If you're in Davao City and want to spend quality time and need a place to stay that you will enjoy the atmosphere of the local people, Waterfront Insular Hotel is the place to be. I totally love the ambiance inside the hotel, it was really relaxing as if you want to stay here forever. On the negative side, the nonavailability of WIFI in each room in the hotel. So far you can only connect if you're outside the room. But overall my experienced was really great specially at breakfast time, I love the food, I hope they can showcase more the taste of local food in Davao as well. The staff were great and scenery is fantastic. Next time I visit Davao City, I will surely stay here again.

the apo view hotel is really a landmark place and has been a part of history of davao city being here over 60 years. yes the hotel is old but the rooms are nice spacious and clean. perhaps the materials used during construction of this hotel were excellent thats why it still great and you will not mind at all the age. complete with cable tv, mini ref, free coffee , water heater for coffee drinks, pipe in music, hair dryer , etc. comfort is at hand. at night we tried the buffet dinner with live performer making your night nostalgic. the garden is also a nice spot to walk on after your full meal. however the downside is if your after hotel swimming i don't think you will enjoy the pool. that area - swimming pool needs really immediate renovation.

Seda Abreeza is the place to stay if you want to make sure you'll have a good night sleep after a day of walking and strolling. The bed is super comfortable and the windows are big (the boyfriend requires those 2 things and they have it!). Also, they have a smoking area which is rare for hotels in Davao City. I just don't like the fact that an expensive hotel room does not have a bidet in the toilet. I hope they can work that out.

If you want a place wherein you feel like you are in a English bar, this place is surely a contender. I love seeing so much foreigner in such place in Davao City. The hotel being owned by a British national married to a local, the atmosphere was taken to a higher level. If you're looking to hooked up with a white guy or you just feel horny and want to try a different one. This place is the place to find your partner. You'll surely enjoy the fun, the drinks and sometimes the sex you will never forget. It was a fun place to be with and I will surely stay here again and again.

Pinnacle hotel remains to be our favorite hotel in Davao City. The rooms and beds are spacious. It's just sad that the toilets seem to be unattended, as you can clearly see deterioration and corrosion happening. Internet is also very slow, so they may have to address that. Otherwise, staff are all friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is great! And if you have to meet with clients, the lobby is spacious enough to accommodate it. By far the best we have stayed in at Davao City.

After trying many hotels in Davao City I would say that the Grand Regal Hotel is the best hotel for me. Never mine Abreeza or Radisson they are in another class of hotels. But for the P 2,000 - P 4,000.00 range I would say that this hotel is value for money due to its large rooms, fairly good breakfast, location (in the middle of the busy JP Laurel Avenue), close to good restaurants and SM Lanang Mall. Would help if you renovate the pool, arrange a new band and light up the hotel a little more from the outside to attract more visitors.

I booked my stay around Kadayawan Festival Week. Extremely busy but I booked it ahead so it was a very good value for my money. Myself and my 2 teenage children shared the room although it was extremely small for 3 of us, yet we managed to organize our stuff around the room. Easier after staying in a much smaller room in Singapore. Beds and linens are in best form. Air conditioning system is excellent. Shower and toilet facilities are fully functional. No problem with plumbing system, as seen in most older hotels in Davao. The place is convenient for us with families living around the area. Easy exits Via Damosa-Buhangin-Airport Route and via Dumanlas if you want to avoid the traffic in J.P. Laureal Ave to go to downtown area. Family and friends enjoyed the Pthoto session in the lobby. Great to meet up and go and explore. Pleasant breakfast restaurant downstairs which could get too busy and have to wait a while to get a seat. Robinson's grocery shop next door was handy to pick up drinks and snacks, salad and fruit. Short taxi ride to SM Lanang, to Samal Island pump boat terminal, jeepneys to Abreeza and downtown. Will consider to stay in this hotel every time I come home to Davao. I have read previous reviews so I know what to expect from this property.

