the hotel is in a good location on a main road handy to a lot of offices and not too far from the airport. the lobby has a beautiful well-stocked koi pond with a bridge crossing to the lifts area. breakfast was okay as was room service and the restaurant served some truly excellent chinese dishes. the room was clean with good furnishings and quality linens and the pillows could be chosen from a menu if you wish. i found the standard pillows quite acceptable.

We live in Zhanjiang and were excited when the hotel was finally finished. We watched it being built for 3 years, and we were not disappointed. It is crazy that a hotel this nice is in Zhanjiang. It is definitely worth the money. The staff was excellent, friendly, and helpful; the buffets were amazing; the pools and spas were relaxing; and the rooms were big, clean, and comfortable. We will stay here again for our next staycation.

The hostel is close to a tertiary institute and the neighborhood is safe with good lighting on streets. There are a variety of food stalls nearby operating till late at night at affordable prices, as well as convenience stores. The hostel is a bit inside the residential quarter but is easy to locate after passing by the secondary school and police station. The bus stop nearby (5 to 10 min walk) has got routes for long-distance coach terminals, airport, train station and major tourist attractions. The old town of Chikan district is within 30 min walking distance and old buildings and local food are found. Wifi is provided with good reception (hostel description has a mistake) and USB socket is provided at bedside. Rooms and common area (with tour books) are kept clean and tidy and the atmosphere is comfortable. The boss is talkative and helpful in telling you the local cultures. I also had good time with a helper from the nearby tertiary institute who guided me around the old town.
