"Highly recommend anyone in the Sunshine Coast staying at these cabins- everything is looked after and Michael and his couple of cats and dogs are very friendly without being intrusive or pushy. The cabins have everything you need for a romantic getaway- you can just completely relax and forget about the world- I don't think one night is enough- we stayed three and that was a perfect amount of time. Also close to Australia Zoo and the beautiful Hinterland region. "

"We came to Ramada on the Sunshine coast for a suprise birthday weekend for my mums 60th! The staff were brilliant, they went above and beyond to ensure our weekend was memorable. I had ordered balloons that got deliered before we arrived, so they set them up in our room ready for us. Upon checking in they asked for my mothers name (who arrived later for the suprise) just in passing, I didnt think anything of it...we came back after lunch to find a note addressed to my mum wishing her a happy birthday with some chocolates and a bottle of sparkling wine!! These little touches blew me away. And the room...THAT VIEW...with the panorma view through the windows and the rooftop terrance...i couldnt get enough. Some of the furniture, aircon and the rooftop area/spa were a bit outdated...but even still it was EXTREMELY good value for money. Very nice bathrooms and great little kitchen! I was in love with the room, but blown away by the customer service we received. We will be back!"

"i happen to s=tumble across a good deal for a "last minute" deal on agoda. i compared to varius sites in terms of cost, cleanliness, availability and close to noosa central location. i booked after reception closed, but luckily an on-site manager came to assist in booking me in under his apratment. it was clean, tidy, great service, friendly easy going and cause i checked in late they automatically ensured i had a late checkout. great place, would surely return!"

Ocean Views Resort
Caloundra and Kings Beach,Sunshine Coast - View on map
"We needed a one bedroom apartment on the Sunshine coast for a short family holiday. We chose OVR for the price and location and were thrilled with the apartment. Had everything we needed . Great facilities but mostly we were close to the beach (just a stroll away). Check in was easy and the whole stay was relaxed. Caloundra is full of fantastic restaurants near the beach. The hotel would be suitable for families, couples or even just groups of friends. "

"from the booking in the staff were friendly and courteous. when we wanted to stay an extra night the procedure was seamless and courteous. the room was ideal for a couple and the facilities in the room were excellent. we had our family as visitors to the room and the pool areas and felt comfortable doing that as the staff were all tolerant and friendly. we enjoyed our stay very much and will book again for our next trip to see our family on the sunshine coast. the convenience of the restaurant next door was great for us and the food was second to none and also excellent value. this is a plus for the resort we think. we enjoyed the bbq area and the children loved the playground as well. five stars from us."

"We booked through agoda however there was an error with the type of room we booked when sent to their system. The staff were extremely helpful in ensuring we had the next best thing and we couldn’t have been happier! The treehouse was newly renovated and so private we felt relaxed and secluded. The freshly renovated bathroom and spa looking out over the trees and relaxing in front of the fireplace was just what we needed. Will be requesting that treehouse directly for our next visit. Thankyou so much!"

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort
Twin Waters and Mudjimba,Sunshine Coast - View on map
"Lovely hotel right on a lagoon within a few mins walk to a beach on the Sunshine Coast. The hotel had plenty of options for food ranging from deli shop, buffet, a la carte and night time snacks plus the main bar was nice to sit in for drinks with friends. All places allowed you to put charges against the room which saved having to think or remember to have cash on hand. There were plenty of sports activities from golf to sailing to kayaking. We were there for a wedding close by therefore were very happy to find the Novotel twin waters nearby and to have a wonderful stay. Would go back next time in the region."

"I was extremely impressed with this Direct Hotels managed property. One can see the attention to detail everywhere. Michelle at the front desk was extremely professsional and contacted me the day I checked in to ensure I knew when the desk closed so I could get my keys. The studio is small but has a balcony and was a very nice place for a single person to stay for a few days. Good Bean - best coffee in the area and opens at 6am for the Hospital crowd! Naha Thai next door has a great Pad Thai. And go up to the new Birtinya shops and try out the Taphouse and its local microbrews on tap. Overall a great experience! "

Traveler impressions of Sunshine Coast

More about Sunshine Coast

Australia’s Sunshine Coast is comprised of several beautiful beaches and coastal cities located in Queensland, north of Brisbane. This area is about two hours from Brisbane by car, but is also served by Sunshine Coast Airport, which is located on Marcoola Beach.

As the name suggests, the Sunshine Coast is a great destination for a vacation full of sunshine and beach activities. The area is surrounded by long stretches of beautiful coastlines, and because of the sheer size, overcrowding isn’t often an issue, especially at some of the more secluded areas of Coolum Beach.

The list of beaches on the Sunshine Coast is a very long one, each one offering their own vibe and attracting different crowds from surfers to hang gliders to beach barbecue enthusiasts. Off the sand, the Sunshine Coast is also home to the famous Australia Zoo. The zoo is operated by the family of the late Steve Irwin, who was one of the most beloved and recognized animal educators. Those traveling with children will definitely find this zoo a worthwhile destination.

There’s much more to see and experience in the Sunshine Coast, and the interactive map on this page is a great way to find out where the attractions and hotels can be found in this stunning area.
