"The best hotel in Teluk Intan so far. It is newly renovated hotel. Room size is good, comfortable bed, clean toilet. The only set back is that they do not have non-smoking rooms. The hotel is suitable for short stay and sightseeing in Teluk Intan. Breakfast was good enough."

"So happy to find this hotel, probably the best in Teluk Intan. Bed and pillows are super comfy, and I also like their big window. I had a fried rice take away from their restaurant, it was nicely packed with a fried egg, salad and deep fried chicken nuggets. Location wise it is slightly away from town centre, but its walking distance to McD, and I also recommend the udang galah outside the main road."

"We were welcome by the friendly staffs, from the security guard at the hotel entrance to the staffs from the reception counter. Upon checked in, we were given the sanitiser kits that included a hand sanitiser gel, alcohol wet wipe and a mask, it’s complimentary and the quality is good. The room is clean and comfortable, it’s been sanitised before we checked in. Proper fogging is done in this hotel. They served high quality coffee, coffee lover must try! The hotel location is so convenient. It took you 5-10 minutes drive to the food street/shop. You should try the Chee cheong fun, caramelised biscuit (香饼), especially the Yew Kee barbecued siew lap rice (耀记烧腊饭)at Ressy (丽士)kopitiam, it is slightly opposite the old Rex cinema, their barbecued sausage (siew cheong), roasted pork, roasted chicken and steamed village chicken are famous in Teluk Intan, guests from different states and overseas purposely come to buy/order for their Signature Barbecued Sausage (Siew Cheong). Teluk Intan is a food heaven., it is a nice place for food lover! If you plan to have a vacation at Teluk Intan, the “Yew Boutique Hotel” is highly recommended! When we checked out, we were given a fond farewell, we were greeted by the hotel owner/family by name and who valued for guest feedback, what an amazing personal experience it is! Thanks to the friendly hotel staffs who always taking good care of us, especially Shereen and Khairul. We will definitely come back again. Kudos to the team!"

More about Teluk Intan

Developed around the meander of the Perak River, Teluk Intan is a fairly large city within Malaysia’s state of Perak. The city is accessible only through bus service, although travelers are also welcome to hire a taxi from Kuala Lumpur. The Bus Station is located right in the city center, with several hotels clustered around the station.

One of the most famous landmarks of this city is of course the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan. It was built in the late 1880s by an architect who made sure to give the former water tank a leftward slant to match that of the original Leaning Tower of Pisa. The tower once served a specific purpose as a water storage system for the area, but has since become a popular landmark that is visited and photographed by pretty much every visitor to Teluk Intan.

The Perak River is a center of life for the residents of this city, and an important source of entertainment for visitors as well. The riverfront is a popular place for picnics or just taking walks along the river, and the Riverside Playground is a great destination especially for those traveling with children. The large playground is full of activities for fun and exercise, as well as being very photogenic for those so inclined.
