Traveling to Vietnam? Find Phan Thiet hotels

I was aware that the Phu Hai ward was the last spot in Phan Thiet that was more isolated from the heavily touristy areas, so I chose The Cliff Resort and Residences for its location. The villa looked good from the pictures so it made sense. It exceeded all of our expectations and even the locals commented on how The Cliff was one of the best in the area. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the staff was friendly and active. They were on top of every little thing and made the stay feel luxurious despite the price being a fraction of what you would get anywhere else. Lastly, Tung and Thanh who worked at the poolside bar were great. Not only did they have fun with our non-menu requests (we wanted rum in our freshly opened coconuts, so they recommended a ratio of water-to-rum), but they were also helpful. One of our group has a deathly allergy to seafood and eggs. Thanh called in to make sure no fish sauce or any similar ingredient was used for his food.

We visited friends staying at the Novotel in Phan Thiet (15K away) and were so glad we'd decided to stay at Mui Ne. We had scouted out Bamboo Village resort in 2006 and am so glad we chose it this time. It's in the perfect location on the beach and close to all restaurants and shops. The perfect place to completely relax!

This was my second visit to Mui Ne bay Resort. I was looking forward to some relaxing by the beach and that was exactly what I did. We took the train this time from Saigon (176,000 pp per trip)which I preferred over the rocky slow bumpy beepy bus, we took the "local" bus from Phan thiet train station, it took us all the way to the resort for only 35,000ea in about 35minutes. If you have lots of luggage and a family I would recommend a taxi ($25usd) I really enjoyed the selection of the breakfast buffet, omelette, pancakes, soups, Vietnamese dishes, meats, salads, fruits, selection of patisseries. I didn't appreciate the other greedy guests taking platefuls of the same dish, or the home made yogurt, because it meant there was not enough for everyone. Lunch menu offers a tasty selection of 20 or so western dishes (145,000 for a burger) and 20 or so Eastern Dishes (70,000 or so for a Vietnamese salad). The seafood market each evening was a real highlight for dinner, the prawns clams, muscles are so fresh and delicious and cheap! I would recommend taking your bikini or speedos as shirts and boardies are not permitted in the pool as some of the customers don't shower of the sand from the beach before going in the pool this causes it to be dirty. I really appreciated the staff remembering me and welcoming me to the resort again, the staff try their best and perhaps English or Russian is expensive to learn in Phan Thiet so be patient and considerate as some staff have better language skills than others. I could see other guest frustrated and at times speaking inappropriately to the staff. If I could change one thing about the resort It would be the rude customers with bizarre attitude "this is a resort so it must have everything I want right now and 3 towels per person per day" attitude and ask them to leave. Enjoy the lovely beach and gardens the way it is and have a relaxing holiday. :-)

I have been coming to Mui Ne for many years and stayed at many different resorts and always Mia/Sailing Club is the top as far as service and quality. The new redesign of the resort and bungalows is very nice. We ended up barely leaving the resort as unfortunately the rest of mui ne and phan thiet beach area continue to be a mess. Great getaway from HCMC and the staff there especially is truly a pleasure.

My girlfriend and I had a very enjoyable stay at Allezboo Beach Resort and Spa in Phan Thiet. This is a new resort hence all facilities and amenities looks clean and pristine. The service staff were exceptionally friendly, which we feel is typical of Vietnamnese. They were prompt to our response which made our experience a pleasant one indeed. One area that requires improvement though is the prices for a day tour in Mui Ne, which is marked up by close to twice the street rates by the hotel. On the same note, it would have been better if there were more than 1 masseuse on duty so that they can handle and bigger volume of customers.

- very clean room & bathroom - nice view - spacious - staff is friendly - good breakfast - common area without air-cond being turned on - we need to travel from hotel back to Phan thiet train station, there was a staff told that we could travel by bus however at night, we double confirm with another staff he mentioned that cab is the only option and we get quite confused.

