Hi, I had a fortune to visit Durban for a Business conference and I booked Hotel Pavilion through agoda. I was shocked to see the location, the clean hotel and comfortable rooms. I was now happy because what I paid was nothing against the services I got. I wish Hotel Pavilion best of luck for this future business. I would visit Durban very soon with my family and will surely prefer this hotel again

The staff is very friendly and helpful. You immediately receive a sense that you are a welcomed the minute you set foot in the hotel. The rooms are stylishly furnished and airy. The city view from the deluxe room balcony is one of the best city views a Durban hotel can offer.

I really loved the location, it changed my dbn visit for the first time in my life....... facilities was good.... I visited and called the hotel for an early check in which I was advised the hotel was fully booked, which is understandable. ...However the room was still not ready by 2:30..... What i did appreciate was being upgraded to executive room.... Another point to note....i also requested twin beds.....which was noted prior to my visit.....because my visit was so quick......and I had appointments ect.....i had no time to mention this....and my brother had to sleep on the couch........... Apart from that the room i was allocated was awesome in terms of comfort.....The staff was really helpful as well. time is very important if your booking for a day....and details requested(twin beds) I do come to gateway often which a group of people.....who often ask me for recommendations..... Many thanks.

I'm telling it like it is, not biased at all.That place it's a dream. I really had a great time with hubby for our Valentines' get away. Clean, quiet and convenient. Loved the bed and the bedding not forgetting the towels.Next to everything.We got our money's worth. Thank you Coastlands Durban.

The Royal hotel in Durban is conveniently located in the center of the city. From the hotel, you can walk to the harbor. You can take a stroll at the square featuring the city hall. You can also take the people's mover bus to the major attractions throughout Durban. There is a business center where you can gain access to the internet. There are a couple of fine dining restaurants within the hotel where you can enjoy food. The staff are friendly and arranged my breakfast to go next morning when I have to leave early to catch a flight. My stay was pleasant at Royal.

This is by far one of the best hotels I've stayed in South Africa. THe service is great, the room is very new and big, with great equipments and definitely clean. The most notible thing on this hotel is its location- it is actually connected to the biggest shopping center in South Africa- the Gateway Mall (you exit the side entrance of the hotel, to enter gate 8, close to Toys'r'us) The staff was very helpful and professional- and what's even better, they give me free WIFI, which is a price saver for someone like me a business traveller. This is highly recommended hotel for a very good price- don't think, just go for it.

This hotel is a great new addition to the Durban beachfront. Although it is not directly on the beach, it is only a 5-7min walk to the beach front. It is centrally located to all major highways, Florida Rd, and central Durban. Great hotel with friendly and welcoming staff, and modern, new amenities. Will definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at the City Lodge even though the Trainee wrongfully charged my card while i had already made the payment. The next time we travel to Durban again it will be our 1st hotel to book. We only struggled with food as the light meals on the menu were not appetising. But for a 3 star hotel it is the best. We will come back again very soon n the WiFi is super fast uploading our memories to social networks was easy.

I cant fault my time here at this hotel. As with most Hiltons the service was great and promt. Very clean and modern hotel in a convenient location. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced considering this is a 5 star hotel and good value I found, good quality & choice. The pool area is not that big, but it’s very clean without getting sore eyes from too many chemicals in water as many pools have in hotels. It has large gym too and well equiped. Hertz is in the basement car park. Very convenient considering Cabs in South Africa are expensive and hard to find. Durban has many more cabs that Joburg, but could still do with more and I recommend booking cars in advance of planned stays. This hotel is walkable to beach and near bye Shops, banks and markets. Really enjoyed my stay here and can recommened.

Magnificent views, beautifully furnished rooms with lovely bathroom. Bathroom includes large jacuzzi bath. For a five star establishment I did not like not being allowed to leave the hotel before my room and minibar was checked, even though a credit card authorisation was taken on check in. But I guess this is South Africa!

