Beijing hotels & places to stay

Staff were very helpful in setting up the use of my own laptop instead of using the more expensive computer provided by the hotel. I was a little undecided about the question of being 58 hotel or not. Most things are excellent, but location is not as good as The Beijing Hotel, Raffles and Grand Hotel etc. on Chang'an Avenue at the other end of Wangfujing Street. Breakfast seems a little expensive for 90 yuan (rmb), but I guess that is in keeping with a 5* hotel, and the kind of guest they would expect. However the price that I got booked in for was very good value for money.

Superb 5-star standard, alot of staff on the ground and always looking out to see what you need. They are also innovative to help use a taxi booking app for your needs instead of letting you stand at the lobby for the elusive passing by taxis like most hotels do. Room is large, bed very comfortable and housekeeper always available; just flick your switch and they will make up your room even if its the third time. Business centre was closed when we are there, but they allowed me to visit the executive floor to use their printer for a small fee (CNY 21 to copy 4 sheets). Its my favourite hotel in Beijing, won't go anywhere else.

The hotel is right at Wangfujing Street and is only a couple minutes walk to the pedestrian-only section. A great location for food and shopping. Subway station is within walking distance, but I would advise taking a taxi to get there if you have luggage since it is several minutes of walk from the subway station. The hotel enforces the non-smoking rule pretty well. There was no cigarette smell in the lobby, corridor, and room. It is unusual in China. (Many five-star hotels in China don't enforce the non-smoking rule, even in non-smoking rooms.) If you can't stand cigarette smell, stay in this hotel. The room is kind of small and old but functional. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, not much to choose from. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I will stay there again.

I got room 404 so it faced the street which was good. It was Bamboo Comfort Room so a step up from the standard room. A good place to rest up if you have spent time out in rural China which I did. This place is excellent as it is near subway to airport and near to Lama Temple area. It is also next to large shopping center Raffles that has a supermarket that sells western goods just in case you need it. Also a pharmacy was near by just in case you get a little Beijing flu which I got. Staff were nice and helpful, room was cleaned everyday. Air conditioner worked and was very quiet, bed hard (its China folks) but pillows soft so had a good sleep. For China this is a 5 star place, you don't need a swimming pool as it has a very large bath to soak the Beijing way each day. I'll stay here again with my family as it is an easy intro to Beijing and still next to the all the street life.

the hotel is really nice. it is new, and well kept. the breakfast is great, can not be much better. the vip floor does worth the extra money you pay for it. mini bar in the room is very very expensive, like most hotels in beijing, and way more expensive, then most countries in the world. location is great, can not be much better then that. it is right near the olympic stadium, and if you are here for convention or a sport event, that would be the place to stay. not too far from the center of the city, around 10 minutes taxi drive.

Stayed for one night as resting point after arriving to Beijing. Hotel is modern. Room was big and heating was fine. Price for the stay was definitely worth it for a resting point, I would not stay there to stay. Check-in/Check-out was straight forward. The location was walking distance to places to eat, but definitely not catered for tourism in central Beijing and better suited for layovers and stopovers. It was very directly below the airport routes so airplane landing/departing sounds is definitely there late into the night. They did offer earplugs beside the bed but I didn't use them.

All the employees at the front desk speak English and know their jobs well. They are also generally helpful. My only beef is that they rarely smile and all look so busy and stressed with work which is in contrast to employees of other hotels in other Asian countries and even in other parts of China. I’ve travelled to a lot of other Chinese cities and the general aura of the people there seem more relaxed compared to the working class of Beijing. The hotel has a nice architecture but the carpets and may need replacement. It’s undamaged and clean but doesn’t look new. The rooms are well equipped but a not spacious. Of course, it may be at par with the price range for Beijing hotels. This hotel is located at the very center of most activities so one will only need a short walk to be able to visit the Imperial Palace, Tiananmen Square, that Nest like structure , shopping malls, good restaurants and the huge, cheap and clean flea markets. This is just a bit short of being the perfect hotel for a tourist. As for being a business traveler, this hotel doesn’t give wifi access in rooms and I remember having to go to the ground floor business center and use an old windows PC to be able to use the internet. A business traveler needs frequent internet access and this hotel didn’t have it. I hope they start providing free wifi access in every room.

