Hua Hin / Cha-am hotels & places to stay

It was our first time to visit Hua Hin, we are grateful to have stayed in G Hua Hin. Their staff are really nice and helpful, helped us to get a daily rental car with driver for our half-day trip, as it is difficult to get a cab in Hua Hin, transportation is an issue, they have free shuttle to night market at 6pm too, which we would have joined if we haven't booked the car. The pool is very nice, even it is a bit close to the street, it is still very relaxing, and love their pool chairs!! They have some soaked nearby the pool edge, so when you get up, your legs are in the water, it feels wonderful if the sun burns you, you could just have your feet in the water for relief We have chosen to stay at the room with Jaccuzi, it is so nice that there is a stair near the Jaccuzi, you could just walk to the pool if you want to swim a bit (It looks like all Pool view jaccuzi is on 1/F). Definitely will recommend it to others!! We enjoyed it so much, and if you are a no-planner, it is good that, it is close to a mall and G Hua Hin is actually a mall by itself

It was good, however the flies can be irritating at times, breakfast could have some room for improvements nevertheless but for the price its decent and value for money.Wish that they had more trips for the shuttle bus service and longer duration for the evening schedule as 2 hours is not enough to slowly enjoy the night market and metered taxis in Hua Hin is hard to come by so be prepared to bargain when you take a tuk tuk or hop on to a private taxi. Upon arrival we managed to get a transport package deal which took us to our hotel from Soi Hua Hin 57 to Sunshine Hostel (day1), Sunshine Hostel to Santorini Park, Swiss Sheep Farm 2012, Plearnwan Eco Vintage Village and The Sea-Cret Garden Hua Hin (day 2), The Sea-Cret Garden Hua Hin to Sam Phan Nam Hua Hin Floating Market, Hua Hin Train Station and back to Soi Hua Hin 57 to catch the minivan transfer back to Bangkok. All in excluding the trip via Minivans from Bangkok to Hua Hin and back. The cost of the Hua Hin transport package deal cost 2200Baht. Which in our opinion is a good deal considering that I've read others being charged 1000-1600Baht by tuk tuk or taxi from their hotel to Santorini Park, Swiss Sheep Farm 2012 and back to their hotels only.

We were looking for a nice quiet location to recover from a very busy holiday period - and we found the perfect place with the Novotel Hua Hin Cha-Am Resort & Spa. First off, the property is located on the much quieter Cha-Am section. Next, all rooms face the Gulf so beautiful views of sunrise and moonrises. Next, the staff is very friendly and helpful. There's a very large pool and deck area that allows you to either be close to the pool "action" or a bit further away - including a sandy "beach" area overlooking the Gulf (there is, though, really no beach here - but that did not detract fron the property at all). Just a short walk outside the property are a number of small restaurants, bars, and shops that are very typical for Thailand. There are four restaurants on property (and a wonderful little wine bar on the roof - fantastic views). The only down side is that the beach side restaurant has a very limited menu that leaves just a little bit to be desired for that truly romantic dinner - that and a number of mosquitoes that joined us for dinner. The only other down side item (and this is being a bit picky) were the towels - a bit worn and frayed. Other than those two items, we highly recommend this property and WILL be heading back when we once again need a break from the rat race here in the city.

After our 3hrs ride from BKK to Hua Hin, finally reach the destination. Some of the hotel staff's knew how to speak Mandarin and well spoken English. We received welcome drink when we check-in. While waiting for the room ready, we had our lunch at the poolside. Super love the view and our deluxe room with sea view. We had alot of photo taking around the hotel area. The breakfast is nice. It simply just grab and you can visit the night market.

The hotel located between Cha-am and Hua Hin so you can either enjoy at Cha-am or Hua Hin. Big room and Good Seaview with fully room amenities & services. Not too far from the beach you can walk or take the hotel shuttle to beach and to Hua Hin Market. The room are clean, new, comfort. Breakfast are fresh & good. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Some room can access direct to the swimming pool.