We were picked up by Stephen. He was our first impression of Africa. We explained to us the city, culture, language, and the list goes on. He provided smooth, safe and friendly transfer service. His service was impeccable. We can tell that he loves his job and that makes the difference. In addition, your F&B manager, Augustin, kindly spent time explaining to us the city, background, history and really helped in addressing our concerns in many ways. Durban was our first stop in our first time in Africa. We had an impressive experience, and part of it was because of their lovely staff.

I went to Durban for a conference (at the ICC Durban). I used my own funding to support this trip to South Africa, so to save money I stayed at the Albany Hotel instead of the conference hotel (Hilton). I am happy that I made the right choice. The hotel is within walking distance to ICC Durban, only 1/5 the cost of Hilton, and it comes with a nice breakfast buffet. Most importantly, the staffs are very nice and friendly, they are eager to learn my language and use it to greet me every morning. The room is clean and decent. I would recommend this hotel to travelers on a budget. You could save the hotel cost and spend it on other things.

I LOVED the Urban Park Hotel! The apartments are huge and equipped with only the best, the beds are super comfortable and the hotel is located away from the buzz, but close enough! By far my favourite Durban hotel - will def recommend to anyone!

Simply, a fantastic hotel. My wife & I often stay in Durban on short breaks & have stayed @ many of the available hotels. However, this is now far & away our favourite. This is not just a place to lay your weary head, but an experience in itself. Very unusual but awesome decor. Great food & drink. Wonderful service, all finished of with a great, relaxing breakfast. We will certainly be returning & very soon. CHEERS!

This hotel has lovely comfortable rooms at affordable prices and the staff were excellent - so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

WHAT STOOD OUT FOR ME:- How non-intrusive your staff is. They actually leave you alone to be at home yet they are always on hand to promptly assist. I LOVE THAT. Very few hotels get that right. PROS:- Cleanliness, tea/coffee, comfy bed and a good quiet environment for night's rest-just awesome. I was also impressed that everything in my room actually works ie appliances, showers etc-best value for money really. CONS:- I was allocated #35 for the 6 nights I was there I had at least 3 encounters with cockroaches in the room mainly I felt they came from outside when I opened my window. Last year I was given #26 hardly any insects then and that was also an amazing stay. I had a great time. If you could just look into that roaches issue for rooms like #35 that could be super great. Overall I love the Durban Manor Hotel. 2018 was my first time I heard about it and tried it and I was hooked. Now on all my travels I judge other hotels against the standard of the Durban Manor. Thats good

My booking wasn't in in the system and was asked to move to another hotel but couldn't as it was 20 minutes away so I got a room eventually but the TV and kettle didn't work, so were replaced, there was no hairdryer but when asked I got one and when I eventually took a shower, realised it leaked water onto the bathroom floor. The WIFI signal is so weak, it keeps losing connection so I used my phone's data eventually. When I asked if breakfast was included in my rate the next morning I was told "no". I would've made an exception if I was the manager of the establishment, to make up for all the fails. This establishment won an award in 2016, but seems nothing has happened since then and maintenance is not a priority.

Myself and manager spent a night there after a hectic week of driving around the whole South Africa and it was really very nice. When we entered our room we had a sherry compliments from the B & B, and just relaxed. When we woke we woke up over looking the ocean which was extremely beautiful. It is safe, clean and comfortable. I would definitely use this B & B again when I am in Durban for work and pleasure.

Rooms get cleaned so late, you want relax afternoon you find they are only cleaning the rooms you have to wait on the corridors while they are cleaning.

Booked a king bedroom but was assigned a standard bedroom. The hotel charged up front like a budget accommodation. All other things are just ok, nothing is outstanding. I would give it a 3-star, not 4 as advertised. Hopefully, I won't be staying here again.

The Guesthouse was a good choice. Depending on your travel plans I would consider to skip Durban as it has not much to offer as a city.
