"Stayed at Limi Inn for our brief trip to Huangshan. The perfect place to stay the night before an early ascent of the mountain to beat the crowds (we went on a weekday in August and the mountain was beautiful at its opening around 6.30am but by midday was SO busy!) The host not only picked us up from the station promptly and for free, but also kept our bags so we didn't have to lug them up the mountain and dropped them back with us for our return to the station. Plus, he dropped us off at the bus to the cable cars at 5.45am so we could be the first up the mountain! It is a 2 minute drive/20 minute walk from the Tangkou bus station. Overall the rooms were nice and did the job - but the service really made all the difference - the best hospitality we have had in China!! Thank you!!"

"This is a boutique hotel housed in a Anhui style building. It is clean, comfortable and staff very friend. Hotel staff helps with trekking route up Mt Huangshan. Hotel is located about 15 min walk to bus station that brings you to the entrance to Mt Huangshan. The rooms at the back will get you face-to-face with nature with the slope of the hill close-up. Rooms at the front faces the small road and canal. Canal is quite nice at end. From the canal you can see the Lianhua peak of Mt Huangshan. There are rows of restaurants along the river but this area is not the Tangkou town centre. Town centre is about 15-20 min away by foot."

"We must say ‘thank you’ to all the friendly and helpful staff, each of them did his/her best to help us in planning the hiking route, booking of hot spring ticket, and pick us up at town center, all made us enjoy our time fully! We love the comfortable bed linen, good quality quilt and mattress, thus we had sound sleep after a whole day’s walk on the beautiful Huangshan! "

"We stayed at this hotel twice. This is an excellent place to stay if you want to climb Huangshan mountain; it offers everything you need including a decent room to stay, great location and excellent staff members. It is located in 汤口 (Tangkou) which is the major tourist down on the base of the mountain (it is not on the mountain itself) and basically the gateway to Huangshan. The hotel is next to the major tourist bus stop (confusingly called 黄山风景区汽车站 (Huangshan scenic area bus station) opposed to something like 汤口站 (Tangkou bus station)), making it very easy to get to the hotel whether you come via long distance bus from a distant large city such as Shanghai/Hangzhou or from nearby places such as Huangshan North Train station or Tunxi. The same tourist bus stop also runs a regular (every 10 minutes during peak times) bus from Tangkou to the cable car entrance on Huangshan. The staff members are excellent in the amount of effort they put in to help us with planning our trip up the mountain. They gave us personalised itinerary, tourist map on how to climb the mountain, cable car closing times, recommended route, estimate time for walks and costs. They also sold us entrance tickets and cable car tickets so we didn't have to wait in line the day after. In addition to this, they arranged a long-distance bus from their hotel to Shanghai as well as look after our luggage when we climbed the mountain (we stayed a day on the actual mountain). I can't say if their English was good or not; it seemed they preferred to speak in Chinese (I can understand a little bit of it) Rooms were clean, fairly well contained and fairly quiet. Earplugs were provided which helped reduce the sound from adjacent noisy rooms. Bathroom, towels and bedsheets were clean. Interior looked a bit dated but nothing too tired. Bed was hard as other reviewers have noted; for me this was not a problem but it's similar to sleeping on thick carpet flooring. Complementary fruit (two apples) was provided as"