As titled this is a brand new hotel, there isn't a sign from the main street to this hotel. Basically its next to Hua Hin Hospital coming down from Hua Hin Town towards Cha-Am. There's no sign on Phetkasem Rd (note to manager of hotel), you only see it once you turn in to soi 10. Hotel is not on the beach or tourist area, its basically in the middle of the main road between Cha-Am - Hua Hin. So if you want to get to anywhere you better have a rental or other means of transportation. There were only 5-6 rooms occupied when I checked in. So its very nice and quite. You seem to own the whole hotel complex. For The room, the finishing is OK and not really a 4-star. For me its more 3 stars, and as other reviewers the AC is really LOUD and also cannot get up to speed in terms of cooling. So better leave the key on when leaving the room unless you want to come back to a sauna. Swimming pool is small so I did not even bother, but do book a room with the jacuzzi on the terrace. Very nice for a quick dip. Breakfast was not a buffet style, understandable due to the number of guests they are still just opened recently. But with that the cook your own plate of A.B.F which is aplenty and very nice and fresh, the cooking lady even came out to greet us and ask about the food, which to me is a very nice gesture. Recommend this hotel if you are on transit or short stay in Hua Hin and plan to look around town/beach thus not staying much in-room. Not recommended if you want to stay and enjoy hotel facilities and all.

Stayed here before and visited 2years later, really enjoyed stay again. Resort with everything on site, beach, 2 pools, many restaurants, tennis, gym. There are also few (quiet) bars/restaurants 5mins walk away if you want to eat somewhere else. Location is inbetween cha am and hua hin so can't walk to town, but taxi available for 200/300bht.

We stayed at The Lapa for 3 nights. We were impressed by their commitment to guest satisfaction. First, the staff came immediately to help me take the luggage once we showed up in the road. Second, they were having construction and they made it up for offering daily snack and fruits in the restaurant in the afternoon.Mostly the hotel would ask you to "understand" but The Lapa went one step further. There was barely any noise. Third, at one night, the door lock failed. They quickly attended to the porblem. On the last day, we asked them to help find a shuttle to Sheraton in Cha-am. Surprisingly, the receptionist asked the management & offered us free shuttle as they wanted to apologize for the door failure. Actually, we were not even bothered by this incident but they did try to make it up. This is really a BIG plus. Fourth, we were offered upgrade! Buffet breakfast were offered daily, even on weekday. For a boutique hotel, I would say their selection was pretty good. I liked the pool which was big and comfortable. The pool had shallow section. So kids would be safe to play as well. For the room, the bathtub was really big. With the high ceiling and large area of the bathroom, it was very relaxing to soak into it. Daily the room was cleaned perfectly. There was free shuttle to Cicada (only fri-sun), clocktower (daily to the night market) and the Khao Takiab (daily). We stayed in Sheraton later on. Dull faces and the staff even didn't know how to escort us to take the elevator (no signage) when checking out with heavy luggages. With that comparison, the service I experienced in The Lapa was already truly exceptional and from their heart. With all these pluses, we love this hotel and will 100% stay there again whenever we come to Hua Hin again.

We stayed 2 nights at the Grand Suite in the 3rd floor of the main building of this small resort hotel which came with 2 spacious bedrooms (one with bathtub and the other with shower), spacious living and dining rooms and a balcony with the view of this resort's impressive swimming pool and beach from the living room. Have to pass through the resort restaurant to get into the lift to bring us to the room which was no issue. Hua Hin's night market is reachable by walking no more than 15 minutes or by tuk-tuk at the cost of 100 THB for no more than 5 minutes. Try Chao Lay, Hua Hin's best recommended seafood restaurant near the night market area. Use Hua Hin Cab, the best taxi service in town to explore Hua Hin and Cha-Am for 10 hours a day at 2200 THB. A family mart is also very close to the resort for 3 minutes walking. Overall, it was indeed a very nice family friendly resort for leisure and holiday in Hua Hin.

Every thing is recommendable, from the rooms, price, environment, facilities, staff, breakfast and location. It is quite far from Hua hin center but they have a free shuttle for clients. Most of the staff are warm and helpful, but they can improve their breakfast a bit more. See you next time. We're going back with some friends.

