Best hotels & accommodations in Bodh Gaya

The hotel is at a convenient location near to Maha Bodh Temple and Japanese temple. We liked the cleanliness and location. Their restaurant has a lot of scope to improvement. But the the hotel staffs including Manager are very very helpful. We enjoyed our stay there ... specially the the walk around the main temple (Maha Both Temple)

Great location, walking distance to the maha bodhi temple, friendly staff and good environment to stay. It is an older hotel but has hot water and has very large rooms. It has 24 hr restaurant, laundry service and staff is very responsive to any requests. Internet maybe slow and will disconnect but it is ture for most hotels in gaya. Stayed 3 nights at the hotel Jan 20...

Oaks Bodh Gaya was an Excellent hotel. We were a group of 6 adults and stayed for 3 nights. The staff were very caring and courteous. Rooms very spacious with large bathrooms and overall high standards of cleanliness . The breakfast spread was delicious. We ended up eating dinner at the restaurant all 3 nights and the food was fantastic. We made a special request to ta...

The hotel was quiet and clean. We were upgraded to a spacious and clean room, although the bathroom was not kept clean. The hotel was in a fine location; walking distance to some sights and a short tuk tuk ride from the others. Breakfast was included. However, while the staff were friendly, they were extremely unhelpful. They were not able to communicate with us clearl...

Compared to other hotels in Bodh Gaya, this hotel is less than the average. Although its wifi is relatively stable and the hot water is pretty stable, the cleanness is terrible. During my stay, there were mice coming in and out of my room. Also, the sound insulation is so bad that you can hear other guests snoring all night. Unless you cannot find other accommodation, ...

Mahabodhi Hotel is a beautiful hotel with all necessary facilities. Its not a Resort from any angle. Very Clean hotel & staff is very cordial. Food was very tasty & had good quantity too. Though there was not much variety in Veg food. There is lack of parking area if some wedding/function is booked there. We had to park our car outside the hotel due to some wedding.

Great staff. Clean room. Good air conditioning. When we were there, there weren't too many guests, so they served breakfast from menu for no extra charge, which was much better than buffet. It is not as professional as what we usually experience in city hotels, however, I would say this is probably the best service you would get in this area.

Great place for the money in Bodh Gaya. Clean room and kind family that runs the place who were very helpful with all my questions. Gave me recommendations on good places to eat. Short walk to the Mahabodhi stupa. Their WiFi was better than the WiFi at any of the cafes I ate at.

I like to stay at the outskirt so this small hotel is ok for 2 nights. The room and bathroom were good cleaned. The facilities are not many that budget option. All hotel staffs are friendly and active service, new staff or trainees are shy. Wonderfully, food is tasty and kitchen wares are good quality, but limited option in menu. However, hotel is nice for my journey a...

In terms of price it is not the cheapest around the vicinity of bodh gaya. However, the value of money is high. When we arrive at Gaya Railway station at an unholy hour...a staff waited for us for hotel transfer.. Which is good and safe as Bihar is not so safe. The location of the hotel is a bit far from action, but they have free bicycles, and that's all what matter...

The Indians are well known for their hospitality. However, during our stay , we were simply delighted with the hospitality at Hotel Bodhgaya Regency. Starting from the reception, about the cleanliness of the rooms , as well as their style and décor, to the most courteous service. With the absolute best recommendation for the Hotel Bodhgaya Regency , we are looking for...

Rooms are without windows as such feeling damp n moist after using bathroom. There is no Wi-Fi. Asked n said the router is out of order and would take one hour to buy a new one. But after almost a week there is still no Wi-Fi supplied. No doubt that this is incredible India ! But after all, the location is perfectly closed to the Mahabhodi Temple and to those nice res...

The owner of the guest house Alok and his cousin Kashyap are real kind! What they provide is beyond the hospitality...you would received the real and sincere humanity welcome and treatment here! I would definitely come back in the fiture!!! Best wishes to the guest house and both lovely men that I would miss!

It does not look like any 4 or 5 star hotel, but it was better in terms of comfort, cleanliness and price. Room was excellently good, air conditioning and WiFi both worked well. Very reasonable rate. Staff very nice and accommodating. Good breakfast. The location was really convenient, just half a kilometer from the Mahabodhi temple and other sites are also close by.