The Jianguo Qianmen Hotel is a great place to stay in Beijing. Try to get a room rate price that includes breakfast, which could well be the best value meal of the day. Rather than eat at the over-priced restaurant, try the small street corner restaurant that is some 5oo metres from the hotel on the same side of the road - turn left as you exit the foyer. Spend the money to see the Peking Opera. The singing might be unusual, but it is a part of Chinese history, and the acrobatics that are included are spectacular. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and the decor of the hotel is well worth a photo. A great place to stay in Beijing.

Impressive service, all staff feels you like caring only you. This hotel is just in the down town area, front of the hotel there is subway station which can take you every where even to connect you airport shuffle train. Swiss hotel is just 5 min walking distance from CBD area and take you easily main touristic attraction places. You will feel very safe and fast service. Nothing was uncomplicated, also had reasonable price comparing with other 5 stars hotels. Restaurant and lounges were inside had delicious food and best buffet service except little expensive but you would worth to feel real service and great atmosphere. We will definitely stay again in the Swiss Hotel in beijing, and others around the world as well.

It's smart to stay close to the airport if you need to catch early flights. We arrived in Beijing very late that night because the flight was delayed, and we need to take another one in the other morning to US. Thanks for the location of Hilton Beijing Capital Airport Hotel, saving us lots of time and avoiding traffic. The best thing about this hotel is the location, especially when your airline takes off from Terminal 3. One thing I do not like is their wifi service costs about $20 per day, that's crazy! There are two other 5-star hotels around Beijing capital airport, you better look into them as well if you would stay close to the airport and use Internet.

Stayed with Hilton Wangfujing for 2 nights and found that this hotel is one of the best I have stayed in... The price is considered at the higher end, but there is no regret for it... Location is great, just beside Wangfujing Walking Street and also shopping malls around it. Definitely not an issue to shop and dine if you stay in this hotel. Within walking distance (approx. 15 mins) to Forbidden City. Room is nicely decorated, lighted and gave me a warm feeling like back home. Hilton staffs is also great, always smile and around to help the guests. Lobby is a bit dark or dim, should light up more. Overall experience is great & nice, one of the best hotel in Beijing city. Thumbs up and highlightly recommended.

The location is excellent, is only 5 minutes walk to the MRT, surrounded by many great eating places within minutes walk, such as famous Beijing Roast Duck, "Quanjude", Stream boat restaurant, "Hai Di Lao", "Dong Lai Shun" etc. and many other small shops. If you want to eat western food, there is a 24 hours Mcdonald outlet just opposite the hotel, and a Pizza outlet. Best of all, the Hotel café offers Buffet dinner at around Sin $40 per pax, but this price is applicable for hotel guest, if you walk in the price will be aound Sin $65 per pax, the spread is supper good, which includes fresh abalone, oyster, scallop, big prawn, individual hot pot will be provided, with various kind of soup base for you to choose, when you pick up the hotpot ingredients, chief cooking Teppanyaki food on the spot, supper yummy Beijing Roast Duck, also comes with a Indian food session, cooked food side includes chilly crabs too. Free flow of bottle fruits juice, beer, various kind of cakes and jelly, ice-cream choices are good too. Hot beverages includes coffee and tea, they provided all kinds of coffee, such as Espreso, cappuccino etc. It is really value for the money. Strongly recommend to try their Buffet.

It was really great experience to stay at the Conrad Beijing. Especially, I very much like the interior design of the room and also of the Breakfast restaurant. The location of the hotel was excellent as it situated closely to Sanritun area where you can easily find nice bars or restaurants.

We booked a superior room, and it was a great surprise! Room was excellently clean and spacious enough for us both, and amenities are complete! Hotel management really give excellent service with great attention to details. There was just no central heater but hotel readily provides extra blankets if requested, clearly it was not an issue for us. The different kinds of pillows are also very nice. Front desk allowed us to check in to our room early, around 12 noon, it was so nice of them to do that. It allowed us to enjoy their lunch buffet at Bloo with in-house guests' price, which has a very very delicious buffet spread. The lunch started off our excellent experience at Beijing. Hotel is near the Dengshiku station which makes it very accessible, it's also a 5-8 minutes walk to the Wangfujing pedestrian street where you can see a cultural mix of old and new Beijing. At the front of the hotel is a Starbucks outlet. Hotel lobby staff are very friendly and readily assists guests.

