Traveling to Japan? Find Himeji hotels

Located just right next to JR Himeji Station and within less than 5 minutes walk, this hotel exceeded all our expectation. We had a Japanese style room just to experience the difference. The room is spacious for 4 of us. Inside the room, everything is very clean and neat. Comes with high tech toilet. The hotel even provide a free smartphone for us to make free local and international phone calls. You can bring the smartphone out and use free data for Google Maps navigation and social networking. The staff are friendly and helpful. The lady who helped us check-in even brought us to the room and showed us all the facilities. The hotel provides coin operated laundry machine. For 300 yen you can have clean clothes in no time. A Lawson convenient store is right under the hotel. Also there are supermarket and department store and a shopping mall next to the hotel. Walk to Himeji Castle only takes 15 min. We really enjoy staying in this hotel and recommend to anyone visiting Himeji.

This is our second stay at Dormy Inn Himeji, and we chose to return to it for its great location just five minutes on foot from JR Himeji train station and the local bus station that takes you around Himeji and its outskirts. Room rates are so easy on the pocket and you know you will get a neat, clean room. Another plus point is the availability of a host of dining and shopping options nearby. One can even walk all the way to Himeji Castle in under 20 minutes, passing malls and market alleys. As with all Dormy Inn hotels, guests can use the free hot spring and partake in a complimentary ramen supper. On this stay, I ordered a foot massage to my room, and the therapist delivered my aching feet straight to seven heaven. I only wished I could take her with me on the rest of my trip!

The location is perfect with just beside Himeji Station, it's happening within walking distance but too bad most of the shops here closed at 8pm which is too early and I got no chance to shop around. Hotel itself is good, clean, spacious and even with UCC capsule coffee machine in the room which is a A+ for a coffee lover like me.

Good location, not far from the train station and Himeji castle. Very nice and clean hotel with fantastic onsen and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a large selection of different food. I would be happy to stay here again.

Great stay - chose to stop over at Himeji to spend the night rather than Kobe since the hotels in Kobe seemed a lot more expensive when I was trying to book a place for the night. Since I had the JR Pass, it was not a problem staying at Himeji for the night before moving on to Kobe. Also gave me the chance to walk around Himeji and take a look at the grand castle (more grand if it was not under its current state of reconstruction!)

Hi, we are came to Himeji on May 2019 We stay 1 night at Richmont Himeji Hotel, we are feel very comfortable here. The building is new. The staff are helpful and the size of the room is nice We have a great rest there, feel so comfortable. Hope can come back again 😁

We stayed at this cozy hotel the night before we headed for Kobe Airport. About 10 minutes after we checked out the next morning, we reached Himeji Bypass, which took us smoothly to Kakogawa Bypass and then to Daini-shimei Express Way. In just 80 minutes,we got to the airport. If the traffic had been a little heavier, it may have taken us much longer but we were very lucky on that day. I strongly recommend this hotel to those who would like to get around in their cars.

The room is really tiny. Once laying down two carry-on baggage, there is almost no room to walk. Bathroom counter is big enough to hold items. Although the breakfast at the hotel may not have as many entries as hotels in other major cities, the taste is really the best in my entire trip in kansai (Himeji, Kyoto, and Osaka). I even regret that I did not have my dinner there on the check-in day. The staff, like other hotels, are very courteous and helpful. The location is unbeatable. It is probably the closest one to the Himeji-jo (castle). The shopping strip is within walking distance (2-5 minutes). If I return to Himeji in the future, I will definitely come back to this Hotel, primarily for the breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at the Plaza Himeji Hotel. Checked in early and the staff held our bag giving us the opportunity to shop w/out having to take our luggage along with us. Great sauna area, very relaxing to soak and gave me a place to get ready in the morning allowing my wife full use of the room facilities :) I would stay at the Plaza if ever in the Himeji area again.

Staff were very helpful for all our needs. Better to be able to speak Japanese, as not much English is spoken.

We really love this hotel which located in a peaceful town near the Setouchi Inland Sea. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful, food has wide range of selection as well as seasonable ingredients. The sunset view was breath taking and it would a once-in-life experience if you were in their most famous onsen at that time, too!

The hotel is newly refurbished in a cool style that makes an interesting contrast with the traditional Japanese rooms. The view out to the sea is lovely. Ask for one of the corner rooms, 201 or 301 for an extended view. Coffee and lemon water in the lobby were nice touches and a soak in the hot bath is very relaxing.