If you have the money to experience high class excellence and royal comfort, Park Inn by Radisson is the perfect hotel for you in Davao City. Location-wise, it's amazing since it's literally 20 steps away from one of the newest and largest malls in the city - SM Lanang Premiere. They even have a walkway connected to the mall itself; you won't have to walk under the heat of the sun to get to the mall. Facility-wise, idk if it's a 5-star hotel but it certainly seems like it, based on all the other 5-star hotels I've stayed in. The bed, the carpet, the air-conditioning system, everything in the room screams 5-star! The pool though is dark blue; I'm not really a fan of pools with dark blue tiles, and it's a bit cramped into their poolside restaurant - it could be improved. And the price is something that ain't practical if you're just gonna go out and about in the city anyway. Park Inn is perfect for staycations in Davao City!

When in Davao City and we want to go to the beach, we stay at Paradise Island Park and Beach Resort. We know there are other resorts on Samal Island, but after enjoying ourselves immensely the first time we visited in 2009 we haven't had any need to stay anywhere else. Premiere Cottages have better amenities than the Deluxe Cottages and are closer to the beach and other activity areas. When informed in advance, the Resort can reserve either a single detached bungalow or a duplex for guests. Response to reservation inquiries is prompt although the correspondence could be less formal and more warmly worded. Room tariff does not include breakfast, but provides free or discounted use of recreational facilities at the resort. Tours of Samal Island can be conveniently arranged before or during one's stay. Expect service at the restaurant to be slow during peak hours as food is prepared fresh and cooked to order. Waiters may look at tad harried at this time but in general the resort staff are unfailingly polite. Some overly large posters that obscure the view of the sea from the cottages could be taken down but there really are no major complaints. We have every reason to come back.

we had a great time in pearl farm beach resort in davao city. we stayed in samal house, a cottage built on stilts above the tropical blue waters. we had the best view in pearl farm's coral-rich sea just below and the kids had fun feeding the school of fish...best of all, the food was really great!!!

I was expecting less from this hotel because it's a dormitel but it exceeded my expectation. This is close to establishments and attractions in Davao City. The room price was cheap for 4 persons. The room was clean and deodorized. The bed was so comfortable and the size was enough. The lighting in the room was good too. Aircondition worked well except that there was a bit of a noise. The comfort room was spacious too and has hot water. I was able to park a car in the building. What I love most about this is how they include and train people with special needs. A person with a down syndrome greeted us and offered us fortune cookies and chocolate. Thank you for the accommodation. I will definitely go back and will recommend this hotel to my friends.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chema’s. Perfect resort at Samal Island. The resort is only 5-10 min boat ride from Waterfront Insular hotel (Davao City). The location is perfect! It’s easy to locate. We also enjoyed their food especially the halo halo. They will assign 1 staff who will assist you during your stay. If you are planning to go to Talicud Island, I suggest you go back to Waterfront Insular hotel ride a taxi going to Sta.Ana Wharf then take their public transport boat instead of renting a boat from Kaputian Island. That’s the cheapest way. But if money is not an issue you just have to ask their staff to find you a multicab or habal habal going to Kaputian Island.

Nothing but good things to say about this hotel. It is situated in a quiet subdivision in front of SM Davao Annex in Ecoland. I booked this hotel at a reasonable price of Php1,300 per night, excluding taxes. The check in was quick, the front desk staff was friendly and there was assistance with luggage when I arrived. I requested for a room on the ground floor via my Agoda booking and they were able to accommodate my request. The room was big and had all the usual amenities (wifi, hot shower, toiletries, AC, cable TV) and add-ons (kitchen, big refrigerator). I even saw that there were available pans and other kitchen needs if you need those. The only con was the shower pressure, which was kind of weak. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you’re ever in Davao City.

