only an hour or so drive from Melbourne City, I have visited the area so many times and you discover something new each time.
.. great cafe and restaurants (not all of them of course.. most of them are excellent tho), local shops selling handmade or antique or goods from different parts of Australia, you can find local produce or go for tree climing adventure..
The Dandenong ranges are small ranges or mountains closest to Melbourne, the Capital City of Victoria.
These ranges are beautiful in any season, In Summer there are cool forest walks through giant native trees or along creeks. In autumn the colours of the deciduous trees are spectacular. Winter has its own beauty as the native australian plants provide contrast to the bare trees. Spring is spectacular with the plants blooming in the house gardens and in the many State parks and gardens.
