Best hotels & accommodations in Tianjin

The hotel is strategically located as it is walking distance to 3 main visiting sites in my plan. Firstly, the hotel is right next to the river where the TIanjin Eye is. We managed to capture many nice pictures of the beautiful Tianjin Eye. Then, with the assistance of the helpful and friendly hotel staff, we got the direction to the Ancient Cultural Street. We had a g...

This is my second time staying at the hotel and the moment I stepped foot into the lobby, the staffs were greeting me by my name and telling me it is great to see me again. After the long travelling hours, this gesture from the hotel staffs made me felt like I have reached home and not another hotel. They staffs constantly asked me how was my stay throughout the 3 day...

A great way to just relax. We had booked a superior room, but when we arrived, all rooms in this category were taken. So we go a free upgrade to a deluxe room. It was beautiful. A lot of thought had obviously gone into the decor, the bathroom was pure pleasure, state-of-the-art technology, extremely comfortable bed. The pool is great despite being in the basement, beca...

My trip to Tianjin was a surprise birthday present by my partner, and i was even more pleased by the choice of hotel. Our stay at the Shangri-la has been nothing less than outstanding. From the moment of us walking through the revolving main doors it felt like we were the centre of attention. We were ushered to the main desk and with someone immediately taking our lug...

I was not happy in my stay due to very poor staff , the staff is not trained to serve you as guest . The reception not aware of many hotel roles . When I arrived at 4 p.m. , the reception informed that I can't access the room till 6 p.m. , I have nothing to say except to accept . Then they chosen to me non-smoking room while I had requested through agoda smoking room ,...

Hyatt Regency Tianjin East is basically a fine hotel but its present location is rather remote, not convenient and away from most amenities. Its last location in the city centre was more ideal. Also the fitness club staff require hotel guests to use a swimming cap or purchase one at an inflated price at the fitness centre or they will not be allowed to use the swimming...

It's a long metro ride from the heart of Tianjin, but it's a very nice little hotel. They offer a nice breakfast off the main entrance for 29 RMB, when it's not included in your hotel room fee, which was my case. It's in one of the newer zones of Tianjin, but there is a lot of infrastructure that is right there and convenient. About a 25 minute walk to the nearest met...

The hotel is located in the same building as the metro subway entrance. Quite a few halal restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance (which is good for those muslim travelers) and near enough to various shopping districts in Tianjin by subway. The laundry room is well maintained and spacious enough for us to do laundry. The hotel building looks old but the room is c...

The hotel is close to the Beijing-Tianjin railway station and not too far from the Airport, so the taxi fares are not much. With the restaurant on ground floor, we can have our breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The food is tasty and not expensive. The staff booked the taxi to Airport for us in advance and the taxi driver charged us the metered fare. The hotel room is ...

I like this hotel and will stay here again. The location is excellent and the room is large - apartment-sized. The best part is that is has a heating and air con system that is fully controlled in the room. Most hotels cook you at night but not this place. It is the best I have found in all of China. The rooms are old and in need of upgrade. It is not the cleanes...

Our first experience stay at this hotel give us the first impression of excellent service by staff, beautiful hotel and good location (nearby Tianjin Railway Station) for those traveller who wish to experience going to Beijing by bullet train. Value for money for 5 star hotel. With free internet excess inside the room gave us more convenience to plan our trip. Our delu...

The only downside were the nails joining the carpet as I entered the tile area, this was the same last time here, they stick up and get your toes. Room big and beautiful. Had a lovely views of the lake, soft bed, did not much HB card for the feather pillows. Too soft. Big tv bath USB chargers all over. Pool nice breakfast the best I have had in any hotel although a bit...

Good stay. I was worried when I received two confirmation emails after only booking one room one time. I arrived and the hotel had no record of my booking. After talking with agoda customer service for a few minutes, then waiting on hold for what seemed like an eternity (was probably 5-10 minutes) the customer service rep told me it was all straightened out. Went b...

This is one of the best hotels I stayed in China. Very good value for the money I paid. Pleasing staff, excellent location, very neat and spacious rooms, Spa, clubs, with all these this hotel is very excellent and every time (once a month) I travel to Tianjin I stay only in this hotel.

