Dorsett Grand Hotel We recently stayed at Dorsett Grand Hotel in Chengdu for 5 nights and we loved it. The hotel is in a fantastic location close to the city centre and the Metro station is less than 100m from the hotel. The room we stayed in was surprisingly spacious and clean, with a separate sitting area with its own TV. The bed was big and comfortable and the bathroom supply was of good quality. The hotel offers a wide range of breakfast in both Chinese and western styles. Staff at reception speaks good English which makes the check-in / out trouble-free. The concierge service staff were most helpful and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel as it offers fantastic value for money, great location, comfort stay and great breakfast with helpful staff. We will definitely return next time when we visit Chengdu and won’t hesitate to recommend it to our friends.

It was a beautiful stay and most importantly very clean and excellent service. I actually forgot I was in Chengdu. The room service prices for food were reasonable and the staff were very polite and helpful. Plus they all spoke English. Highly recommend this hotel in Chengdu but definitely the price is more than most hotels in Chengdu.

We have become perennial guests at Niccolo Chengdu. During our annual visits to see family, it is like our home away from home, as it has all the luxuries of home and then some. We are travelers that demand high quality and service wherever we go, and Niccolo Chengdu has often met and exceed our expectations. The rooms are well-appointed, clean, spacious and have a luxurious feel. The staff is consistently excellent and attentive, and often go above and beyond. The buffet breakfast is the best in town with a wide variety of options, but it is pricey. However, you get what you pay for. The pool is really nice although the water temperature could be a few degrees higher for better comfort of its guests. Finally, the location is perfect, as it is in the heart of central Chengdu and directly across from Tai Koo Li, a modern (albeit expensive) shopping district with all the options and alternatives of luxury living. And, best of all for us, it is within walking distance to family!

Situated at the foothill of Qin Cheng mountain. Ambience inside and outside are peaceful and quietness. Room are made of wood as hotel stress on friendly environment and exude class thus felt like merge with Tao. Lots of waterfalls and like staying with nature. Buffet is excellent as all food are self made by the hotel eg jams. The hotel has home grown vegetables and mushroom too. See a lot people practice Taichi behind the hotel is a big park. This is a definite hotel for relaxation as it's situated in Dujiangyan outskirts of Chengdu. The hotel is near the Irrigation System and Panda Valley. The scenery of the Qin Cheng mountain was used for the Kungf Panda 3 movie thus like the movie peacefulness and fun. Most of the management staffs do made effort to greet you personally which I did not encounter at other 5 stars hotel from some big cities. Truly amazing. Hotel staff are truly helpful and courteous. It's not only consider at the present 7.3 but should be perfect 10. For relaxation, Six Senses should be the choice of hotel and at the Qin Cheng mountain....free from hustle and bustle from cities.

I choosed this hotel becuase it is the same hotel group as LKF Hotel in Hong Kong and also because it just opened ( in 2012). I also got upgraded when I check in. The bathroom is very big and nice, it has a seperate shower and a nice bathtub next to the window over looking Chengdu. The room is also very big and very well decorated, 2 big TV, comfortable bed, auto-controlled curtain......Most important, the price is not too expensive compare to other 4/5 star hotel in Chengdu. Great value for money.

Kempinski has long been one of the best hotels in Chengdu for its convenient location - 20-minute drive from the airport and a subway station just 200m away. Room size and property maintenance is good but: (1) there is a car-park gate in front of the hotel entrance so taxi drivers are reluctant to drive in and tend to drop you off outside the main road. Though 50m away from the hotel entrance, I was caught in the rain this time. (2) not many good F&B outlets nearby only perhaps a dozen local ones in th opposite streets. (3) the pillows are bad - one is too flat but two are too thick!

I usually prefer to stay at this hotel due to its competitive price, services, and vicinity to the Metro Station . The hotel provides free beverages in the refrigerator and they also offer some sweet snacks. Their breakfast has variety of dishes, though there is limited western style food. The staff is also helpful and try to response at their earliest. Their internet speed should be improved further, but its OK for a normal user. I would definitely suggest travelers to try this hotel in Chengdu....

Great location to attend trade shows at the convention center and about 20 minutes to the airport and city center. Chengdu isn't a very big city and traffic is reasonable, so you can get anywhere fairly quickly. The rooms are clean and spectacular with amazing 5 star hotel finishes. Lots of food options in the mall next door.

It's so confusing when we tried to find the entrance of the hotel from the car park. And the night light in our room couldn't be turned off so we had to call their electrician and cut it off which was very disappointing since it's the most expensive hotel in Chengdu.

the hotel is opposite one of the famous attractions of chengdu - one of the 4 main zen monasteries - and within an area that has been recreated to look like the old chinese streets, including a very interesting street market. the hotel itself has a large buddha statue in its inner courtyard and if possible try and get a room facing it. the other rooms face the recreated streets and street markets and i was told from other travellers there, that it can be noisy until 8pm at which time the market closes and all is quiet. the rooms are simply beautiful and at the price you pay, it is wayyyyy better than any other hotel in chengdu. the staff are generally friendly except for one girl at reception who one would suspect is from the secret police - she wants to know when you entered china, when you cam to chengdu, where from, where to and so on. but quite friendly nevertheless.

