"This was our second stay in this hotel. We were given early access to our room which was much appreciated. We had a standard queen room which was very adequate. The central location is excellent with public transport at the door. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and all aspects of our time there were good. This hotel ticks all the right boxes and will always be our 'go to' hotel in Melbourne."

"We always like to book hotels close to public transport to enable us to get about with great ease. Whilst not our favourite Melbourne Hotel, Best Western Atlantis ticks all the boxes for us in terms of being close to the Airport shuttle, free city loop tram (corner of spencer street and la trobe) that will loop around to the majority of the tourist attractions in Melbourne. The tram stops directly outside some attractions and just a short walk to others. We arrived at 11am and didn't,t expect an early check in and were quite prepared to leave our luggage with the concierge til check in time whilst we explored Melbourne but we were given an early check in which was very helpful. The Queen Executive we had was a reasonable sized room, writing desk, two seat sofa, coffee table, fridge, tea/ coffee making, safe, hair dryer, alarm clock - all the things we required. The room was clean and comfortable and very good value. The hotel is NOT located in the hub of Melbourne and there are no stylish eateries on the doorstep but supermarkets, 7-11 and various fast food outlets and other clothing outlets can be found in or near the Southern Cross terminal just across the road and less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. So easy to go further afield on the free tram or just pick up a Myki card at any 7-11 or most stations and load it with whatever credit you require to use the train, bus and tram system - just easy as:D). The hotel also has an indoor pool and reasonably priced breakfast though we didn't,t have chance to use those facilities on this trip. We,d definitely stay again."

"this was our second stay at this hotel and i would highly recommend it if you are visiting melbourne. friendly staff, very clean rooms with comfortable beds and public transport right outside the front door. it is only one of 3 hotels in melbourne to provide free wi-fi throughout the hotel which is a bonus as you can pay up to an extra $25aud a day for that service in most other melbourne hotels. having the queen victoria market close by is very handy as we love to wander through there regularly. the buffet breakfasts are delightful and the pool and fitness area are great too. "I'd read quite a few reviews before heading to Melbourne and was a little apprehensive about what I'd find at 'Arrow'. Now, having returned home I'm puzzled as to what the negative comments were all about! While the foyer could do with an upgrade, the location is ideal for looking around Melbourne (a 5 minute walk to Lygon Street, a 12 minute walk to Queen Vic Markets), the staff were very helpful and polite, the room was small but clean and had everything that I needed and the bathroom, while the size of a normal en-suite, was more than sufficient for taking a shower etc. The bedroom was small but the reality is, you sleep there! It doesn't have to be enormous! The sheets were crisp and clean, the mirrored wardrobe had hangers, and there was a desk/table as well as a bedside table, great bedside light and clock. While the bed was a little firm for my liking the pillows were good. Although there was some noise at night, what else would anyone expect from a hotel in the middle of a major city, next to a main thoroughfare, on a Friday and Saturday night? The noise came from outside and when the windows were closed, the noises all but disappeared. If the temperature was a problem, there was an air-conditioner. All in all, the apartment was ideal for what I wanted. If you want 5 star then stay in a 5 star establishment but if you want something at a reasonable price which is clean, convenient and comfortable, then stay at 'Arrow on Swanston'. I'll be back and would have no problems recommending it to others."

"I am very happy in discovery Melbourne, I think it is the best location with similar price compared with other backpackers. The staff is highly trained and professional, very friendly, and service is very good I think. They have free breakfast. The location is very convenient for shoping, it is 10 minutes walking to Woolworth and Melbourne Central station, library, and CBD. Next time travel in Melbourne I will also select this Discovery Melbourne."

"This hotel/ hostel hybrid is a true vision of what every hostel/ hotel should be. I felt the right amount of separation and privacy from the typical hostel scene, but with all the social benefits from both the rooftop with hot tub, sun loungers and beautiful views of CBD and North Melbourne. Hotel Guest have access to Kitchen and also the very social bar downstairs. The executive queen is the best views for value I have ever had maybe anywhere in the world. My USD was strong and was paying about 60USD per night for an absolutely perfect stay. Best Bed ever. ONLY NEGATIVE ( they charge extra for wifi that does not work that well...) Free High Speed wifi @ Space is a must for a hotel doing everything else right. "