I booked the executive room in advance, so I chose to check in at the club lounge as soon as I arrived at the hotel. However, only interns went to work that day and were told that they could not check in at the club lounge. As a result, I had to carry my luggage down to the lobby to check in, which caused some inconvenience to me. I hope the hotel can strengthen the s...

believe the picture you are seeing, hotel, 3 thumbs up, taking lots of picture with this complete hotel, nice hotel, nice room, but little bit too far from tianjin airport and culture street of tianjin, completely a new township which tianjin finance heart was. must try out this hotel for honeymoon.

Check in no problem. But when come to check out, the front desk ask us to pay for the room even though payment has been made by credit card through Agoda. Takes some time to cross check by calling here and there then only settle the problem. Besides that, it's a wonderful stay in this hotel!

I chose this hotel for its position close to railway station and as it was great price.I checked in at 2am due to a delayed flight, but no problems. Room was big and very well furnished. Unfortunately, apart from breakfast, I did not have chance to experience the rst of the facilities.

room are very clean and worth for its price . warmer works fine during winter . easy to reach a subway station ( about 100 m from hotel ) and very close to tianjin west railway station. whether reach by taxi ( about 6 min ) or subway.. ( about 3 min ), this hotel can be a transit hotel if we want to get a intercity train especial D and G train..

My wife thought the hotel was perfect. After ten hours on hard seats on a train, we were ready to sleep for the night. The room and bath were clean. My only complaint was the soft mattress. Staff tried to help. Speaking any Chinese helps, otherwise you're at the mercy of a phone translation app. Breakfast buffet was okay and not free. It's near several restaurants...

I have booked a room for NON-SMOKING area. Of course, the room I got was a room in the non-smoking area, BUT it was really bad that the room still got smoke for all 4 nights I have stayed!!! People in the area still smoked in that non-smoking area and the staff couldnot dealt it. Anyhow, the staff were really good althought they couldn't speak english.

The bed was like sleeping on a plank of wood, room dirty and smelly. Ask for a Taxi to take me out and reception called a relative to take me and tried to rip me off for twice as much as a licences taxi. That was reception !!! Avoid like the plague is my advise !

This hotel is perfectly located, walking distance to major attractions. I also got to buy my tickets for the Tianjin Eye Ferris Wheel from the lobby, which gave guests a slight discount. The hotel also offers softer beds compared to other hotels of similar prices. Rooms are clean and well-kept. Best value for your money.

While the constructino work on the street can be noisy and dusty, the location is actually quite convinient. Restautants, cinemas, shopping malls are just 10mins walk away. Also worth mentioning here is the service. Staff are nice and friendly. Let them know your needs and they are very helpful.

if you like to discover the living style of the local ppl, there is a local wet market just behind the street of the hotel. besides that, the hotel is very near to a "bu xing jie" and "yang hou jie" which the main street selling the local food and stuffs.

Check in no problem. But when come to check out, the front desk ask us to pay for the room even though payment has been made by credit card through Agoda. Takes some time to cross check by calling here and there then only settle the problem. Besides that, it's a wonderful stay in this hotel!

A very convenient location not too far from the train station, and even closer to the next metro station on the line to the airport. Plenty of food options nearby and we enjoyed the Tianjin Roast Duck restaurant. A great value stay before catching a morning flight.

First, location is great only 5min walk to Heping Rd Station, and even closer to Binjiang retail street. Can't be better I think. Hotel design is modern minimalist and feel new, compared to other local budget hotel chains. Lobby lounge is very nice and spacious with comfortable seats, lots of natural light, internet station, and even a coffee corner serving chinese her...

Jinjiang Inn located in Xianyang Road, which you could find bus stop infront hotel, restaurant at the hotel side and even local market nearby. The hotel staff is helpful, even most of the Tianjin people are modest and helpful. You could taste the different north style in Tianjin.

this hotel has great location near a bus station in the middle of everywhere in the city.the room and bathroom sizes are adequate. the hotel is quiet with both lan and wifi.the staff are cooperative and smiling with some english speaking.the only drawback was the television with plenty of chinese channels and nothing else.

My wife thought the hotel was perfect. After ten hours on hard seats on a train, we were ready to sleep for the night. The room and bath were clean. My only complaint was the soft mattress. The breakfast is supplied before 9AM, I think it's better to be extended to 10AM. The staff was polite and housekeeping team did great job. I booked a queen-bed room but they gave me twins, I was not comfortable about that decision and they said there was no suitable room for me.

