The Manhattan Club Hotel is a an elegant establishment located close to Central Park, Carnegie Hall and the Times Square Theater district all of which are in walking distance from the hotel. Whilst it is not modern is charm is in its old world charm. The 26th level hosts the gym and guest lounge which is both comfortable and relaxing.

we stayed at the affinia shelburne for 5 nights at the end of october 2011. from beginning to end we only experienced excellence in comfort and customer service. the room was really large (new york is known for small rooms) i dont believe anyone could complain about the size of the rooms at the affinia shelburne. location - 3 blocks from grand central station. or 3 blocks from 33rd street station on the 6 line. great location for everything new york has to offer but you are still able to escape to the lovely murray hill area on lexington avenue to get away from the hustle and bustle. staff were wonderful from check in to check out. within our stay we thought we may have had problems with our airline carrier for our return journey ( industrial action) and may have had to extend our stay, we knew the hotel was fully booked however the front desk staff allayed any of our concerns and stated uncategorically that we would not be without a bed- this was even before we asked - they notified us as they had also received the update from our carrier. i tried 3 pillows on the menu and they were all wonderful. bed was enormous and furniture and fixtures extremely well cared for. all in all a 10/10 from us and we will be back.

I really enjoyed the friendly and cosy atmosphere of the Dylan Hotel. Staff were very helpful and the room was spacious with an excellent, stylish bathroom. The location was fantastic, just off Madison Avenue and 42nd Street. I used buses nearby to go everywhere in New York. There were excellent restaurants nearby, in particular Madison & Vine on the corner. They do a great gourmet burger. I would definitely pick the Dylan Hotel for my next New York trip!

Our room was perfect size not too small nor too big. Our beds were absolutely the best ever. I would recommend the hotel based on just the bed alone but the stay was very smooth from check in to check out. We had the day to stay and tour til our departure so Hitt had luggage storage access did just $5 per bag we used so we could still go through town with the kids and not carry our belongings m. Absolutely our best stay in New York. Huge lobby to sit as you await your transportation or friends.

One of the best “budget” hotels in New York. Located 2 streets away from empire state building, hotel offers a clean bedroom and private toilet for a very good price. Room is not as big as five star hotels, but cleanliness, customer service is recommendable. They even offer free drinks and chocolates.

Was quite happy with the choice of the hotel. The rooms were quite spacious for NY hotel. The staff was excellent at reception and breakfast. The location is 2 mins from the times square and its on the main road. You can even walk down to central park. So i would say its great choice, if you get right price. Only minor downside - the rooms are a bit old style. In NY thats true for many other hotels...

We arrived to find we did not get the room we had booked from a previous stay....The room given was not big enough for 3 people. When questioned about this, the staff were very accommodating and upgrated us immediately to suite. I was very happy with the service and hopitality of the Affinia Manhattan and would not stay anywhere else while in New York.

It is hard to beat the location of this hotel, between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue. We could walk everywhere. While there was no coffee maker or tea kettle in the room, hot water will be delivered on request - this is a complimentary service. We would definitely stay there again.

From outside the hotel may seems old, but inside is really beautiful. The hotel is clean and new! That's what I like with this hotel, with a good deal, getting newly renovated hotel in New York is pretty tough. Big Bus City Tour (also newer city tour) that provides all loops also very convenient as is it just right in front of the main entrance hotel. For supper lover in the city-never-sleeps, the location is very convenient as well as it is only one block away to the famous Halal food truck.

Love Yotel New york. Place is walking distance to Broadway and staffs are friendly. Overall good stay

This is a lovely well situated almost boutique hotel very close to everything you could want to do in New York. The staff were very good and we even managed to get a room upgrade which was a beautiful room with jacuzzi bath which was great after a long day touring New York. The only down side was the Air conditioning which could not be adjusted so we had to open the windows which did let in a bit of traffic noise. On the whole the hotel was excellent.