We are a family of 4 and satisfied with this hotel. Staff is very kind and helpful. We are very appreciated for the help to arrange car pick up from Phan Thiet Station to hotel and back when we check in & out. The room is an apartment, very big and clean, with kitchen if you want to cook. The beach is clean and surrounding is quiet because it's in the middle of Phan Thiet and Mui Ne downtown. But also because of that, it's a bit far away by walking if you want to visit some places else. You can go by taxi around 3 km, or around VND 70,000 to Mui Ne downtown where you can see the market, convenient stores, and plenty of fresh seafood restaurants. The breakfast in hotel is also good hearty at this cost level. But in our day 2 due to customers are not many so they change to breakfast menu a la carte instead of putting everything outside. We are a bit disappointed.

It is probably one of the cheapest villa with private pool in Phan Thiet. Furthermore, the infinity large pool facing the ocean is awesome. The breakfast and food in the restaurant is decent. The staff is nice and very friendly, they even give us a birthday cake free of charge, which is delicious as well. However, it is quite far from the food center of Mui Ne, Phan Thiet, where you should go to enjoy seafood (much cheaper and more option than Romana offers). Besides, there is a few creeping worm in the nature-bathroom that may scare you in the night.

It's a great place for family get-together. I prefer to stay at this villa than hotel room. Everyone can spend time together in a family room at night instead of their own room at hotel. If we go to Phan Thiet we always stay over here. Breakfast is food with lot of choices. There is a very good restaurant located inside Sealinks (I forget the name, maybe Ocean). If you don't want to go out, Ocean is a good choice, good food and not too expensive. We usually take a train to PT. If we want to go out for dinner on NDC St, we pretty much pay about 85,000 VND for taxi. I think taxi service around NDC is very expensive. Maybe because the guests don't go further than NDC St so they charge by trip, not km.

We had a great stay at Villa Aria, and would highly recommend it to couples and those seeking a quiet, relaxing experience. The pros: - Rooms are very nice, clean, modern, comfortable. The Superior Room is perfectly nice though it is the lowest level. - The staff here, including the manager, are among the most genuinely friendly hotel staff we have ever met (and we have stayed in hundreds of hotels from 1-5 stars around the world.) The staff are also very professional and strive to please customers. - The resort's food is also really good, very healthy tasting, and surprisingly affordable for a hotel/resort. - The beach in front of the resort is about the best you'll find on the whole long strip of Mui Ne. The water was generally clean, as was the beach, and we swam in it every day. The kite surfers were occasionally annoying, choosing to get way too close to swimmers at times. The cons: - This small resort (roughly 25 rooms) was generally peaceful for the 12 nights we stayed but Vietnamese tourists and families come and go often and many were quite loud and didn't manage their young children well. At times it was a bad distraction to us and other guests. I think the hotel staff needs to do a better job of telling louder guests to be more respectful for everyone else. - The front desk staff gave us incorrect info about the bus back to Phan Thiet train station and it almost became a big problem for us. The hotel manager was nice enough to say he'd pay for a taxi if necessary though in the end that wasn't. We'd definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone.

It's a great price for the nicest private beach in phan thiet. The pool is big and grounds are pleasant. I will come back. Breakfast is decent with good selection. I think it's the best value in phan thiet.

We liked this hotel, the beach & gardens were beautiful, the staff were nice & friendly too. Excellent value for money. BUT 2 negatives to our room. 1......the shower had very little water pressure & after the maintenance guy looked at it the pressure was still the same, the hotel should look into this problem because all customers like to have a good shower in the room. 2.....the internet is very slow here, but that was the same everywhere we went in Phan Thiet. SOME COMMENTS ON THE ATTRACTIONS AROUND PHAN THIET THE HOTEL RECOMMENDS. 1.........Fairy Stream, forget it!! its a joke. 2.......Red Sand Dunes......forget it, its a big rip off & not worth the visit. 3......White Sand Dunes.....excellent afternoon spent there on the quad bikes & the dunes. 4.......The Wine Castle......excellent couple of hours in this place & gardens, but a couple of hours & you have seen it all.

The resort is built in the slope of a hill.....so be prepared to climb a decent number of the steps to reach the pool, the restaurant and the beach which is of course worth the effort. The bungalows with sea sight are beautiful. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is definitively a recommendation, in particular for breakfast. The resort allows direct access to the beach...in brief, yes, the Poshanu resort is a recommendation when going to Phan Thiet or Mui Ne.

