1. Location : Easy to reach by driving. Exit at Bukit Merah from PLUS Highway. Turn right after toll and Bukit Merah Laketown Resort entrance is on your right. Go inside until you reach main building. For public transport, its quite difficult to reach by bus/train. You have to take cab. The room is a little bit far from the receptionist.You have to park your car at the receptionist building The hotel provide a van for guests to mobile from room to receptionist. You have to call the receptionist for the van. The van is always available. No worries. 2. Food : There's cafe at the main building that opened until 11pm for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is provided at the cafe. Various type of local food like nasi lemak,roti canai and many more were provided for breakfast. If you want to try local food outside, the nearest stall/restaurant is at the entrance. About 1km from the main building and you have to drive to go there. Its opened until midnite. 3. Shopping : Souvenirs shop at the main building. Nearest big town is Taiping, 45 minutes drive from the hotel. 4. Facilities : Internet cannot used due to technical error. Shampoo, soap, toothbrush, towel, mineral water, iron, referigerator and water heater provided. They clean the room everyday. Got bath tub. Very beautiful scenery from the balcony especially at night. Balcony facing to the lake. Suitable for fishing activities from the balcony. Very peaceful at room. 5. Staff : Helpfull and speak english/malay. 6. Value for money : Worth it for the price for RM250.

I feel good staying at this hotel because... 1) room is new, modern and clean. 2) basic toilotries provided such as toothbrush,toothpaste,shower cap,sanitary bag, shampoo and shower gel 3) staff was very friendly and helpful. i need panadol, plaster and sewing kit. wanted to puchase from the convenice store beside but it close due to system down. so i ask the fronk desk staff to assist me. hotel got sell the sewing kit but no selling panadol and plaster. the staff give me his panadol and plaster. solve my problem. 4) toilet and shower are seprated. when shower, the whole toilet wont get wet. know taiping is a more town, do not have 5 star hotel and service. at least the hotel make me feel comfortable staying here.

We truly love our hotels room but the first time we step in the room it smells. We had to spray the room with car perfume because there was no convenient store near the area. We were worried that we cannot go to Orang Utan's Island as the lake water was shallow. Hopefully there would be rain soon to fill up the lake or the management will need to do something about it. The orang utan island is too small. We can see that there is a lot of "Work in progress" area in the island but things need to be improved further. Eco park is great but it needs more attraction. Water park is the best. However, we were not allowed to bring food in the park. The food at the stalls outside is not that good, might want to improve it. No attraction at night which is a bit boring.

Booked deluxe which has a queen size bed and a single size bed. Room is spacious however the shower and toilet is small. Behind the hotel is the Muslim's cemetary but lucky for me i got room no. 503 which is on the left side of the hotel facing the housing area. Breakfast was good. They also have basement parking and swimming pool which is rare amongst the hotel in taiping area.

Was skeptical at first when i checking in here, but i was absolutely suprised by their services. The receptionist is very friendly and nice. The room is very spacious despite the low rate. The concept was modern and tasteful, great combination of different colour contrast and theme for different room. The bed is very comfy, we slept like a log. The aircond is cool and wifi signal was excellent, easy for me to get my work done. My husband and i seldom travel to taiping for business. We have had our fair share of spending our nights in hotel, but this hotel is a lot better than the one we have stayed before. We managed to explore the taiping lake garden before checkout by car which is 5 minutes away. We are satisfied with the price and services provided. good one

New hotel in Taiping. Had a peaceful getaway in this quiet and beautiful hotel, strategically located at the iconic Taiping Lake Gardens. The location is close to many major landmarks in Taiping, the scenery was superb, rooms are spacious and most importantly, the service was good and friendly. Would recommend this hotel to anyone based on its location, comfort and friendliness. Keep up the good work!

I am glad I chose to stay in this hotel in Taiping. Its location is unbelievably close (within walking distant) to all the good food places that be be found in Google foodie pages. It is just opposite the Taiping wet market, so if you dont mind the morning market smell, this hotel is actually quite alright. The facilities are all still quite new and very, very clean. Staff are also very friendly, helpful and respond promptly - I found out that my room's aircond was leaking water late at night so I inform the reception and to my surprise, the aircond was being fixed first thing in the morning as I came back from my breakfast. Parking is the normal public parking lot and depends on your luck to find it but it is hardly an issue. The hotel helps to cover for your parking during the morning session only and as for the afternoon session, you have to purchase your own Majlis Perbandaran Taiping (MPT) parking coupons (there are a few shops nearby selling them).

we enjoyed our stay there (4 kids aged 14,11,7 & 4)and my kids claimed that was the best stay in malaysia :) the plus point was the surrounding area with natural landscape and not to mention the nearby tourist attractions like zoo taiping, burmese pool, war cemetery and maxwell hill.

Easily one of the best hotels in Taiping, capable of matching the brand new 4-star Novotel. Clean rooms with a classy touch, that you feel that you are staying in a 4-stat hotel. Staff are very quick to attend to complaints. Anyone coming to Taiping should consider this hotel as the first choice!

The hotel is neither too big that you feel detached nor too small. We were quite surprised with our room, it is beautiful with modern decoration. The bed is spacious and there is even a sofa when we just booked the most basic room. The hotel is also very thoughtful by providing iron in each room, umbrellas everywhere, using a proper jug rather than simply providing bottled water (props to the sustainable effort! Not a common practise in Malaysia). The pool is great and it would be perfect if there is also a gym. The hotel is also within walking distance to the renowned Taiping Lake Garden, hopefully we can come here again.