We had a biz trip in New York state and a bonus holiday at the end. We just chose what seemed to be the best among the rest but the hotel exceeded our expectation. The room was not so big but just enough for two. The facility was just comfortable for a short stay.

Our stay at the City Club Hotel was in two words amazing . I can not think how they could improve on it , it was flawless . I had read that the rooms were small but man are they well thought out , every amenity you could want and never once did we feel cramped .The bathroom was simply wonderful with the best shower I may have ever taken , didn't want to get out . We traveled with our two dogs and every member of the staff was an animal lover and were just so friendly to my dogs! There is a park two blocks away on 42nd st for the dogs to do their bussiness . The location of course is ideal to take in a show and everything from the best New York delis to fine dining options all around you . I know I will never stay at any other hotel in New York if I happen to return there .

We stayed here for our honeymoon from Australia. When we arrived the check-in process was quick and the staff were lovely. Our room was modern, clean and the bed was very comfortable. I have nothing but positive feedback for this place, we absolutely loved our stay here. Close to Grand Central Terminal so getting around New York was a breeze. We had a view of the Empire State Building from our room which was lovely. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Location was great. Rooms small but this is New York so that’s expected. Very clean rooms and we loved the neutrogena shampoo/ body wash etc! Unfortunately staff was extremely rude and not helpful at all. When I booked the hotel according to Agoda site, check in started from 3pm. At the hotel we were informed that this was wrong (check in was at 4pm) and were asked to pay $50 to check in early (one hour early!!!). Of course we didn’t. I understand that every hotel has their policies however the attitude of the reception staff was so bad that ruined our first day there. Also If check in is at 4pm then basically you pay for a full day that you don’t even get to use the room. Very disappointing service. Would definitely avoid!!!

I will make this one of my top stays on my next trip to New York. Love having the shuttle for pickup and drop off. Loved that we were an early arrival and they made sure we had a room ready. Very much appreciated.

Hyatt hotel in new york i would really recommend it .. grand central is just beside it. Hotel by itself so clean. I love the bed, comforter and pillow so soft.

Lovely boutique hotel, fantastic location , literally on the Empire States doorstep....staff were lovely, bedrooms spacious and clean. Bathrooms a little small but workable and only 2 lifts in the hotel which at times were a tad annoying, best value for money we’ve had in New York, would not hesitate to stay here again .

The best thing about the hotel is that they have the best group of staff at the front desk. Helpful and very friendly (especially Bogdan). The room is small (just like any other hotel in new york) and cleanliness was only ok. Overall the ambience of the room was not very pleasant but the staff made up for it. So if you’re looking for a hotel in times square area, you will be happy staying here. This hotel is located near macy’s and the surrounding shopping outlets.

I had a chance to stay in several hotel chains in New York city between them known one like Radisson, Holiday Inn, Hilton and others. It was by chance that i got to Flatiron. The staff and specifically Jason at the front desk were very welcoming and helpfull. The bar area has great live shows every night till 1am. The rooms ( stayed at the delux toshi room) smell amaizing and the decoration is exact. Its fresh, its comfortable and considerably big room. I have no bad words for that stay. Obviously if you plan to stay for long period and want to sleep ask for high floor cause of the music downstairs, unless you plan to join the party which is great one.

The hotel is really beautiful, very luxurious, excellent location, walk-able to Garden City restaurants and shops. The best part about the hotel is the staff. Christina at the front desk was excellent Emilis at the Kings Bar was very nice, great service, tasty cocktails. Can't wait to go again :-)

Probably my favourite hotel in NY so far. The original art deco solid timber features and stunning bathroom are proof that they don't build 'em like they used to! Huge windows overlooking the hustle and bustle of the city, but very quiet at night. Only complaint is that the aircon/heating system was temperamental and kept switching itself back and forth between cold and hot. The staff could have been a little friendlier but overall we were very happy with our stay at the Viceroy.

