Suryagarh Jaisalmer
Sam Sand Dunes,Jaisalmer - View on map
"I wish Jaisalmer had a direct flight, just so that I can visit Suraygarh again. Beautiful property with exceptional service. Specially the buffet and the serving staff. Property was full, still there was enough space and service was good. Seems like good service is build into the culture and everyone was really good. Staff brought out breakfast items that were not on the menu, which was great. Would like to call out Manjeet for great seevice. Only thing that was lacking is giving us info on activities provided by Suraygarh. Like safari or dinner at dunes, I asked for infor repeatedly but no one reached out. Rest was great and I will definitely recommend anyone who is going to Jaisalmer."

Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa

"Stayed for only one night, after our flight from Delhi to Jaisalmer was cancelled by Spicejet at the last minute. The airport opened for commercial flights just a week or two ago, so that wasn't a good sign. But the Marriott Jaisalmer is an exceptional hotel. Admittedly, the hotel did not seem anywhere near full, but the personal attention given by staff was (almost) overwhelming. I stay in many hotels for business and pleasure, and their service was second to none in some 40 years of travel.."

Sky Desert Safari Camp Jaisalmer
Sam Sand Dunes,Jaisalmer - View on map
"I am happy to say that service was good with the hotel staff and proprietor Hanif has helped us in and around to see the places with his vehicle. Happy to come back and even evening camp was well organised and it is away from the city with No human population (People who keep honking in cities). very silent and you can really enjoy with Kids and family. staff in the evening camp is really awesome and have good welcoming nature, which we wanted in today's competitive industry. evening they will take you to camel safari and Morning Jeep safari, really good have and enjoy away from the corporate world. over all stay was good and Hanif is really cooperative in terms of helping and getting along with the customer. But remember the best time to come is always October end to till February, other wise you will get to see real sun pitch. Thank you and hope this review helps the others to come here again. I want to Thank one of the hotel staff Umeed Ali is really awesome in helping us. Thanks,"

More about Jaisalmer

The Golden City known as Jaisalmer is a city of extreme interest for those who want to feel as if they stepped back in time. Dominated by a living fort and located near the Thar Desert, Jaisalmer sets the scene for an enchanting adventure. Limited flights to a military airstrip in the city provide a narrow gateway by air, so trains, buses, and taxis are the more common ways to arrive. The truly adventurous could opt for one of the city’s famous came trips – a 14 day journey that starts from Bikaner.

Jaisalmer is very much a tourist destination, so much so that most inhabitants of the city only stay there for the few months of the high season. Taking the city on foot is easily done thanks to the many sites and the small town feel. Jaisalmer Fort is the centerpiece and is a lively site. Inside the walls, travelers will find the havelis of rich merchants and several lookout points over the desert. Within the walls are also seven beautifully carved temples knowns as the Jain Temples.

Outside the splendors of the fort is Gadisar Lake and Suryagarh, an impressive hotel with views that can at least be enjoyed over a cup of tea. Camel and jeep safaris are a very popular activity that can stretch on for days and give an incredible experience in the desert. Plenty of accommodation can be found within the vicinity of Jaisalmer Fort, and there is another concentration available in the city center.