Hotel is in a great location, famous sites such as the Thai monastery, Mahabodhi temple and many more are just a few minutes drive away. Room was good in size and decor, and the hotel staff were fine. Could have smiled more, but they were helpful and efficient.

We enjoyed our stay .An easy walk to the Mahabodhi temple and to the hare om and the be happy restaurant. Owners were helpful and our room was clean with good wifi. The only thing I was a bit dissappointed with was that we booked a double room but we're given a room with 2 single beds which we pushed together.,no big deal really, and the AC which was like a fridge didn't...

The location of the hotel, is outside the Bodh Gaya Temple complex. In fact it's outside the main entrance, where there are multiple options within the Campus. Its next to a local village market, making access to hotel difficult. Having said that there are local battery operated rickshaws who take around Rs 30 to reach the main temple block. If priced well, this could ...

Bodh Gaya is an interesting and peaceful city and our stay at the Taj Darbar Hotel made this even more enjoyable. Price is very reasonable. Our room was clean, and the reception staff were extremely nice and always willing to help with information and reservations. Breakfast was very good, offering a variety of items. We highly recommend this hotel if you visit Bodh Ga...

stayed here for 5 nights in dec 2012, overall a good experience. average cleanliness and the general setup is what i expected after staying in half a dozen different hotels around india in the past 7 weeks. the owner/manager binay was very attentive to my needs, served up a nice hot breakfast every morning, helped me by arranging a taxi to/from patna airport. hot water...

i booked this hotel with accomadation and tour to varanasi and bodh gaya, the tour was excellent the driver was very experienced and dedicated, the rooms were large spacious and meals was also good, the staff was very friendly and didn't charge for any extra mileage of the tour. a great hotel and mr ansar ali was always available and sorted every planning professionall...

its a budget property with all basic amenities like electric kettle, clean towels and I was surprised by toiletry bottles of body wash & shampoo, which is quite unusual in small hotels in India at this budget. Transport is easy to find and there are some good cafes around.Staffs are helpful, specially the guy at reception.

My visit to Tergar Monastery in Buddha Gaya , which is also called Karmapa monastery was total convenience due to this property. The hotel is 10-15 steps from the main entrance of Karmapa. Though its a 1 floor property with rooms on ground floor, its maintained and rooms are clean.Hot water was there with good bathroom fittings.Overall exceeded my expectation and I found...

I can recommend staying at this hotel. Fair price, good services, excellent staff, clean rooms, tasty food and most importantly location - very convenient, not far from the famous temples and sites of the city. The only thing we want to change: bathroom tabs, these did not work well, apart from this, everything was of good value for money.

1. different to the picture 2. hard to get transport. we have to rent a tutu 100 rupee or motorbike 100 rupee one way. and the problem is the road condition is very bad, image how you feel on tutu. if you want a car, 600 rupee fix price no matter where u go 3. its in the country side, actually quite far away from the main temple in gaya 4. NO WIFI at all, maybe just...

We were happy with overall service. In a small place like Gaya and Bodh Gaya our expectations were low. We wanted basic comforts and Gautum was good in that. Clean Rooms and Toilets, basic Tea Kettle, car hire with driver, WiFi, good food during BF, Lunch, safe and peaceful

Would have got five star on facilities if and when they fix the internet connection issue. I liked the location as it was close to a local market and street food. Others might think it a bit far from the temple but it was a quick and cheap ride by Auto. Much better than staying at Gaya
Traveler impressions of Bodh Gaya
Stay at Lumbini hotel, there are some nearby attraction around the hotel apart from Maha Bodhi temple which takes 20 - 30mins on foot.
Most guide books say Rikshaws are not allowed in the city center, but there are spotted as a matter of fact.
The town has little to do except two important things...visiting the bodhi tree where Buddha found enlightenment and visiting his cave 15km outside the city where Buddha meditated for six years without enlightenment.

The room pictures of GK Palace at Agoda are fake. The actual room at GK Palace are very different and much less comfortable. The elevator had been out of use for the whole our 15 days staying period. The staff are not really helpful nor professional. There are many better choices to stay in Bodhgaya with the same level price.