Wifi in room does not work & no one can fix it. Frontdesk not helpful in terms of that wifi thing. please look into it.

i stayed overnight in himeji and found this hostel. i was able to put my bag at my bed even when i arrived earlier. the best was the host keep trying to give me food and even showed me a place for breakfast. i heard people in himeji is super nice and it is true!

Very clean and tiday Japanese room. Great futon and tatami. The staffs are helpful and super friendly even though we don't speak Japanese.

At night, the doors are locked and can only be accessed in a secret manner. Also, the hosts are very warm and kind. The guesthouse also has many information on hand about the area from tourist spots to train schedules to Japanese bath houses. I recommend this guesthouse in Himeji.

The hotel is right next to the JR and Shinkansen station. If you are heading towards tottori kan, it is a good choice to stay here. Also, breakfast is free but quite standard as normal Toyoko Inn in Japan

This is a love hotel, make sure you understand that. The staff seemed somewhat surprised to see a solo backpacker, but then was very friendly across the language barrier. My first room (306) smelled too much of smoke (they don't have non-smoking rooms), but the friendly staff let me change the room (to 505, much nicer) and gave me air freshener. Big double bed. The mattresses are terribly discoloured (in both rooms, like they had been in a flooded storage), they should really exchange those, but at the same time you don't sleep directly on them, there is a small mattress with sheets on top of that. The room is big, with TV that has videos (also action movies), no fridge (it's filled with drinks you'd have to pay for), hifi system, karaoke, good toilet and bathroom, vibrator next to the bed, free parking, late checkout. All in all, for 3400 yen, this is no doubt the best value room I've had in Japan so far. Nothing there is in English, and there are a lot of remotes, so if you don't speak/read the language, make sure you let the staff help you (at least with turning off the cheesy music).

Close to the castle, shops and restaurants. I'm a solo traveler who work remotely five days a week on USA time so solid WiFi is paramount.

This was a very nice booking. I'd stay here again if I were to visit Himeji in the future. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast buffet was nice, too.

We stayed at Himeji and visited different places in the region. The hotel is not too far from the station, with a convenient 10-15 min walk. It's off the main touristic areas, so it's fairly quiet at night. Rooms were clean, staff members were helpful and spoke good English. The structure is not outstanding, and has little to remember about, but overall, for the price, we deemed it a very fair treatment. We would recommend it to people caring for the budget and not looking for something special.

This guesthouse has beds for about 10 people including a private room that my bf and I had booked. the guesthouse is located on the shopping street that leads from the main station to the castle. Himeji castle is 2 blocks away. The evening was spent with the staff and other guests in the downsairs community area. Very welcoming, everyone was automatically included in the group. Highly recommend!

The hotel was really, really cheap when I booked it (perhaps because Himeji castle is undergoing reservations). The hotel is pretty close to the station, and within walking distance of Himeji castle. I had a pretty bad night, though, since the soundproofing is terrible and there are people talking loudly in the hallway at 2am. There are also PA announcments starting at about 7am. All of which will be fully audible in your room.

this is a love hotel, but it shouldn't bother you much (unless you're with children, then it's inappropriate), when you book through agoda, you get a room for an entire night, check in/check out is 15:00 which is convenient. the room is very big and fancy, there's a jacoozi in the bathroom, a massage chair, free adult channels on the TV. getting there is not very easy, there's a bus once an hour from himeji station, or you can walk 25 minutes from gokachu station

Located 15 mins away from Himeji castle, and quite straight forward to find. I stayed in Room 402, a twin room, which has a view (at an angle) of the Himeji castle. I find that the room and toilet are clean. Note that the hotel only has washing machines, but no dryer (even though there are notices claiming that there are dryers). I was most pleased by the staffs' attention and pleasant attitude, despite thier inability to speak english.

I've grown quite fond of the hip, sleek hostels & guesthouses that have started popping up all over. Himeji Green Hotel is not that. It is a very standard hotel, with no hip character or anything of the sort. It is exactly what you would expect from a very standard mid-range hotel. Great location, good price. I didn't get the breakfast or use the other facilities.

My partner and I had such a wonderful experience here. The staff went above and beyond, the food was phenomenal and the location was breathtaking!

Nice location: close to several convenient stores and 10 min walk to Himeji Station. The room, toilet and bathroom are kept very clean.