It's one of the oldest hotel located in the busy place in Davao City. All of the hotel staff are very much accommodating. The hotel price is affordable. They have free breakfast! And they are delicious! Highly suggested chorizo super yummy! ♥️

great stay! I'm 19, the staff were extremely helpful and polite,the rooms were nice and big with free wifi which was great as most hotels charge to use wifi. the blue bar was nice not expensive reasonable prices and the food was decent. the hotel is opposite a mall called SM which has everything you would need encase you forgot somehting on your travels! i would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Davao city.

The location is very ideal for business purposes. Keep in mind that traffic jam is inevitable in Davao city. so a 5 min walk to SM lanang is a plus. Since it's busy area, transportation is great and food options are also within close proximity. I will stay here again

Hello! I highly recommend this hotel in Davao city. The staff are friendly and will give you the best service possible. The room is clean as well as the bathroom. My accommodation includes buffet breakfast and I'm giving the breakfast food selections 5 stars. Few things that can be improved is their hot shower, please have it checked because your guests will highly favored hot showers in the evening after a long tiring day. The bathroom includes a bath tub which needed to have another look specifically the water stopper because it wasn't really working well. I would have wanted to enjoy a hot tub but I couldn't save water. I didn't bother to call and have it fix during my stay as I was already tired to wait for someone to take a look at it -- so this is for your future guests. Overall, it's worth the money staying at TRMH. Thank you.

this hotel was less then 10 minutes from the airport or the central area of davao city, taxi rides were not expensive. nice room, lots of space. good pool and continental breakfast at this location.

My friend and I went for a mountain climbing in Bukidnon after 4 days in the mountain we are so tired and are so looking forward to stay in a nice place.. upon checking online we found a nice deal from Agoda and manage to book it right away on the same day.. The Hotel is in perfect Location, near to restaurants and shops, as well as not far from Davao airport. The Staff is the best! very helpful and accommodating. The Bedroom is very clean, Beds are so comfortable and the size of the room is really good. Breakfast is included in the price and it was a good Buffet with fresh fruits.. Over all we Love the place. And we will com back for more!

sobra mabait ang mga staff. dumating kami ng ma aga sa Davao. ang check in pa namin ay 2PM. nag wait kami para sa oras ng check in. asawa ko ay antok na. naka tulog sa upoan. may nag check out ng ma aga. pag ka tapos nila linisan ay pina check in na kami around 10:30AM. na wala extra charge.

The first night I arrived in Manila was probably the worst part of my trip to the Philippines...I was picked up at the Airport by a gentleman from the Hotel I had booked online...the pictures advertised about that Hotel and the reality of what I faced where two different things. That alone made me think about my stay at Domicilio Lorenzo Apartelle where I would spend most of my time in Davao City but when I got there I was pleasantly surprised by the lady at the front desk...I think Ivy was her name...and she moved us to another room and hour after my arrival due to the simple fact that the reconstruction job on site had us hearing all the noise of the construction workers right above our heads. After we were moved to our new room we were in total peace...the room she gave us was right in front of the pool and it was everything we could want and more...THE ENTIRE STAFF was extremely helpful every time we needed anything...something as simple as getting me some beers in the neighborhood to taking all our clothes to be washed at the nearest laundry place. Again I must emphasize the fact that THE ENTIRE STAFF takes pride in their commitment to making your stay at this place a memorable experience...the beautiful ladies always had a smile on their face and the gentlemen who took care of the pool and other responsibilities where very helpful and friendly all the time...we had to visit Kidapawan for three days and we left all our belongings in the room and the day we came back everything was intact...the room had been cleaned and the air conditioning was on waiting for our arrival. The bed was very comfortable...we had wi-fi in our room during our entire stay...and we definitely enjoyed our stay at this place and the price is great for the kind of service and attention provided.

Very good stay in the end. Had booked the last room available in Agoda around this season. I was very pleased that the front desk facilitated my request to upgrade during check in. One of the staff on duty named Andrew has kindly offered to show the rooms first for me to decide and I was very pleased with that as it added a pleasant experience during our overall stay. Local breakfast cuisine was served in the restaurant area. Great to catch up with family and friends who came to see us and good location although parking is not as convenient as we would like it to be. This is located in downtown area so easy access to local restaurants, transportation and other attractions in Davao City. The hotel has a homey feeling and credit to their staff who are willing to take an extra mile in making their guests visit a comfortable and pleasant.