This is a great place to stay in New York, we were 2 couples staying in two apartments and we were all very impressed with everything, the staff were extremely helpful, the apartments were very clean and modern,location was great, cleaning staff were very good, overall we would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and anyone wanting to spend a week or two in New York

Never being in New York before, not sure what hotel to pick. Did some research and picked Hotel Edison and I was extremely happy. Close to so many restaurants, theatres and attractions including Times Square.

The interior of this hotel is very good and the location is very close to Times Square, so it is very easy for those of us who like shopping. So you can put all the shoping bags at the hotel and continue walking around NY. We think this hotel is better than ROW NYC hotel.

the bf and i decided to stay an extra night in nyc so we decided to book through through . the staff at sheraton had a difficult time finding our booking at first, as we had booked the previous night and it wasn't showing up in the system. location is key! this hotel literally sits on top of the b,d, and e train. 5th avenue's infamous high-end shopping street is just one station away. the e train will also take you to the airport in an hour for just $7.50 (2.50 subway fare + 5.00 air train fare). we opted for this as we were leaving during rush hour. additionally, walk down the block and you'll reach the infamous halal food cart! ate this at least 3 times - so amazing! the room itself is decent in size for a new york room. the rooms aren't anything fancy or artistic in design but it is clean and you get what you pay for. i ended up paying $ and for the convenience, especially in manhattan,this deal was unbeatable.

Our stay was great until you went for a shower... the temperature was not consistent for the hot water. we had to turn the knob all sorts of directions to get it hot. The walls of our room were thin so thin we could here the conversation next door to us! It almost seemed like they were in our room at one point! Other than that the view was awesome! Pillows are a little stiff for our liking but nice spacious area and clean. The restaurant for breakfast was pretty. The Buffett has your very Basic foods, eggs, sausage. Bacon and oatmeal. Nothing that stood out other then the view of the water. Service lacked there in the restaurant, we Never got a refill or anything but what did You expect there was young men working there and they’re too busy talking about sports to even notice their were people needing refills etc.. I have mixed emotions about this place but I would def give it another try if the price is right.

We had a pleasant stay in Box House Hotel, located in the further north Green Point area in Brooklyn, a bit distance to the hip Williamsburg, but still you can take a bus ( a little walk to the bus station, or better , is to take the ferry , a quick and scenery journey to get to all places, Williamsburg or Manhattan island ). It has much larger space ( NY standard) than everywhere else, hence we booked it the first place, we had the loft with Terrance , although we didn't use the terrance much as it is facing the bridge across the road , you can see people passing, so not much view there. A complete apartment rather than hotel in my opinion as it requires self maintain the cleanness of the room, no daily room service. It does feel like a new funky home away from home, I could imagine living there if moved to New York. You can get food and water etc from nearby Deli / convenient store just turn to left corner on the street , or walk a few block to bigger stores , super market near India street. A few restaurants on the main street too.

The hotel was great, especially as Agoda messed up my pre-paid booking !! But, upon the discovery of there not being a booking in the system, the check in staff organised a room within no time at all. The hotel was clean,, comfortable and within walking distance of Times Square and surrounds. It is also close to subway entrances if you wish to explore further. It is not cheap but that is New York for you. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

I had a pleasant, one-night stay at the hotel. It's in an unbeatable location--walking distance from Grand Central Station and thus extremely accessible for all forms of transport into/out of and within New York City. The hotel is in an older building and the lobby is small, but functional. My room was reasonably sized for New York and clean, but missing simple amenities like a small, in-room complimentary bottle of drinking water (there were $8 bottles of water available for purchase). The tap water was potable but tasted terrible and I arrived too late and was too exhausted from a long trip in from Europe to go foraging for a local market. Far and away the best part of the stay for me was the staff, who were friendly and extremely helpful. The concierge and manager on duty at check-out worked quickly to resolve a billing issue that was not, in fact, the hotel's fault, and the doorman on duty when I left went out of his way to get me a timely and affordable ride to Penn Station. The staff absolutely made the experience for me. Note that I have rated food/dining a 1 because there was no n/a option in this required field. Other than the water, I didn't partake of any dining options there.