Somerset Olympic Tower Tianjin is definitely a good hotel to stay, especially for the family. We love the heated swimming pool and use it almost everyday during the winter. The Gym is also well equipped. Breakfast is not bad, they have western, japanese as well as chinese selection. The unit that we stayed was just like an apartment, complete with everything the family...

nice hotel, would say about a 3 star level despite its rating. if you don't know any chinese might be difficult working with hotel staff. cannot walk from light rail station to hotel as there are too many large roads that block the way. need to take a taxi, only 9 yuan. had a pretty good chinese breakfast buffet. no other restaurants nearby. room large, clean an...

the hotel is one of the nices hotels in Tianjin its close to the metro station close to two big supermarkets the hotel are very clean and good equipped the staff are so friendly and helpful, even some of them are not talking English very well , but they do them best to fulfill your request the hotel are air-conditioned ,since when we stay there it was -13 degree...

after we took an hour to convince the front desk staff that we had made a booking with agoda and had paid in advance, our stay went without anymore dramas. the staff were very helpful, the rooms were huge and very clean. the western food was great but only a small selection. tianjin city to the west was only 15 minutes in a taxi. the duty manager was very helpful with ...

The location, only 5 km from Tianjin airport in a development zome, is ideal for anyone flying in/out of Tianjin. Add the reasonable rates, friendly counter staff, clean comfortable and modern rooms, with their sparkling bathrooms, and it seems a perfect choice for air arrivals or departures from Tianjin airport. Although the hotel is in a rather sparse development zon...

The personnel at the Tianjin Club were phenomenal. This was my first trip abroad in a while, and they made it seem one step closer to home. I would highly suggest the Westin Tianjin for anyone traveling in Tianjin. They had useful information and tips for the traveler and for business.

I stayed here for 6 nights. Initially housekeeping replenished 4 bottles of water (standard). However, I'm like part elephant. I go through the 4 bottles in about 3-4 hours. On my third day here, I noticed housekeeping put 6 bottles in my room instead of 4. And yes... I drank all 6. Not once did I request more water but housekeeping cared to notice my abnormal consumpt...

very cheap price on weekend with 5 stars servcie. very good location at no.3 avenue in teda area, windows of room face a golf green land, the view outside is very beasutiful, alothough in downtown of development zone, but there is no any noise over there at night, the furnitures are pretty new and the bed is so comfortable. free parking and internet service are availabl...

located within walking distance to Tianjin Municipal People's Government Offices and near shopping, night life, the Tianjin International Exhibition Centre (INTEX) and new Meijiang Convention Centre. just 15 minutes from the Tianjin railway station and its high-speed trains to Beijing.

Overall, it is great value for money, the location is excellent, just next to a shopping plaza with lots of restaurants and eateries. The studio room is well decorated and clean. The owner is friendly and helpful too. The MRT station is accessible from the plaza's basement. Shall stay here again if we pay TianJin a visit in the future.

My husband and I booked the Renaissance Tianjin Downtown Hotel for a one night stopover following a cruise. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel was very comfortable. We dined in the hotel for dinner and an early breakfast. Both were very enjoyable meals. We would not hesitate to stay there again should we return to Tianjin.

This hotel in downtown Tianjin is easy to find, it's gold. The rooms were clean and had all facilities needed. The room we booked did not look like the one we received but still had a nice view of downtown and there is also a clear enclosed viewing elevator where you can go to the top floor etc. There is also a heated swimming pool for winter.

I was quite disappointed in this hotel. The location is very poor, don't stay here unless you are on business in the immediate area. It's at least 1 hour by car outside of Tianjin. The staff are friendly and try to help as much as possible but the hotel itself is just outdated and tired. Breakfast was average, standard was quite low. The facilities were worse. The ba...

Nice river view, minutes from the subway, five star luxury hotel with a nice swimming pool and a gym that not too many people are using. Hotel is only a few years old, so everything still looks new. Staff was very helpful whenever we needed something. They would call a taxi for us wherever we wanted to go, and within minutes we were on our way to different places in to...

