City is quite good compared other cities in India and spiritual significance is most important. Triambakeshwar 30km away is just out of the world if interested spiritually.
It is a calm getaway. One for a quick drive/ride out of major metros like Mumbai and the weather is fantastic.
Its warm but not humid or torturous (I traveled on 02-03 Oct). My favorite hangout would be the vineyards and I would spend days there sitting and staring at the yards and sipping wine and eating French cuisine. There is NO nightlife or any extraordinary stuff like outdoor sports or the likes. Instead it is cultural and if one is ready to explore there is much to traverse and learn. There is Trimbakeshwar near by and lots of temples and old history trapped in Nashik. Comparatively untouched and naturally gifted.
River Godavari, Lord Kalram Mandir. related to exile life of Lord Ram ,Sita & Lashman.very important religious place for Hindus.
ONE SHOUD MAKE IT A POINT TO VISIT THE SULA VINEYARD. THEY HAVE A VINEYARD TOUR ALONG WITH SOME WINE SAMPLINGS WHICH IS VERY INTERESTING.
QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED PERSONNEL SHARE THEIR KNOWLEDGE ON GRAPES, THE WINE MAKING PROCESS, ETC.. THEY ALSO HAVE A COUPLE OF RESTAURANTS THERE OVER LOOKING THE DAM WATERS.
