Is a friendly city with like most of Devon a relaxed way of life, good shopping for a small city, with both chain stores and independent shops; the food and dinning is excellent with local food being key in most restaurants in Exeter.
Good for 2-4 nights I would say as it is a small city.
Exeter is the quiet and safe place for who want to study places. good environment and the people also very polite, actually I stay for 2 weeks in Exeter, cause my eldest daughter go study.
Efficient place. The amenities and attractions are all conveniently located. The shops are well run and one of the best Boots stores I visited in England.
Staff were knowledgeable and range of merchandise very wide.
This is a quiet-ish city but it still has a vibe about it. It has a night-life, although, as with every city, one does have to be careful in areas.
We visited the Al-Farid restaurant (Moroccan) near the Cathedral. I can recommend this one. The staff were very pleasant, the restaurant had a lovely ambience and the food was very good. We had the mezze (selection of dishes) which arrived quickly and was delicious. The restaurant was quite full so you may need to book - we were lucky: we got there reasonably early and they had a table available.
Great town, friendly people, a variety of restaurants available. If you have the time, go for a drive to the quay, or to the coast.