This is the best hotel I had encountered so far in my travels in China. In my group, there is a hotel owner from Indonesia and a hotel operator from Singapore, and they were all impressed. Traveler impressions of Tianjin
It certainly cannot beat nearby Beijing in terms of choices of food and historical sites and would be best visited as a day trip, max two days.
Tianjin is a very pleasant city. It doesn't have any one specific "amazing" feature or attraction, it's just an overall nice place with a few things to see and do that will keep you busy and provide a nice change of scenery - especially if you're coming from a "Tier 1" city like Beijing or Shanghai.
It is a city which is about 30-minutes high-speed train ride to Beijing. Quite well developed and a few places to visit if you have the time to spare before continuing to Beijing or before catching your flight out
History in every block around downtown area. Well kept, cleaner than Beijing. Streets well organized.
there is a tour bus station located at gu wen hua je 20rmb per person which will bring you around Tianjin time 9am to 7pm unlimted ride
Tianjin is like most major cities in China but like Beijing, suffers from heavy industrial pollution
There is actually nothing much in Tianjin. My business partners have a hard time recommending interesting place.
It is the third largest city in China. It has many international businesses and people. It is a lively city
The city is highly polluted(hazy throughout the day) with little/no cultural sights. Will not recommend visiting this city unless on business trip.
pretty polluted air all day long. Quiet city in the location of the hotel. SInce i did explore around i cannot tell much about Tianjin
Spent one night there just to watch a soccer match. Be careful with the taxi drivers. I was in a hurry to the stadium and the first cab I took really bent me over.
Nice city with skiing option at jixian international skiing centre. Tianjin Eye (ferry wheel) offers a good bird eye view of the whole city so worth a ride up there.
Good for couple days trip, go to ancient cultural street for shopping and try the street food, visit drum tower, Tianjin eye and Tianjin italian town.
A modern city which offer great entertainment and many shopping areas. Just a 30mins ride by bullet train from Beijing, no wonder a lot of Beijing people come here to dine and wine.
A very developed city. the place I went to was Tianjin Eco City for business. It is styled very much like Singapore.
Tianjin is a compact city and the places of attractions are easily reached. It is situated near to Beijing and travelers can use the high speed train to go to Beijing in approximately 1 hr.
Tianjin is a sea side city, near Beijing, and you will feel great if you go to the city Center. the surrounding area is only a factory area, and living.
Lots of old building with hundreds years history and some were musuem that u could dine in them. Good food
It is a nice city, big city but not as crowded as Beijing. It has a lof of amazing architecture, western and eastern.
not to miss TIANJIN's central pedestrian mall-BINJIANG DAO, , ancient ciltural street, NANSHI food street,HAIHE RIVER with beautiful bridges and statues/sculptures,FIVE Ave, Tianjin TV & Radio Tower,CHINA HOUSE
A city with few splendid attractions. Getting around in the city with cabs is a BIG challenge as drivers tend to pick customers and refuse to pick at meal hours.
Hiostory and culture. The different European settlements and their architecture. Italian, British, Spanish, Russian and all other buildings and structures on different European styles
The city is famous for delicious food. Nanshi food street and Goubuli are mostly for tourists but not popular among the local people.
Not much shopping. If you like buildings, you can go tianjin. You can take cab around tianjin. cheers.
Due to FX Tianjin Station Hotel's convenient location, we were able to walk (enjoy) to eating places, markets, various shops, street vendors, rail way station and bus stops.
Tianjin is a beautiful place. With the MRT is easy to travel within city. People are friendly. The famous gou buli bun must try, it taste good.
Tianjin is a modern city, roads are wide. Traffic not congested and good transportation. Easy to get around.
Nothing much, stay for 1 or 2 nights is enough. Former Puyi Residence (Jing Yuan): was OK if you are into history, be sure to watch the free video aired at the right section of the residence.
There is a lot of History in Tianjin. It is a quickly growing, flourishing city. It's not the greatest spot for site-seeing but there are some fantastic hidden gems for the adventurous soul to search-out.
First time visited Tianjin. Not much places to visit, we visited The Eye of Tianjin only and the shopping malls nearby our hotel.

More about Tianjin
The infrastructure of Tianjin is relatively new in relation to upgrades done prior to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. But the majority of the city’s attractions are historic. Sites worthy of a visit include the Ming-Dynasty Dabei Monastery, Drum Tower, and Tianjin’s record-setting TV Tower. Outstanding cuisine is a highlight of any visit to Tianjin, and several pedestrian market streets populate the city center, including one street that’s devoted entirely to local cuisine. Despite the fact that international tourists spend little time here, Tianjin has a thriving expatriate community and plenty to keep families busy. Wildlife centers, a seaside resort, and a theme park are just a few family-friendly treats to be had. The hotels around Tianjin are also good places to organize outings to the Great Wall – high on any tourist’s must-see list.
