Mandurah is an interesting place, there are some fabulous restaurants and eateries, good live music. The crab festival is a fabulous time to visit Mandurah, the canoes on the water way are fun.
There is plenty of activities for families and also for a romantic get away. Several of the accommodation places are severely over priced especially when there is no service, dining, 24 hour attendance etc.
As it was late night shopping on Thursday, we spent some time in the mall in the town centre. We didn't realise that the restaurants at the bay area (Dolphin Drive) would close so early.
Reached there about 8.30pm and the restaurants were closed for the night. Couldn't find any dinner. Ended up eating fast food for dinner. Was looking forward to dinner facing the ocean.
Some great pubs with some very good pub food. Ravenswood pub is wonderful and worth a visit, it overlooks a river and can be romantic sitting with a wine with someone special.
Great area for families - there is the ocean, the estuary, a fair and aquatic centre. I found my visit wonderful and the people friendly. Had a wonderful time at the bowling club in Dower street, excellent meals that are great value.
Good place for shopping and sight seeing. People are nice. The only downside of our visit was we failed to see any dolphon during hour 1 hour dolphin trip at mandurah.
Mandurah is a very family orientated place that offers everything you need and want. Most of the major things and sites are with-in walking distance.
It's perfect for families, couples or just a group of friends. Mandurah is a relaxing place but also fun. It's hard to get bored. I am from Perth and one day I might look at moving to mandurah. Check it out!
Mandurah is a nice sea-side town with good coffee cafes and seafood cafes. The harbour precinct is very pleasant with lots of good walking paths.
A very attractive city in a scenic location, however it could have been on the Gold Coast. Easy to get around and excellent i-site.
The city foreshore is well designed and interesting. Well worth a visit and there is plenty to see in the surrounding district.
lovely walks, kids playground, fishing, boat rides on the river, Mandurah theatre, plenty of cafes, food outlets,/restaurants.
Wasterfront shops need to be tidied up and waste areas of land need to be smartly developed but no high rise buildings.
They would spoil Mandurah. Also the Marina is big enough and very attractive at the moment. People who feed seagulls should be fined. Seagulls are a menace and mess up the waterfront areas. Nice selection of restaurants, service needs to be smartened up. Mandurah is quite quiet and quaint and that makes it attractive. The cruises are good. Dolphins can be seen everywhere along the foreshores.
very laid back city. has a retirement home vibe to it which is cool if you want to escape from the bustle of city life.
restaurants are adequate though do note that the selection greatly diminishes as evening approaches. so try to get to your dinner place by 7pm.
Highly recommend doing the canal cruises to spot dolphins and admire canal living. Beaches are good too.