I would like to recommend this hotel to my frens and family...This place really a nice place to relax and stay. Especially Staff Miss Khatijah Who on duty was very friendly and understanding. Pro’s: -strategic location (opposite Tesco and Taiping Central). Easy access to restaurant/ food stall. But for muslim they have to go to Tesco or Taiping Central to get halal food. Only 7 mins distance from Taman Tasik Taiping and Zoo Taiping, and 10 mins distance from Taiping Train Station by car. -Big room: we booked a standard room with King Size bed and my 4 children can sleep on sleeping bag on the floor. So many space in the room. -very clean and cozy and comfortable - the staffs are very polite and helpful - good parking space -simple decoration so we don’t have to worry that our small child would touch or destroyed hotel’s properties Cons: - the bar is located near the hotel, not good for family with teenager. You have to watch your teenager from getting involved in alcohol. - our room only have small window so we cannot really enjoy the view from our room. Maybe you can booked a superior room to avoid this one.

They've small windowless rooms which some might find slightly claustrophobic and the price is within the Taiping hotels price range. It is however centrally and conveniently located and the staff are very pleasant. It's clean enough for family or business travellers.

It is a cute and neat hotel completed with basic amenities, though the TV only comes with a few national channels. The hotel lobby is nicely decorated with friendly customer service. Considering the economical rate and new refurbishment, plus short distance 10 minutes driving to Taiping town ie. to the great Taiping Park, Lake, Zoo and Maxwell Hill, it is definitely a great deal compared to the other 4-5 stars hotels though the stay does not include breakfast.

The Flemington Hotel in Taiping, West Malaysia where we stayed for 2 nights from 28Jun to 30Jun 2011 is set in lush greenery. It is a short taxi ride away from the town which is reminiscent of a 1960s Malaysian town. Its dining room has glass walls which give a panoramic view of the Lake Gardens. Looking out at breakfast time one can feel the serenity of the surroundings beckoning. It is also within walking distance to eating places and small restaurants where we could relish local fare in the evenings. The hotel is ideal for a relaxing holiday. I plan to stay there again when I next visit Taiping.

we had a wonderful experience during our holiday. Our stay comfortable with a neat and clean room. The pool here is very large and clean. I am very happy and my children happily swimming here. to warterpark only take 5 minutes of this apartment. we will come again to stay here the next holiday as a fair price. we'll also recommended to friends to stay here. we are very satisfied with the service from the reception staff.

Ken, the owner gave me a warm welcome. Throughout my stay he always was truly friendly and especially helpful with hints, what to see and do in Taiping. His property Sojourn was spotless clean and verily lovely, it has great charm and is lovely furbished. I stayed in a pod dorm bed for three nights and had a refreshing and comfortable sleep; unique to be provided with a personal mini fan in each pot. The bathrooms were of the best I came along during my travels. In addition I loved the rooftop balcony. Highly recommended! And Taiping itself, whilst often not mentioned in travel guides, is well worth a few nights stay: Ken will happily help you to make plans what to discover here.

Love the ambience. Felt like a walk to memory of kampung days. Nice surroundings and clean. Nice bed and we felt peace. Excellent place for family gathering and barbeque. Almost home and remind of olden days by looking at the terompahs.. Love the architecture. Should build more and provide better food and beverage standard. Food is good but there must be a room for improvement and upgrade to 4 star.

The hotel is near a lot of food stalls or restaurant, also good for a walk around the town. But the wifi was rather poor inside the room that I had to connect to it in the corridor. I would like to recommend you to try roasted chicken at Ayam Dindings below the hotel. Sangat sedap!

The apartment is good BUT the facility outside apartment is awful, nobody take care of swimming pool and the area around it, the area turn into a small jungle.. should pity the apartment owners where they could not promote properly because of this condition. Everything is fine and good for a budget hotel, provide a lift, very fast wifi and 15 minute walking to Taiping Railway Station. Many Malay and Chinese restaurant within walking distance.Get the Rapid bus 10A or 10B at the bus stop sign which is on schedule every 45 minutes to Taiping old bus station which is close to Taiping new bus station (near the market)as well to Kamunting bus station which is NOT near Kamunting Rail Station,make sure you take the right one since this bus 10A and 10B is operating in clockwise and counterclockwise route it is advised that you take a snap picture of the exact time schedule of the bus leaving the bus station to prevent prolong waiting time

Recommended to those who do not expect hotel level hospitality, just to sleep , good enough. If u expect a typical hotel-like services, sorry for U. place worn down. lift service not working. exterior horiffying. environment outside ; very dark at night, spoken to owner, nice chap, doing his best to run the place : advise him : to add more lightings outside, interior at the lobby to be substantially improved, more fragrance required, lift service requires urgent repairs.

Our first time staying here. Hotels in Taiping was fully booked and we managed this one. What a nice surprise ! Rooms are basic but most important - its clean !!!

The floor was dirty, The wall was so dirty with cope webs, Shower was bad, No shampoo, Full with ants, Chair broken with sharp nails, Bed mites and the balcony was so dirty.

Value for money and good location. Should post Crytal Creek resort as there is another J Homestay in Taiping.

Very good for family gathering, veriety of food and tourism places like bukit larut, Mah Jah shrimp nuddle kuala sepetang, doli special kuehtew, taiping lake,l and bukit merah recreational lake.
