minute (downhill) stroll to transport central 'Britomart' and Auckland Ferry Terminal. The only disappointment was the restaurant - the two children's highchairs both had no restraint straps makng it impossible to restrain our wriggly and restless 15 month old daughter. We left the restaurant having ordered our dinner in search of external options. An easy fix for management to attend to! Overall we were very happy with all other aspects of our stay. Great hotel if you are heading to Auckland!

Was travelling by car with my wife and 2 daughters. Positives: they offer a smartly designed "social tribe" configuration that creates a private suite between two rooms - offering 1 king bed + 2 double beds. This gave my wife and I privacy and the kids their own space (something we need at the end of a full day). The ID was very modern chic. Hotel offers $45 valet for the full day (unlimited in/out) which is fair given public parking is crazy expensive in Auckland downtown. Negatives: none!!

Would like to express our appreciation during our stay @ the Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour Hotel from March 22 -27, 2014. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The waiter in the restaurant was very honest ( one night when were dining at the Sofitel restaurant a $5 bill accidentally fell out my pocket which I didn’t notice) we finish our meal and went back to the hotel room. About ten minutes later the waiter came to our room and said when he was cleaning the table he found $5 dollars and was returning it (I mentioned to the waiter that that was being real honest and told him to keep it, he mentioned that he could not take it, I insisted that being so honest consider an additional tip for the restaurant. Also the cleaning staff kept the room very clean (on a couple occasions I left money on the bed for the cleaning staff for a job well done) on both occasions the cleaning staff left the money in room on the night stand. (I appreciated the excellent clean service we receive and wanted to reward/thank the cleaning staff). All staff treated us in a friendly and respectful manner and were very helpful in supplying information, maps/directions, etc. Definitely would stay at the Sofitel Auckland on our next visit to Auckland and will recommend this first class establishment to family, friends, and acquaintances to stay at. The honestly and friendly staff really impressed me (will always remember). Please pass our thanks on to the Sofitel Hotel staff. Very much appreciated Excellent Hotel (Hats off to all the staff)made us feel at home like family.

Great Auckland hotel with superb views of the harbor from the upper floors (lower rooms may lack view). The 32nd floor two bedroom suite is well-appointed with every amenity and includes a kitchenette with large refrigerator and freezer. There is also a dishwasher and a washing machine. The staff is friendly and helpful and best of all, free 1GB of wifi per day, which is these days is a rare beast in Auckland hotels. The one negative comment that I can make is the location, which is directly across the street from Auckland’s “Red light district”, such as it is. Opposite the Auckland Harbour Oaks is the Penthouse Club and there are a few other strip clubs, massage parlors and the like. Otherwise, the location is fantastic, walking distance to the waterfront area and harbor as well as to Queen St. and central vicinity. Highly recommended.

We booked a 2 bedroom super suite at Swiss Belsuites Victoria Park for a wedding in Auckland. The apartments were great. They were spacious and very well maintained. The view from our room was great too. Only issue we had was parking. Yes there was street parking but you had to get up 8am to go pay for parking. Either than that very nice place. Will certainly book there again when i go back to NZ

Second time staying in the M Gallery by Sofitel where in also had few nights' stay in Milan months ago. Recently renovated in a formerly tea house, the boutique hotel has a unique taste and class while sitting on the vivid Queen Street. Welcomed by their specially brewed tea and sincere conversation, I was kindly upgraded for the first night's stay and my other requests had been taken which is to move to a slightly higher floor. Knowing the history of the place with nice decor (and the jewel collection photos )and seeing the teapot set in the rooms, one would easily be travelling back into time and get nostalgic especially as you step into the elevator. Comfortable bed and decently spaced bathroom that would not disappoint. Their restaurant on the first level next to reception is definitely worth trying. Memorable stay at Auckland which is our first encounter in New Zealand. Thank you (the Sofitel team)for all your effort in keeping our stay special! gym and sauna available

A brand new Hotel with all you expect from a brand new Hotel. Rooms sizeable, well designed and appointed bathrooms, nice King Size bed, and plenty of storage. The resteraunt had good food, which I enjoyed, but at Hotel prices. However there are eating options within the airport terminal, barely 5 minutes away. The Hotel is isolated from any other facilities so is only really suitable for those in transit. But the end of the day the best feature of this Hotel is its proximity to the Auckland International Airport.

I have stayed at a few backpackers in Auckland but Surf n snow is by far the best! The people there are awesome and the staff are great.

my wife and i have stayed in many hotels, motels around nz, australia and the pacific and we have found this to be the best for price and location. the high rise building gave you that feeling of space, you were not cramped up in a small area. we have made this our hotel whenever we are in auckland. close by are the motorways to auckland city, airport and west auckland.

This hotel is located in a great position for travel from Auckland Airport. There is nothing but milk in the fridge but there is a little shopping center within walking distance which seemed to have all wants covered. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are clean. The restaurant is a bit basic but it is also very reasonably priced. All up this is good value for money when you need a place to crash near to the airport or if you are doing the south of Auckland attractions with kids.

It is my last stop of my biz trip. I have stayed at 3 other hotels during my week of business over ANZ. This is the best experience among the rests, and the price is reasonably priced. The subtle differences I notice are (1) complimentary water x 2 bottles (2) comfort slipper to use in the room (3) modern & clean (4) the food is delicious (5) buffet breakfast is good (6) nice & big bed (7) complimentary toiletries (8) swimming pool & gym (9) good service etc.. I had a morning call but did not answer as I was already awoke in the toilet washing up. The hotel send somebody to knock at my door to ensure that I was awake. This is fantastic! Though it is my last nite of stay, but I have deep & very good impression of the hotel. I will definitely stay at Sudima for my next trip to Auckland.