Very friendly staff unlike the people in Chengdu. We went to Watsons at the mall and ask about where can buy medication but the answer is very moody and no smile hahaha

this is honestly the best hotel i've stayed at in china for the price. the rooms were spacious, provided free internet and the health spa offered very reasonable massage prices. the lunch buffet was an outstanding deal at 98rmb and offered a huge selection of food and desserts at great quality. staff were all very attentive and polite. reception spoke english too. i would definitely stay there the next time i am in chengdu with zero hesitation.

Our experience at St. Regis was the best. It's a definite 5 star hotel and more! The service provided by all the staff was exceptional. The condition of the hotel is excellent. This hotel does not deserve a 9.2 but a 10! If you are reading this just book this hotel, you will not regret it. The service provided and the comfort of the room will help you enjoy your trip in Chengdu even more.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Lots of choice for breakfast too. Shuttle bus to/from the airport and easy to take a taxi into the city and see sights. Reception desk staff speak English well. Recommend this international hotel in Chengdu.

You’ll understand why the name of this hotel includes an exclamation mark when you stay here: My wife and I are hotel-jumping and Lia! has been the clear high point of our accommodation experience in Chengdu. A possible misleading aspect of this hotel’s quality is an old-style lobby which betrays somewhat the boutique design and layout on the floors above: Just ignore the improvised decoration and the shopping mall vendor outside the elevator until you get to your room. The hotel entrance is around the corner from the JW Marriott, useful info since the app map places the hotel farther north than it really is. Very close to Tianfu Square. Our only regret is that the hotel was fully booked on subsequent nights, preventing us from staying longer. In the price range on Agoda, Lia is #1 for us in Chengdu.

The Hilton Chengdu is a fabulous hotel with well appointed rooms and gracious staff. The staff were professional, courteous, and spoke impeccable English. The language piece for me isn't a requirement (and enjoy practicing my beginning Mandarin), but the stay at Hilton Chengdu was enhanced by the ease of communication. We loved the comfy bed, the beautiful bathroom, as well as the gym and swimming pool. Perhaps the only drawback is that it is far away from the city center. Taxis are readily available, however. Overall, I would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

Chengdu Youke Hotel is located very close to ChunXu Road, the most popular road in ChengDu. It is not expensive, but with wonderful breakfast. The room is clean, and with specific design. It can be equivalent to 4 stars hotel. The lobby is very small, but it doesn't impact my good impression on it. My daugter like this hotel very much. If have chance, I would like to stay in Youke Hotel again.

It is not easy to find a western-style breakfast on the mainland. In Chengdu, fortunately, the breakfast at the Sofitel Hotel is really impossible to challenge. A cup of ground coffee, delicious yoghurt, authentic French bread, bread pudding and French Bonne Maman jam are all wonderful. Of course, the hotel staff are well trained in service and are also important factors. Of course, Chinese-style meals are just as delicious, and a chef who cooks noodles cooks a delicious Sichuan-style pasta. Chinese dishes are also very rich, so to speak, no matter the Chinese or Western breakfast, the Sofitel Hotel offers a delightful and memorable breakfast. I am looking forward to seeing you again in Chengdu next time. I can stay at the Sofitel Hotel again and experience another wonderful experience. （要在大陸找到具有西方品味的早餐，不見得十分容易。在成都，很幸運的，索菲特酒店的早餐真讓人無法挑惕。一杯研磨咖啡、美味酸奶、正統法國麵包、標準麵包布丁以及法國Bonne Maman果醬等都讓人感覺十分美好。當然，酒店人員受到良好服務訓練，也是重要美好因素。當然，中式餐點一樣可口，煮麵的隆老師傅，煮出極為道地的川味麵食。中式菜色同樣豐富美味，中、西方早餐，索菲特酒店都提供了讓人愉悅高興又難忘的早餐餐

I would recommend this hotel for any visitor to Chengdu. It is conveniently located, and a short walk to the major shopping malls. I booked this hotel online and thought that it did not come with complimentary breakfast so I was pleasantly surprised that breakfast was complimentary. I also stayed at the Shangri-La in Wuhan before I flew to Chengdu and although I liked the businesslike room there better, overall, I prefer to stay at the Crowne Plaza. I have a sense the Crowne Plaza has more personalized service.

i stayed in three holiday inn hotels in chengdu, oriental plaza stands out for its newly furnished building, excellent services and good location (which is close to lan gui fang). plus, the promotion rate is a good deal.