Great Stay at this Hotel. The hotel looks not luxury hotel but can feel as luxury hotel. Big Rooms, great surrounding as even you just stay at the hotel you can still find the comfort and relaxing moment. Room very clean and i love my stay at 1st level. Wifi at first level is so slow and lucky i can connect to the lobby so not a problem. Location is great as very near at SM Lanang, just 15-20 min drive to airport and other tourist spot in davao. Samal island is also accessible from hotel as you just need to ride in a jeepney and you can easily reach the port, of course with the help of friendly drivers and people in davao city. Davao city is the best city Ive been in the philippines. It was better than Cebu. Anyway, cebu is better than Manila. So it is the best City among those 3. had a great time in Davao.

this is the best budget hotel so far in davao city. hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city. considering that this hotel newly operated a few months back, it is evident that this is well managed. all staff were polite and helpful starting from the security guard, check-in counter and housekeeping. the best thing was that i was allowed an early check as i left my previous accomodation because i was not happy with the service provided. i would definitley check in this hotel next time i will be in davao.

This is the first time i experience à service à real personal service. It started already when i booked. After my booking by agoda i got one email. They thank me i chose this resort and offer me à Free boat transfer from davao city to hof gorei. When the day start we make our honneymoon the owner get us personaly and also food and some other passengers. When we arrivé at the resort we got à warm welcome and our personal butler introducé hisself to us. And hè brought as to our cute house made off bamboo with and à c and à fantastic bed with roses on it co s they. Knew it was our wedding trip. We had also beautifull sea view. Reniel our butler hè serves Every meal with roses. We really feel queen and King. We diner also at THE. Beach and eat our lunch at the swimming pool. One time we walk 224 stairs up and enjoy also there wonderfull service and view and cooler temp. I really don t know why but it s so quiet Every where there. Often we were alone at the beach and swimming pool.The resort was full booked but it really feel as one personal resort. The staff is so Nice and helpfull and the price very affordable. Most Nice place ever been.

I and my partner stayed for a night only. We got the matrimonial bed since there was a good offer for the room. Matrimonial rooms are regularly priced at around Php 1500+ but we got to book it for only Php 1100. A very good deal. The staff were friendly during our stay. The bathroom was clean and hot and cold shower was available. The location is very strategic since it is located near shopping malls and city centers. We haven't experienced ordering their food since we ate at a local resto outside the hotel. If you are in the city for business purposes, you may need to bring your own wifi device since the wifi is only available at the lobby. Also, phone signals are somewhat low on our room. Having said that, I still recommend the place if you are on a budget and want a clean and peaceful place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room is big and clean. The bathroom is okay. The pool is okay but can be renovated or needs re-design to attract more travellers. Even the front and side view of the Hotel exterior needs renovation and re-design. The buffet breakfast is great. And the hotel staff even the guards are all helpful and polite. Although I think we paid a little higher than the average prices of the hotels in Davao, I think it's worth it and I will recommend this to my friends, and even go back to this hotel in the future :)

Excellent hotel, peaceful and stunning setting, if you want quite time in nature with your partner i would recommend this establishment 100%. Beautiful surroundings with stunning views of davao city and the sea, temperature also cooler due to the height, good food, great swimming pool and many activities for the family.

I was originall going to book this Hotel but due to the previous reviews i changed my mind. I came and checked it out whilst i was staying elsewhere. For the price you will be hard pushed to find a better hotel in Davao. Its new and clean. The staff are great once they get to know you. My room faced the street which is busy but quietens down after 10pm. I think they are short staffed so they ask you to tell reception when you want your room cleaning. For the budget conscious they have fan rooms not advertised which i changed too for $10 a night for a double it is a shared bathroom which has about 5 showers but hey well worth it.still have wifi just no tv
