Traveler impressions of Wuxi

More about Wuxi

Wuxi is a famous cultural city and one of the fifteen economic cities of China, one of eight primitive cultural districts, and one of the country’s top ten tourist cities. With a history spanning more than 3,000 years and captivating natural beauty, Wuxi draws many travelers with its charming and tidy cityscape. Arrivals are facilitated by Sunan Shuofang International Airport.

History, nature, and culture go hand-in-hand in Wuxi to make for a beautiful destination. The wonders of the city are easily visible in the area of Taihu Lake. This famous scenic spot draws visitors with its panorama of natural beauty, tasty fish, and historical highlights. Turtle Head Islet serves as an excellent viewing point to take it all in, and dinner on the lake allows you to feast on more than the cuisine. Ruins of the Grand Canal and the lands considered the cradle of the Wuyue culture can be explored here. Li Garden and Plum Garden Scenic Area offer their own sense of beauty and leisure as well. For a more in-depth experience to the area’s history, one can’t go wrong with a trip to the renowned Three Kingdoms City – a CCTV Television Base used to film The Romance of the Three Kingdoms. And the Lingshan Grand Buddha, the tallest of its kind in the world, is a sight not to be missed in the Mt. Lingshan Buddhist Scenic Area.