I was travelling with my husband and 4 year old daughter. We had an awesome stay for Royal Pavilion. Definitely the best hotel in Hua Hin if you are planning for a holiday here. The hotel room is value for money, clean and looks very new. I think the housekeeping department made a very good job here. Location is just perfect. Just a few steps to Family Mart, a few minutes to Hua Hin Night Market and restaurants for food. Staffs are very friendly and soft spoken. You may hire Private cars to your desired attractions through the hotel too.The swimming pool was nice as well. And yes, the Sky Bar on the rooftop was a very relaxing if you want to grab some air. Thumbs Up and will come again if visit Hua Hin.

We found Hisea Hua Hin Hotel by chance when we we're talking to a local across the street from the hotel. We told her that we're searching for another hotel to stay at for the remaining 3 more weeks of vacation in Hua Hin. She immediately pointed to Hisea Hua Hin Hotel across the street which according to her, just barely opened for business. We decided to check it out right there and then, and we were lucky to meet the owner himself who showed us around. Hisea Hua Hin Hotel is definitely a jewel of a find, for its highly detailed facilities, tasteful decor, furnishings, amenities, friendly and helpful staffs, and for the price! Additionally, the location is perfect and within walking distance to a lot of Hua Hin's city center places of interest, and the beautiful Hua Hin beach! We've looked at many hotels in the area prior to visiting Hisea Hua Hin Hotel and nothing beats Hisea Hua Hin Hotel for what it offers, the price, location, and the staff. Being that it's brand new, it's absolutely immaculate! Although it's low season and therefore it's not fully booked, I see housekeeping clean every rooms everyday! The beds are the most comfortable we've ever found during our 3 months of travel in Asia, and the owner accommodates our needs to the best that he can. Case in point, I wanted an electric fan in my room due to my special need for it, and he happily obliged without question although the A/C in his hotel works perfectly. The staff are very attentive and helpful, and the owner is a hands on kind of a businessman. He's always around and can easily be reached and easy to talk to. Now, this is not the Hilton or Centara, but it doesn't have the high price of those 2 either and for all the quality service and amenities Hisea Hua Hin offers, it just can't be beat! Lastly, I would like to add that I have worked for big 5 star hotels in Las Vegas as a V.I.P. Associate for 5 years, therefore, I know a jewel of a find when I see one when it comes to hotels, amenities,

Cha am is mainly a Thai resort, quiet, great beach, great seafood everywhere and friendly. Great value hotel if you are here during the week. Super large, bright rooms with balcony overlooking the sea about 100 meters away. Good gym, nice swimming pools but much smaller compared to the well-taken photos. Breakfast is very expensive here - many cheaper options are just outside along the beach. Transport is regular and easy to and from Bangkok and Hua Hin, with three minibus companies and the Government bus stop near what everyone calls the "Intersection" in Cha Am, which is a 5 minute motorbike taxi to the beach, usually down a road with brilliant buffet all you can eat seafood restaurents for around 200 baht!! There is nightlife, but it's nearly all along one soi (Soi 1), but the whole place is what relaxing beach holidays should be about, and this hotel is a great place to base yourself.

i found this hotel in the hua hin/cha-am listings but in reality, this hotel is quite far from hua hin, in pranburi. but its distance away from hua hin turned out to be one of the things i liked the most. this hotel (villa) is more like a time share where the developers rent out the properties on the owners' behalf. the villas are quite new, tastefully decorated, and quite comfortable, even if most of the furnishings were from ikea. the wifi in my villa did not work like the staff said, and was spotty. there are tv racks in the bedrooms but no tvs, and ther was no place to hang towels in the bathrooms, as well as not ventilation system. one is forced to open the windows, which were large enough to see through or even crawl through. the villa has a set of fees or fines for "extra services". one of them was thb200/person if the dishes were not done. our first night there, we used one cup to drink coca cola which was left out. they did not charge us for the dishes, but they left the used cup untouched. i guess they would rather have a potential ant problem rather than wash one glass. the thai staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. they made the stay quite enjoyable.

If there was a choice of six-star to rate, I would give them six stars. We went to Hua Hin to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. The staff welcomed us with a specially decorated room. We were very well attended by well-trained staff from the moment we stepped out of the car until we came back home. The breakfast was also very good. Before I left the hotel, I wrote down a little complaint about the mattress (too firm for me) and left the note in the room. I didn't think anyone will care. (Well, I did this to other hotels before and no one seems to care.) However, the staff e-mail me later saying they are sorry that I was upset and told me I can ask for a softer mattress next time I visit. Overall, I would say that although the building itself isn't as luxury as other famous 5-star hotels, its service is definitely at a luxury level.