I have stayed at the PArk Diamond Hotel in Phan Thiet for a few times. I like the location. It's only a minute or two walk to the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was speedy and the room was large and clean. Breakfast was very good, we enjoyed it. We would stay at the Park Diamond Hotel again when we come back to Phan Thiet. We would recommend this hotel to anyone that like to stay near the beach and still within walking distance to the city centre.

I really enjoy 3 days staying in this resort. many store and restaurant around. u also can hire motobike to go to Phan Thiet City or Mui Ne easily.

We felt surprised after checked in at Full Moon Village for our 3 days 2 night trip at Mui Ne on March 2016. The villa was stunning with its spacious living hall , full equipped kitchen bar, in house & outdoor Jacuzzi ! Varity buffet breakfast meal & nice dining environment which is just facing on the beach. The mango shake & Vietnam coffee are taste good & reasonable price. Good place to chill out in the restaurant for our lunch & dinner meal. There are free shuttle bus from Full Moon Village to Mui Ne (half hour journey) and Phan Thiet town (1 hour journey). The staff will provide you the shuttle bus schedule during your check in time. Excellent service, helpful & friendly staff ! There are massage service upon we make a request. The massage fee around VDN300,000++ and you can having it at your own villa & even at beach area ! Peaceful and private paradise to stay in with great service from Full Moon Village Resort! We had spent a relaxing & pleasant stay & it is worth for money! Highly recommended of Full Moon Village!

Room AC didn't work well. Except for us, patrons were entirely Russian on package trip, rudest people on the planet: cut in front of us in buffet line, and, most infuriating, would "stake their claim" to a poolside chaise first thing in the AM by placing a towel on it. Then they would disappear for lengthy periods, rendering the chairs useless to others. I fault the hotel for this, as they have no policy in place. Another minor pain was the absence of a bartender when the bar was open. Throughout the day I had to hunt him/her down to get a beer. Drinks were pricey for VN as well! The "gym" was pretty poor too, lousy eqpt. I can say one positive thing: the bellman was friendly, helpful, and spoke English very well. The physical facility was very nice and well maintained, and the breakfast buffet was good. Beach was nice, but quite a bit of trash on it. Could have stayed much cheaper closer to Phan Thiet at a facility of comparable quality, with MUCH easier access to restaurants, bars

In twelve years of living and traveling all over Asia I have stated at countless hotels and resorts. During this course I have never felt compelled to write a review for any of them. My recent stay at the Cham Villas Resort in Phan Thiet, Vietnam has bucked my trend. My wife and I went for a three night stay and were nothing but impressed starting from the welcome we received at the entrance, all the way until we regretfully had to leave. The entire resort consists of only 17 individual villas holding true to its classification as a Boutique Resort. With such a small number of villas, even if every unit is full, it never seems crowded. We highly recommend the beachfront villas as the beach is just steps away and the waves crashing at night is the perfect backdrop to a wonderful night’s sleep. Our villa was perfectly appointed with fresh flowers, mangos, & a wonderful terrace with full day bed, as well as air con and hot water that actually worked, very well! The grounds of the resort are also top-notch, whoever designed the grounds did a superb job of keeping each villa as secluded as possible from the next. The pool and the couples spa are tucked away such that you feel totally secluded form the rest of the world. The food was also superb, we did not even eat anywhere else! The kitchen is operated by a German national and he does a wonderful job with having international dishes as well as local fare. The beach bar did a wonderful job of keeping us supplied with wet towels to keep us cool all day. While we were on the beach, we just ordered small dish after small dish all day long and enjoyed each one better than the last. The tropical drink menu is as extensive as I have ever seen. This was without a doubt one of the best resorts I have ever experienced. If you are looking for a place to spend a nice relaxing holiday with your partner, look no further. My hat goes off to the management and staff of Chams Villas.

Actually,I impressed when coming the hotel, with clean room, swimming pool large and very nice for my children. At night I walked along streets by the sea. Receptionist very nice and kind. My wife and children loved this hotel. if anytime once we go to Mui Ne Phan Thiet, I should stay here.

it is a beautiful resort in phan thiet. i used to lived there several times. i feel totally relax & satisfy. the food is fresh and service is so good. the beach is also beautiful. you can play several activities on the beach. the swimming pool is fresh & large. i certainly come back here for next times.

