Traveler impressions of Jaipur
City Palace & Forts are really worth to visit. NOTE: careful in hiring taxi/cab/car. They ask 5 times more money from foreigners.
Jaipur is a good place to see if you have no previous experience of Rajasthan, it gives you a bit of the state's history, culture, cuisine, architecture, climate, et cetera.
The city is packed with traffics, people, noise and pollution like any other cities in India but everyone is friendly as usual.
There is a lot of historical sights in Jaipur. I would highly recommend having a guide to show the sights and get the information that is needed rather than just looking at sights without knowledge.
Many shopping area and historical place for site seeing. Can buy more valuable Jem according to your horoscopes
Lively, interesting city with remarkable architecture, great shopping and much to see. I recommend Galta-ji Monkey Temple as both a religious site and a place to enjoy wildlife.
Newer areas are OK. Old part very crowded, noisy and not good for walking round. Amber fort, observatory and palace of the winds worth a visit.
Jaipur is an Old city with Rajput heritage and is the capital of modern rajasthan, It showcasts it rich and vibrant culture, colourful dresses, the jewellery industry and the various bazaars.
city worth visiting, better to leave for sight seeing early morning as most of attarctions closes by 4;30pm -better to engage cab for whole day to visit major attractions
The city is welcoming and easy to navigate by tuk-tuk. There are many temples and forts to explore together with factories/workshops that demonstrate fabric-printing and jewellery-making.
I stayed only 1 night in Jaipur, but I've been to quite a few interesting places. There're lots of culture or many historical places to visit especially Amer Fort and Jantar Mantar.
The pink city is now suffering from heavy traffic and high air pollution levels. No more camels walking in the streets.
Amber fort by elephant up was outstanding! Haha Mahal, Naomi block printing museum, and step well just made such an outstanding sight seeing day.
Good place to see old monuments, for shopping , sight seeing and eating good food. You will enjoy if you have 2- 3 days which you will need to cover various places in Jaipur.
Jaipur is developed city and more developing at a very fast pace, well planned city according to vastu.
The city possesses many palaces of interest and worthy of viewing, the lake and several forts of which the Amber Fort is truly excellent.
I would say that you should visit Jaipur at least once. The forts take you back to the 16th century, great architecture, forts all ingrained in the culture of India.
The markets and shopping opportunities are plentiful and varied. An excellent place to pick up bargains
Jaipur is a city of palace & fort's, one of the best places to visit is nahargarh fort and lake palace, visit these places especially in evening as they amazing and view from nahargarh in evening is just "voila".
Nice city with older looks and kept till now without any major change. But traffic to be regularised so that it is smooth & not irritating.
its an old chaotic city with very poor infrastructure. only nearby areas of jaipur has religious places of interest.
It was my first visit to Jaipur though we had an extra day but if you are visiting Jaipur then it's only a matter of 2 days to cover all the major attractions and Bazar as well.
Jaipur is one of the jewels in India's tourism crown. Wonderful palaces, forts and historical buildings.
Must do are a visit to the City Palace and the Amber Fort. Don't miss the trip on an elephant to the Amber Fort! Jaipur also offers great shopping opportunities, for Rajasthani clothing and saris, bangles as well as beautiful jewelry (Gem Palace, Royal Gems & Arts are two of the best jewelry stores in Jaipur)
Jaipur the capital city of of the Indian state of Rajasthan, is one of the most vibrant and colorful cities of India.
I've been to Jaipur before in summer and although it was hot it was more pleasant. Winter has this grey fog that isn't great for photos, we missed blue skies and sun.
Jaipur is a place to catch an insight about traditional Hindu culture of India, specially the Rajputana kings and their way of living.
There are too many historical places to see at Jaipur like, Museums, Jaigarh Fort, Amber Fort, Hawa Mahel, Jal Mahel etc.