Right at city centre and surrounded by many malls and restaurants. Very new and clean. Services from all front line staffs are very courteous and good. Starbucks just next door. Food from Man HO restaurant is delicious. Ambience of room is modern and serene. Price of room till food are reasonable. Highly recommended

Classic, long lasting for decades as THE place to stay in central Chengdu. Having toured this property 3 yrs prior, and noted the elegant, unique dining room, when a "special" for room w/buffet breakfast, at 1/4 the "normal" price, was offered, I immediately booked two "special treat" nights. Chengdu's Jinjiang Hotel is the equal to, in some cases, exceeds NYC Plaza Hotel. Would stay here on return if this 4-5mos winter traveler spotted a similar budget offering.

We have stayed at least 3 times in the last month and found the hotel consistently perfect. Beds are extremely comfortable and rooms are well appointed and housekeeping is flawless. Staff is genuinely helpful, they helped us change our dates without any hassle when we had issues with our flights and helped us book train tickets as we had difficulties with the Chinese systems. They also offered us flexible check in and out times. Hotel is located in the newly developed technology area of Chengdu and is next to a metro station.

It's the Hyatt Chinese style - good clean nice room. Very conveniently located right downtown and lots of eateries and shops in the pedestrian shopping zone in downtown Chengdu.

This is going to be a slightly long review as I will cover a few aspects. LOCATION - Very near to WenShuYuan MRT exit H. When you exit from Exit H, cross the road (at your exit there is a traffic light) and walk left. There is a stall which sells fruit at the last of your lane and turn right in and there is your hotel. Staff (I think is the manager is very rude. She gives a bad face and when I requested for 2 pillows, she brought the pillow without the pillowcase. What type of service and nonsense is this?) But the cleaner does her job and is friendly. That is good. They do not accept tips and I think that is commendable! :) Diligent and cleans the room well. Basic cleanliness is obtained. The toilet glass is actually not fully frosted, the bottom is see through and also, the door and the wall has some gap.. Facilities wise it is okay, room is spacious & bed is very comfy! Soft! For the location and the comfort, I would recommend people staying in this hotel for their visit!

We are a group of 3 couples booked 3 double rooms for the first period from June 30 to July 2 nights. We liked the hotel so much that we also stayed in the same hotel for the second period from July 6 to 8 nights. The hotel is located on a reasonably quiet street and we were relaxed enough to walk on the street without feeling intimidated by heavy traffic in a big city of about 6 millions people. The street is lined with old style Chinese buildings on both sides and it is quite a sight. The hotel location is ideal for us as there are 2 parks/gardens nearby which are excellent places for morning stroll. The underground train station is about 5-minute walk away. There are local buses on the main streets one can ride at a cost of RMB2 per trip. The famous Kuan Zhai Alleys are about 15-minute walk away if you like to squeeze with both local and overseas tourists. We were given a choice to stay on the floor we preferred. If you don't mind using the stairs, rooms on the 4th which is the top floor offered a reasonable view of the horizon. There is no lift in the hotel and the staff offered to bring our luggages to the top floor. The rooms were clean, spacious and the standard hotel facilities were available. The beds were comfortable and we had restful sleeps in the rooms. The rooms on the ground floor face the courtyard where breakfast and dinner were served. The meals offered by the hotel were alright. For the adventurous compared to the varieties of food one can find in Chengdu, the hotel food was nothing to shout about. The service of the courtyard staff was poor and it was the only disappointment we had of this hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. They spoke both Chinese and English. One of the staff even offer to bring my trekking shoes for repair at cost without asking for tips or additional service fee. If I were to visit Chengdu again, I will definitely stay in this hotel again. Generally I found Chengdu a nicer city to visit compared to S

best place to stay in chengdu! so near to the metro (which was in a mall, silver), and so near to the shopping district. the staff spoke great english and were very friendly and attentive. they have an outdoor lounge area upstairs which was really nice... if the chengdu weather was not hazy and the nights dark. also, they have organised tours within the hostel, so if you come to chengdu without any plans, just follow their free (and awesome) map and you'll have a blast! the worst part of my 2 week trip there was the 'sichuan opera'. the whole thing is an embarrassment to the name of theatre and performance art. if you want to watch a proper oriental opera, do not follow their tour. spend some money and watch a good one. i wanted to cry at the end of it. it did have the mask-changing and a bit of acrobats, i've watched better ones in beijing and malaysia for free by the temples. oh!!! do try the blind massage at the niushikou blind massage school, it's near the niushikou metro (42, niushikou rd.), the best massage ever for only 35 yuan (about usd6).

Nice host , Nice apartment in Chengdu very close to Taikoo li area , but 1 little thing ..... the bed bug bite me so need to change bed sheets everyday!

I already stayed in a number of Chengdu hotels bokked by my company. This stay I booked for myself with a bit of personal upgrade. During the business travel there is usually not much time for yourself. Experiencing the luxury as the large bathrooms and exquisite breakfast arrangement was a perfect setup then. I enjoyed every minute there before I got to work again on a Sunday morning 10 am.

We had a really great stay at this hotel! It was well kept and very clean and tidy. The staff were incredible! The couple (?) who manage it speak very good English and are exceptionally helpful, they provided us with tips for the area and recommendations! Facilities are a 4 star because there is no fridge in the room, other than that, we could not fault the room! 5 star stay overall :)