This hotel is a bargain....a minute walk to the beach....I recommend you eat at the restaurants where the fishing harbor is located...fresh...good....and good prices...you can rent a bicycle to go there....look for all the colorful fishing boats...and you will be at the right place...you can watch them unload their catch...The hotel is nice...older...but maintained....was on the 20th floor...walked to the beach....there is a restaurant to the left as you walk to the beach from the back of the hotel...good food...clean...good price...Cha-Am is for Thai tourists..not a lot of farungs or bar scene...Hua Hin can take van from town for 60 baht...the problem is they want 200 baht to go less than 2 km to town...very quite area...relaxing..stayed 10 days....you can get there via van...very reasonable and fast from Victory Monument is bkk....this is not like Hua Hin...not crowded....easy going..if you want peace and quite ....and a nice beach...great...hotel is very reasonable and pleasant...you will not go wrong with this place.

I can see the ocean when I lie in bed. The room was nice, and we were welcomed by a plate of cookies. The beach is very nice. Since the hotel is a bit far away from town, the beach is quiet, clean and uninterrupted. A shoal is formed after the rising tide in the morning, which makes it the most beautiful view along the beach of HUA HIN. The hotel is a bit remote, but there are FREE shuttle bus services to town every afternoon. The breakfast is nice. All in all, it was a pleasant and relaxing journey in HUA HIN.

This was my second holiday in Hua Hin previously staying in Let's Sea next door 3 yrs ago and all I'm going to say is the Staff are what makes this hotel not that there is anything wrong with the hotel far from it however from the Reception staff to the ladies cleaning the rooms during the day nothing is too much trouble to make your stay more relaxing so thank

Really nice villa in Hua Hin that is more or less pretty affordable! Firstly, they were kind enough to allow us to change our booking dates Free of Charge when we got Agoda to call them as we had make a huge mistake on our booking dates. We were treated with 5 star service from the staff from the minute we arrived till the minute we checked out. The pool was nice to take a dip in although it was freezing most of the time. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious. Breakfast was brought to our room everyday with a smile! Location was good as well as you're within walking distance to 711's, a few different night markets, restaurants. There's also this HUGE famous outdoor food court that's a 200m walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would 100% recomend it! Quiet and everything is an easy tuk tuk or Grab ride away!

We chose this hotel as it seemed to offer modern, clean accommodation at a very reasonable rate and was an easy drive from Bangkok for a long weekend. It proved to be exactly this. The rooms are set out in 2 blocks, which although close together as is often the case in Cha am or Hua Hin, were screened from each other with lots of greenery. Our room had a seated balcony which felt as if it was in the treetops! The breakfast was ok, and staff were very helpful. The hotel is directly opposite the beach, which in August is not particularly busy but must be packed at certain times of the year, if you take into account the number of umbrellas along the beachfront. The beach itself is not very wide or as clean as many of the other beaches we have been to in Thailand, but satisfactory for a short stay. Cha am is nowhere near as large or busy as Hua Hin but preferable to us, so we will definitely be taking more short breaks here and would stay at this hotel again.

long time (10 years) staying at least annually in cha-am. first time at the tara mantra resort. booked 2 rooms in b section which were above expectation for the price in chaam. in comparison with similar resorts on cha-am beach the actual rooms were better maintained, bigger, better cable options, free wi-fi that actually works in the room and with beach views. another positive is the resort was disability friendly, which is not too often the case. also undercover secured parking was excellent. as expected the restaurants were good and staff of good quality and close access to the beach. only dissappintment were the size of the pools in comparison with other resorts. as main attraction is swimming and access to beach not a huge problem. an excellent choice for families with younger and older children to stay in cha-am.

