there is 1 begger outside the casino which is quite unsightly. other than that, had a bad car accident way back from bridal veil falls as there is a pickup truck with trailer fish tailed to my car and broke the car right front.
probably the truck driver is a impatience guy.
I found Hamilton to be a clean city. A variety of shops and restaurants to suit all budgets. I recommend a walk along the Waikato River and a visit to the Hamilton Zoo.
If you wish to go further out from Hamilton the bus service provides a great way to travel where ever you choose to go, eg Waitomo.
It is a city near to a lot of attractions like the Waitomo caves and the hobbit farm. The location is strategic if you would like to visit different places nearby.
Hamilton is a must go and it is free. Pay a visit to the Waikato Stadium when there is a home rugby game, bet you will be very much impressed by the cow bells!
Iguana restaurant was very nice. Ibis hotel was vet nice also - staff nice. Good location to base your stay if you want to travel to waitomo and rotorua etc.
nice weather in February. 23/24 degrees Celsius everyday.
historically rich part of New Zealand with plenty of things to see and do and great choice of eating out especially if your into indian or asia type cousine
Driving around and finding parking is a breeze. A great variety of restaurants and eat out places for people who like to experience new tastes and flavours.
The night life is awesome!. No dramas, just fun and cheery party people. The Bank bar/club is a must try for sure, with a great dj playing indoors and a fabtastic band playing outside. Town is the place to be during the day and night time.
The gardens are nice, but the city is always much colder than other places close by, not a big fun of being cold, probably won't go back.
For a small city Hamilton has a lot to offer, some good restaurants, a great zoo, and some good sporting facilities to host events.
Its central location should make it a popular choice with tourists.
Hamilton has a nice combination of plenty to do and also space to relax and feel like you are "getting away".
There are loads of choices for food downtown.
You can't pass Hamilton when you are travelling. Stop and stay for a couple of nights and meet the locals.
