Traveler impressions of Johor Bahru
It is best to have own transport as Johor is quite a big state, travelling in JB alone takes quite amount of time in travelling itself.
Travel by public bus or taxi (by meter and by JB law), you can go any where and any places you want.you can get a map and destinations of interests from any Hotel in JB and Malaysia.
This was my 1st time stay at this hotel and was very comfortable stay there. Hello KItty place was just right beside this hotel and also Legoland adventure you can go via Hotel free shuttle service taking just 7mins from Hotel.
The food around Johor is awesome. From cafes to Bak Ku Teh. Sun Fa Bak Kut Teh is my must try everytime I enter Johor.
Actually above impression not only for johor bahru .. Johor state was the best area for all activities
This is a city located new to popular country. Numerous global corporate were operating in the city and it has well transportation access to Singapore being a good transit hub for Malaysia or foreigners.
I love good food in jb, hawker style. Relaxation activities are value for money, spas, pedicures and manicure services.
Johor Bahru is a city in Malaysia near Singapore. Cost of living is not too high compared to Singapore.
A good transit point to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur before the causeway. Good food, but expect Singapore price.
A very traffic jam city. Lack of public transportation. It is inconvenient to walk the city by foot as there is no walk path and it is not so safe.
Overall it would be a great city , if all the on going development complete or the airport has more international flights
I think the biggest factor would be about the safety aspect. I feel very worried about my car, my phone, my wallet, my 8year old son, my beautiful wife, so how can I be relaxed and enjoy my visit to JB.
Famous Attraction = LEGOLAND MALAYSIA Anything conecting with bus (JB Sentral to Explore Johor Bahru) and Larkin Terminal to conect with another City.
Be comfortable with traffic jams and have a large dose of patience. Roads may be more chaotic then what you are usually accustomed to.
Visit hello kitty town, it nice and cool inside the building. And legoland, take wet and dry park, worth the enjoyment.
There are a potentials yet to be explored and expanded in JB. For example, street hygiene can be better maintained, and the old buildings can be refurbished or simply repainted to provide a better impression for tourists.
Traffic can be quite tricky depending on the time and weather. Handy to have GPS/Waze at hand 'cos the taxi drivers even get lost trying to find our hotel.
Worth it for Singaporean to do shopping & Spa in JBCC and City Square as it is convenient and near to the immigration check point.
A place to get a nice and cheap seafood at Orang Asli Village at Perling. A recommended family vacation at Legoland Malaysia, Hello Kitty Town and the Waterfall at Kota Tinggi.
There is a lot of good food you can find in Johor Bahru. The most I like is the Orang Asli Village which is at Perling, at there you can find 4 seafood restaurant which offer a very cheap and nice food.
JB has been trasforming in the recent years. Due to the establishments of several family themed parks, the city is more attractive to tourists from all over the regions.
generally i think is quite ok as compare to singapore because in singapore everything is quite costly.
NOT MUCH DIFFERENT WITH OTHER TOWN IN MALAYSIA. SHOPPING, EATING & SIGHTSEING WAS GOOD. NOTHING MUCH.
A place with lots of nice foods in reasonable price. Is a must to try out the thai massage or spa here.
Very nice place to stay. So quiet. But a lil bit hot more than KL. Not good for honeymoner. Ok for backpacker and couples.
Up and coming city with a lot of attraction for all type visitors. With focus of federal goverment towards Iskandar as southern region growth area.
its a location that has many hidden attractions. Many locations that serve very good local food at a very reasonable price.
discovery more beach and food for Malaysian to choice in where that when entry johor look like your are in Singapore
Keep trying. A lot more discipline is required of the bus drivers and companies plying your routes, JB.
plan your trip for few theme park in Johor Bahru, shopping, cafe hoping and trivel to Mersing for nice beaches and island.