From being met off the bus from Bangkok Airport to the moment we left, we were made to feel very special indeed - we wish to say thank you to every single member of the team who was so helpful and courteous and friendly towards us. We travelled to Hua Hin to visit the Wildlife Friends of Thailand animal sanctuary (also highly recommended) and we only wish we had had the time to spend longer here. Highlights were: the beautiful singing of Orlanda and Emy on both evenings; the 2 fabulous dinners and 2 buffet breakfasts we are; our 6 am walk up the hill to visit the temple (and hundreds of monkeys); my wife's jacuzzi's as we stayed in the annex building; the rooftop sunbathing area; the fabulous swimming pool; the walks along the golden beach. But as other reviewers have said, the attention to detail and excellent customer service from Joy and her team was the best we have ever experienced, wherever we have stayed in the world. Everything about our 45 hour stay was perfect.

we talked with a local guy during the trip to Hua Hin and he said this is the best hotel in Hua Hin. Indeed , it is. Very good and polite people. It is best for honeymood and fully relaxing holiday. Just spend half day in Monkey Moutains by taxi or by public bus ( green) and half of the time on white sandy beach which you could reach there with your pajama on and take a deep breath on the beachfront in the early morning with dawn light shinning into your eyes. !! Awesome!!!!

so far my favorite hotel in the hua-hin/cha-am area. the beach-view villas were really nice, spacious and very good air conditioned. this is a reasonable priced hotel with a great location for those who seek quiet and comforting vacations. the food was above average and cheap, and the service and staff was excellent! they also arrange for massage, trips, taxi to the city and motorized water sports if you so desire.

The resort was provided as an absolutely comfortable environment and very nice welcome staff. My mum also loved their breakfast and private swimming poor. The rooms were done as a lovely decoration with worldwide standard facilities, even in the bathrooms....I did like the bathroom door actually. The staff and the owners which are present during our stay created a very nice atmosphere, we feel more like at home. The location of main swimming poor, restaurant and lobby were quite remote, however the pickup and drop off contributed by the resort's EV golf cars perfectly. The beds are very nice and comfy, their restaurant was very good, we just had a great time there. It is a very beautiful place and we love to come back again. This is a great place for relaxation, for those who look for peaceful atmosphere... highly recommended... :)

Cha Am has little in the way of nightlife but it’s a great beach resort town. 99%locals who look like they come for a day or two. The beach is very nice. There are sun beds but they are pretty much packed together. We opted for the hotel pool with long walks on the beach. The staff at the hotel were great. Ton was there too take care of us and the hotel and restaurant staff really went out of their way. The room is a good size. We were on the second floor, recommended, and we had a very large private balcony with a chair and Day bed. At night when a bit cooler we relaxed there or at the pool. For us this was an extended rest stop. After two months on the go in Indonesia we needed to recharge our batteries. It was perfect for that. A decent breakfast each morning. Pool. Beach. LOTS of restaurants with a 7/11 next door. It was great. We went to Hua Hin one day and we much prefer the much more tranquil Cha Am and Bann Pantai. If you go to Hua Hin go by taxi both ways.

Clean new hotel in Hua Hin. Nice spacious rooms, clean, huge grounds. Staff was amenable to requests, which helped our make our stay better. The location is fine if you rent a vehicle/scooter, however a bit out of the way if you don't. The hotel also offers shuttles into town 3 times a day which makes it a bit easier.

Like the exterior and interior designs a lot. location is far from Hua Hin and Cha-am city centers so it's great if you want to stay away from the crowd. beach outside the hotel was scattered with shells, it's not the best portion of the beach but further up north is better. the one bad thing about the roo is that the bed is composed of two twin beds, so if you go as a couple it's not the most ideal arrangement with a small gap between the beds. we also stayed at another hotel near hua hin and it's a lot more convenient.

5 min driving from Hua Hin airport. Choose this hotel due to our early morning return flight. There is family mart nearby 5min walking distance. 10min driving to Hua Hin night markets, 20min driving to Cha Am beach. Staff is friendly, hotel breakfast buffet is good with variety choices, rooftop infinity pool is small but consider good for this small hotel. This hotel has gym room as well. In conclusion, this hotel is new, small but have everything you may need in travel. Highly recommended.

very nice hotel. you can dive from your balcony into swimming pool. service is excellent, staff is very friendly. plenty of restaurants in the area. the beach is clean but water is not cristal blue because of sand. on weekends a lot of people come from bangkok to cha-am beach. there are many taxi services near the hotel. it takes about 15 minutes to drive to hua hin. price is one way. to bangkok airport 2,5 hours, price $80 (have one extra hour because of traffic in bangkok!)
