Atlantis Hotel Melbourne
Melbourne CBD,Melbourne - View on map
"We always like to book hotels close to public transport to enable us to get about with great ease. Whilst not our favourite Melbourne Hotel, Best Western Atlantis ticks all the boxes for us in terms of being close to the Airport shuttle, free city loop tram (corner of spencer street and la trobe) that will loop around to the majority of the tourist attractions in Melbourne. The tram stops directly outside some attractions and just a short walk to others. We arrived at 11am and didn't,t expect an early check in and were quite prepared to leave our luggage with the concierge til check in time whilst we explored Melbourne but we were given an early check in which was very helpful. The Queen Executive we had was a reasonable sized room, writing desk, two seat sofa, coffee table, fridge, tea/ coffee making, safe, hair dryer, alarm clock - all the things we required. The room was clean and comfortable and very good value. The hotel is NOT located in the hub of Melbourne and there are no stylish eateries on the doorstep but supermarkets, 7-11 and various fast food outlets and other clothing outlets can be found in or near the Southern Cross terminal just across the road and less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. So easy to go further afield on the free tram or just pick up a Myki card at any 7-11 or most stations and load it with whatever credit you require to use the train, bus and tram system - just easy as:D). The hotel also has an indoor pool and reasonably priced breakfast though we didn't,t have chance to use those facilities on this trip. We,d definitely stay again."

Oaks Melbourne on Collins Hotel

"OaksOnCollins is one the best hotel I have stayed in a while. The location is very central and convenient with walking distance to the Crown Entertainment Complex, Southern Cross Station and main shopping areas. The hotel facilities are exceptional with a well equiped gym, lap pool, sauna and security card access elevator to room which give a peace of mind. The room has beautiful views of Melbourne CBD with comfortable beds and couch to fit 3 people comfortably. The availibility of kitchen ammenities with communal laundry facilities makes this hotel a real home away from home."

Arrow On Swanston Apartments
Melbourne CBD,Melbourne - View on map
"I'd read quite a few reviews before heading to Melbourne and was a little apprehensive about what I'd find at 'Arrow'. Now, having returned home I'm puzzled as to what the negative comments were all about! While the foyer could do with an upgrade, the location is ideal for looking around Melbourne (a 5 minute walk to Lygon Street, a 12 minute walk to Queen Vic Markets), the staff were very helpful and polite, the room was small but clean and had everything that I needed and the bathroom, while the size of a normal en-suite, was more than sufficient for taking a shower etc. The bedroom was small but the reality is, you sleep there! It doesn't have to be enormous! The sheets were crisp and clean, the mirrored wardrobe had hangers, and there was a desk/table as well as a bedside table, great bedside light and clock. While the bed was a little firm for my liking the pillows were good. Although there was some noise at night, what else would anyone expect from a hotel in the middle of a major city, next to a main thoroughfare, on a Friday and Saturday night? The noise came from outside and when the windows were closed, the noises all but disappeared. If the temperature was a problem, there was an air-conditioner. All in all, the apartment was ideal for what I wanted. If you want 5 star then stay in a 5 star establishment but if you want something at a reasonable price which is clean, convenient and comfortable, then stay at 'Arrow on Swanston'. I'll be back and would have no problems recommending it to others."

Pan Pacific Melbourne

"Those staffs are very professional and helpful before we step into the hotel. They responded to our inquiry very fast and able to provide us with all the services. The hotel location is good, just next to the DFO, which you can easily find a good outlet and shopping. It's not very far away from the town, but you have to expect a little bit walking distance. It's a very good hotel for those parents! They gave my son some free toy and chit chat with us like a family. Yes, their facility might not be the best but I can share with you is this is my best hotel experience ever in my whole life!! Strongly recommend this to be your first choice hotel in Melbourne!!"

PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport

"Very convenient with a covered overpass to the terminal. A tad pricey vs comparable hotels in melbourne but you pay for the convenience. I paid more for a tarmac view room which was more of a terminal view so not that great. Aim for a higher floor i guess."

"This was my second stay at the Citigate Hotel in Melbourne. Once again, I was very happy with the hotel overall. The reservation staff were friendly and helpful and the concierge was particularly helpful. The hotel is a great location very near to Federation Square and just across the street from the train station. The free tourist tram is just 1 minute walk from the hotel. There are good choices for restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance. Whenever I visit Melbourne in the future I will certainly pick Citigate Hotel to stay. I will rate the food/dining as 3 because I did not use the food service."

The Victoria Hotel Melbourne
Melbourne CBD,Melbourne - View on map
"The Victoria Hotel is centrally located within the middle of Melbourne, within walking distance to many attractions and very close to tram services that will take you to attractions that aren't close. It doesn't have the amenities of some of the hotels nearby, but also doesn't have the high price tag. If you are looking for a Melbourne hotel that is centrally located and don't intend to spend your entire stay in Melbourne in your hotel room, then this hotel would have to be one of the best value for money stays in Melbourne."

Milano Serviced Apartments
Melbourne CBD,Melbourne - View on map
"This is my third time staying in a serviced apartment in Melbourne and I would say that Milano Serviced Apartments is the best so far. I am a clean freak in terms of bathroom cleanliness and I was rather surprised that the bathrooms of Milano were sparkling clean and the corners in the bathrooms were not infested with filth or algae growth. I checked myself into a 2-Bedroom Executive room and was glad to find myself with a spacious kitchenette, a 6-pax dining table, a leather sofa, 2 king-sized beds and 2 bathrooms (one with a shower and another with a bathtub). The room was painted in white and thus it gave a fresh feeling and the carpet did not produce a moldy feeling. The washing machine in the room was clean too and it did not leave any residue on my clothes (which happened to me in other serviced apartments). Milano Serviced Apartments was also the tallest apartment that I have ever stayed in and the view was magnificent. So much that I could even navigate myself perfectly well by looking out of my 30th floor veranda before starting my day! The location of Milano is great too. It is right in the middle of Melbourne Central and Queen Victoria Market, which made travelling to the two places easy. Also, there is an ALDI supermarket just next to Milano. No worries for grocery shopping at all! As much as it is a serviced apartment, the comfort that it provided made me feel like home more. Well done Milano!"