The staff was very friendly and quick to respond. Spoke English well. The room was very upscale, large and clean. Big bed. Nice garden view. The gardens were very beautiful. Beach was great and the pool was very nice. Breakfast was very good. Need decaff coffee. Very romantic environment. Quiet at least when we were there. Very nice local restaraunts. not very much shopping though it is not what we came for. Had a great time. Phan Thiet is only a short trip by scooter and is a very nice place to enoy local cusine and walk around. All and all we had a great time.

i stayed here for 3 nights. the hotel is okay, but a bit worn-out for a four-star hotel. the room was clean and it is nice to be close to the sea. breakfast buffet was very good. the pool is very nice also. the water and the beach (further away from the hotel) are not too clean, so i did not go swimming, but it was nice to walk in the beach. muine tourist center as well as phan tiet town are easily reached by local buses. there are restaurants in walking distance from the hotel - the quality of the food varies, though.

We missed the turnoff to Mui Ne and ended up in Phan Thiet and found the Ocean Dunes Resort as our base for a couple of nights rest. We were so glad we did bypass the seedy strip of Mui Ne as the Ocean Dunes at Phan Thiet gave us just the tonic for a restful stop. The bedroom was extremely comfortable and the balcony view of the fishing fleet across the horizon was wonderful. The hotel grounds are really well maintained and very pleasant to cross over to the beachside lounges for a slumber. The hotel looks to have seen grander days as a former french owned property but the staff appear to great lengths to maintain its appearance. We'd definitely come back for another visit.

Really big and comfortable rooms although their blankets were really thin, but the view from the window compensates everything. Best ocean view I had experience in Vietnam, located just near red sandunes. Serve awesome breakfast and their room services food are very delicious! Sunrise was superb

The food was authentic and great, the staffs performance was outstanding and the hotel was clean and in order. The hotel is situated between the white sand dunes and red sand dunes probably 30mins away from the hotel on both sides. Though the hotel is far from the main busy streets, we still enjoyed our stay here. Try not to book the public sleeping bus as it stops at all the hotels at the nearby streets going to MuiNe, it's a pain spending an hour on stop and go from the hotels. Overall we love our stay and we would definitely come back!

Excellent customer service. The staff were accommodating and sweet. Will definitely recommend this with my friends and will make sure to visit the resort again the next time we visit Vietnam!

my wife and i only spent two days at the golden coast resort. so far it was the best two days of our vietnam vacation. the food, people and facilities are the best we've come by yet. it also yields ample beach front, and a fantastic spa. we have ended up travelling up the coast, but are changing our iterary to head back down to phan thiet so we can go back. there are some people that my not like this hotel because it is 7km from the hustle and bustle of the city, but i think that is the perfect hideaway

This is the best seaside resorts near Ke ga lighthouse (5-6km) and 30km from Ta Cu mountain. It’s about 20km far away from the center of phan thiet city. It’s easy to take a bus or taxi from city to resorts. But you need to plan how to be back to the heart of city. 30-45 mins to wait the bus for other destinations, 25-35 mins for taxi and no motorbike rent service. Transportation facilities is only problem if you take a solo traveling. The resorts has a nice design in the path to each rooms or departments. There are 2 areas: the hillside and seaside. You should choose the seaside part because it’s located near other facilities of resorts.... The room is big and clean. A swimming pool is fine. The food is cooked well here. Specially, there is a small area for kids to play. The seaside is nice and they get some swings to enjoy the view. The staffs are friendly and ready to guide you how to travel some place near there. 4 stars resorts and value your money to enjoy.

We have just returned from a 1 week stay at the Takalau resort and we had a lovely relaxing time. All the staff from reception to gardeners were friendly and we were sad to leave the resort. Sophie & Thao Assistant Managers were both great with us. Sophie organised us a collection from the train station, and was even there to great us. Such great customer service. We had meals at the hotel most nights and the food was fantastic and in a great setting right next to the beach. All food and drinks in the resort were great value for money. After having the first week of the holiday touring round Vietnam it was great to come to this resort and relax.

This hotel is about 50 km from Phan Thiet Railway station. It has a very nice beach and is walking distance from seafood market. The facilities were quite old but the place was spacious and has a lot of greens. The food was not that good but free. Recommended for budget travelers who love open space.