This is my third time staying at the Ming Courtyard. They are my go-to hotel in Beijing. I always meet great people, and have a great time. The location is super convenient, between Dongzhimen Station (bus and line 2) and Beixinqiao (line 5), with lots of good food. The hutong had been paved, so now it feels a lot cleaner, and a lot of new businesses are working their way in, too. Plenty of good food and services nearby!

I've always wanted to stay at the Summit Wing of the China World, and when I found a particularly good rate here on Agoda it was a clear signal. Hotel was wonderful, gym, pool and fitness centre were amazing. However, given that the hotel starts on the 64th floor (although there is a check in desk on the 1st) there isn't the usual easy to access hotel coffee shop / other restaurants on a single lobby level - although the hotel does have restaurants they're a little harder to access and it seemed easier to find a restaurant in the attached mall or cross over to the Trader's Hotel or Kerry Centre. Only complaint was that the check in staff wanted a deposit of 4,000 RMB on my credit card for a 4 night stay (remember my room was already paid for) which was more than the cost of my room and WAY more than I'd ever spend on F&B in the hotel - the reason I have a problem with this is that I travel a lot and these security deposits usually take a fortnight to be credited back, so over a month I end up with several thousand RMB stuck in this phase. One of the BEST things about the hotel was the in-room Nespresso machine - really nice touch for me since I'm an espresso lover and always end up having to take the elevator down 65 floors to go find a coffee shop...

The location is quite good (although still a bit of a walk from the metro and not that easy to find if you're quite new to China. The room was quite good and also included a towel and some other toiletries, that's great. The building in itself is a nice, historical building of typical Beijing architecture. The toilet and shower room could have benefited from being renovated, as it was not the best part of the hotel. Because the room was quite good for the price (at least for Beijing) and the overall value for money, I'm happy to overlook this, but is a consideration for those who are a bit particular.. I also stayed in another hotel which didn't have such good rooms but had a better bathroom. Overall, I'm not very fussy and was quite happy with the room and my experience there in general. The area is also historic and nice to visit for tourists.

My favourite hotel in Beijing in recent years. Room is spacious and cozy. Location is quite central. However, it is not so convenient as it is close to many places but not close enough for walking, and it is not far enough that one will feel comfortable to take taxi to all the time. Bike is ideal. Country kitchen is great.

This hotel is the best designed hotel I’ve been to. Not only aesthetically but also ergonomically. Their packaging for bathroom amenities was a very pleasant surprise. We loved the quirkiness they inject into their designing. The breakfast is also something to look forward to. ( Opt for the east menu) The staffs were very responsive and friendly. Yes, pricing is on the higher end and location might not be the most centralized but I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Trendy, modern CBD hotel just recently opened. I was a little nervous because there were so few reviews so far but I need not have worried. Reception staff were professional and courteous and check in smooth. My room was awesome. Lots of little touches made it special. Fantastic comfy bed, flat screen TV, fruit bowl, amazing view over the CBD. Bathroom was lovely and I appreciated the little rubber ducks for the bath :-) As a gym junkie, one big reason to book here was the facilities. The gym was the best hotel gym I have ever seen. It's a working gym open for membership, so has everything you would expect from a big brand name- spin studio, boxing area, masses of top notch equipment. My only complaint is that I could only book for one night as it was full, thus could not make full use of all the facilities or the pool :-( I know exactly where I will be staying on my next trip to Beijing.

Great 5 star hotel in Chaoyang. It's about a 7 minute walk to the subway line. Plenty of restaurants and food within walking distance. The swimming pool and gym are very nice. The rooms are nicely appointed. My only complaint is that the AC doesn't work in the winter. I've noticed this throughout other Beijing hotels.

I was looking for a hotel in Beijing that is close to the airport and city center. Hilton Beijing Hotel fits these criteria. The hotel offers international standard, the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel gym is very functional with a good choice of working out equipments. I will return to Hilton Beijing Hotel for my next trip.
