Best hotels & accommodations in Tiberias

Since the hotel is rated 4 stars and the photos of the place looked fantastic, we were looking forward to our stay. However, when we arrived we were a little disappointed. The foyer and some restaurants looked newly renovated (as per the pictures,) but the room was outdated and not up to a 4 star hotel standard. The bathroom was particularly rudimentary, and some of...

it was my second time going to tiberias. the hotel is quite cheap although they don't serve breakfast. the facilities are ok. the location is excellent which is just besides the old city and beach. the kineret lake could also be seen from the room if you are lucky. i would recommend this hotel if you don't have a lot of money and don't care so much about the facilities...

This is a beautiful place with clean spacious rooms and great food. However, the price is a little too high. I don't know if I would come back to this place just because of the price they charge for the room and the buffets. Otherwise, I loved the atmosphere and to view to the Sea of Galilee.

Kinneret Village is well located if you have independent transport. Within easy reach of the bustling city of Tiberias, relaxing beaches of the Sea of Galilee and many places of historic and spiritual significance. Our hosts were kind, friendly and helpful; the cabin clean, comfortable and well appointed.

Although quite pricey for the quality, Leonardo Hotel Tiberias is quite ok. The rooms are already quite old, but comfortable. Washroom was mainly new. Lake view was nice. Air-conditioning was working (not self-evident in Tiberias). Hotel breakfast was good for Israel (in many Israeli hotels breakfast is poor in comparison with European or American breakfasts). The loca...

I stayed in the Prima Tiberias Hotel in Tiberias, Israel. The stay was perfect- the staff at the reception desk are highly professional and I even received a basket of fruit and cold water as a member of the Prima Club. The rooms were well maintained and clean. The breakfast provided diversity and was ample. The location was convenient to various places for entertainme...

Three of us stayed at Avigails outside of Tiberias for a wonderful two days. The rooms were in excellent conditions, the hosts are wonderful accommodating people. We especially enjoying being out on the deck in the evenings and morning and away from the hustle and bustle of Tiberias. Excellent family setting. We will return when in the Galilee area. Excellent reaso...

The biggest room of this little hotel might not be the cheapest option in town - but it's definitely worth the price! Beside the nice furniture & great extras, such as a whirlpool, the view over the terrace to the lake is magnificent. On top of that, the very helpful host provides you with a bottle of excellent wine :-)

excellent experience……like hotel……great view of galilee sea……I saw the sunrise……the shock view……room is clean ,tigy and nice, breakfast is also the best I have ever met In theworld……fantastic, the staff in front desk so nice……Hi, I am caocao……super suggest everybody tolive In here……but u need a car to getinto the hill

we,hong kong people, absolutely felt like home on the 1st day of arrival. the lady receptionist was very helpful in answering all our questions on transportation, eating-out and entertainment. free wi-fi available ! in our stay, we also met the manager and his father. they are jewish gentleman, very nice and warm. the manager taught us personally how to walk down to ti...

We thought we booked a budget hotel for an over night stay, and were happy and surprised to discover we were wrong when we 'be found the hotel beautifully renovated. We did not expect to get such a beautiful room modern decoration (wooden floor; comfy bads; stylish bath) and an ocean view. We didn't order breakfast so can't really advice about it Negative: It's ab...

Warning - do not stay at this hotel, it stinks like cigarette smoke and it is old and run down, the pictures of the rooms and the hotel are completely inaccurate!! It was the worst experience of our time in Israel to date, we got there and the pool was closed and wouldn't re-open until after our checkout at 11am the next day! Breakfast was a disaster, there was no stru...

We were looking for a cheap price to stay, but it still wasn't worth the money. Uncomfortable, not really clean, everything very used. On top we had no warm water and had totake cold showers. Placed far away from Tiberias Center, so don't go if you don't have a car.

Had a hotel in another city that was noisy, and it was a joy to have restful sleep. But events unfolded which we did not expect, as I had to be admitted to hospital via ambulance. Micky actually packed up our things arranged for our luggage to be sent to the hospital and was most gracious in helping us. When I return to Tiberias, there is only one place I would conside...

Pros: 1. good location in city center of Tiberias 2. clean and cozy room 3.good shower Cons: 1. the staff told me they only have one hair dryer for the hotel. When someone got it, you cant have that. RIDICULOUS!! 2. the bed is too soft and uncomfortable 3. the water boiler was dirty and you wont use it

The place is very nice with a beautiful view over the city and the lake of the Galilee. The house is very well equipped, clean and with plenty of space. The person in charge is very friendly and is always on hand for any needs. It was great to be there and I'll be back another time.

Traveler impressions of Tiberias
This is a great holiday destination, lots of beach activities and excellent restaurants. The area is surrounded by historic and religious sites that are only a short drive from the centre of town
sleepy little town mostly blue collar folks seems little has changed since the Roman empire neglected by the government and locals are inefficient great tourist opportunity that is missed and underdeveloped
It's a great place to visit, there are heaps of attractions, plenty to do!! The scenery is breath taking and the water is amazing!!
Peaceful and not flooded with religious tension. Another face of Israel. Transportaion from airport is not that direct to Tiberias.

More about Tiberias
Tiberias is one of Judaism’s Four Holy Cities, and as such, an abundance of Christian holy sites and the burial sites of Jewish sages can be found here. The Old City boasts a number of such sites, including a Jewish ritual bath and the St. Peter’s Church. Hamat Tiberias National Park celebrates the area’s 2,000-year old spa history and contains a museum that was originally part of a Turkish bath. The promenade, the city’s famous fish market, and several mosques are also popular sites that draw so many to this lively city.
With Tiberias being used to catering to the traveler, there is plenty of accommodation, from the shorefront to the main street. The Old City is packed with attractions and sites as well as nearby properties that make for the ideal stay. There are certainly several options along the beach and some further inland as well. Be sure to check out the interactive map of Tiberias for information on hotel locations, attractions, and must-see destinations.
