Coralview Island "Resort" - yeah right! ”
We had a bure. It was quite small, the toilet did not flush, the fan could not be turned off, the bathroom floor was unclean and the shower just dribbled. Cold tap not turning. The food for what it cost was average to poor. On the night before we left there were about 10 people in the restaurant, we ordered and waited 1.5hrs to be served. I’ve never waited for a meal that long anywhere in the world....and then it was luke warm and I gave up on it. We went to “blue lagoon”. Bl is a small area of reef at one end of a beach. We spent maybe 45 mins Criss-crossing it a number of times while snorkelling before it got boring. Good fish numbers, nice coral but just way too small at about 1500sq m. But the “clam FARM” would be better right? At the bouy we saw 4 or 5 clams and in the wider area another 2. That’s no clam farm! Coral and fish life not as good here. This place is junk, but they are keen to extract every dollar they can from you and I came away feeling completely misled

Would only go back if everything else is booked out”
Bit out of the way, no beach directly accessible, be prepared to walk at least 20min to find a nice spot, Bures lacking basics (e.g. kettle, hot water in shower, comfortable pillows). The staff tried very hard to make the stay more enjoyable, which we really appreciated.

      Great Budget option ”
Stayed for two nights then extended for an extra night last minute. Was cheaper online than when I asked at reception. Staff really went above and beyond for you even knew us both by name. Morgan was the standout employee doing and running activities. Coral view is definitely an older resort and being a remote island has limited food selection. Would recommend bringing some snacks and sun cream.

Great resort, reasonable prices and easy access to local villages. Food was good quality and reasonably priced. This is the best place of this star rating that w3 stayed in while in Fiji for 14 nights. Will definitely return.

A good low cost option for Yasawas. ”
Overall Coralview is a good budget accommodation in the Yasawas, and there aren't many options in this range. The food was decent and reasonably prices, and there are a pretty good amount of activities. You can take the Seabus directly here which is a lot cheaper than the Flyer. There is some decent snorkeling in front of the property, and the giant clams are cool. I recommend it, we had a better time than at the other dodgy homestays we tried.

      Paradise”
We loved every minute at Coralview. The location is exceptionally beautiful. Amazing coral reef literally metres from the beach in front of the resort. The food is so delicious and fresh. But the thing that really blew us away was the staff. They were so welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I have never encountered service like that before. When we missed the boat to the island they got us a smaller boat and raced it to the big boat so we didn't miss a day on the island! I'm so grateful for all their efforts, including teaching my almost 70 year old mum to swim. I hope that one day I'm lucky enough to go home to this wonderful place.

      Horrible place”
When I first saw this place the impression was already bad. It does not look good. But ok, I should not let that spoil the fun. The next funny thing was when we wanted to have lunch. It quickly became clear that they do not have a number of ingredients, most importantly fish! No fish in the Yasawas! Hmm. We tried some meals (that were available), but in general all meals were simply bad, not tasty. Our room (bure) looked run down, like most accommodation in Fiji. My girlfriend found a big centipede in her sandal after leaving it on the floor for only an hour! The reef in front of the main building is interesting, there are some really huge giant clams out there. Internet did not work properly, they said they were having an issue with the provider, so they used WiFi sharing with their phone. Overall bad accommodation, bad food, and very far from Nadi. Avoid it!

Great staff but disappointing stay ”
Poor food management, most of menu was not available, had run out of lots of food (no steaks, no mussels, no lamb, no pork and had to ask for fish early to get it served for dinner), food took over 2 hours to serve food to us (we even ordered the food at lunch time for dinner and still got it late at 8:30pm). It would be recommended to have more of a set menu like other resorts particularly in low season when minimal people at resort. Staff were very friendly and into water activities, but did not have back up activities in the wet weather.

      Amazing experience ”
We stayed here for 8 nights as a couple and loved our experience. The staff there are some of the friendliest people we have come across during our 10 weeks of travel. There is a lovely family/community atmosphere. They take the time to remember your name and are very hospitable. We stayed in a Bure which was nice and private and which was serviced at least twice during our time there. We used the kayaks and snorkels around the water at Tavewa island and also did some snorkelling around Savuti beach where there is some amazing coral and fish, plus apparently a leopard shark called “Charlie” (friendly too they say)! You can walk there in low tide and it takes around 25 minutes from coralview resort. We also spent some time relaxing at coconut resort which is on the way to Savuti beach. The food at coralview was very good, compliments to the chef! Big portions and a lot of choice. We visited blue lagoon island and did some snorkelling there one day too. Plus fish feeding. It was very private on the island and the snorkelling was great. We paid for the Tavewa sea bus which is a lot cheaper than other sea buses and you can visit a lot of the other resorts near coralview. You can just book directly with coralview but I’m sure you can also do it online. Special thanks to Nina behind the bar/waitress and Charlie for being so lovely. We loved Charlie’s laugh. Such a great place and great value for money!

      Basic accommodation but fantastic staff”
My boyfriend and I shared a Garden Bure. They are right by the "oceanview" bures, and hard to tell a difference really - its not a place with giant windows, so we weren't hanging out in the bure - so the garden view was pretty much equivalent to the ocean view, with the exceptions of - lower price, - no hammock (but there are several on the property, so its not a big deal), and - a slightly further walk (literally just at the end of the row of the ocean view). Price: we got a great deal on Agoda, and I was very happy with it. Accommodations: very basic, we had a double bed and a bunk bed, with a small aisle in between. There is a wall separating the bathroom / shower (with hot water!), but it doesnt go all the way up to the ceiling, so it kind of echoes into the rest of the room - a bit weird for personal time, but no big deal. Bathroom had hot and cold water - but the water is a mix of salt and fresh (brackish water) so you cannot drink it, and you never feel quite as clean as you're used to, but you are on a remote island, so what more can you ask for. The staff makes it very clear that you shouldn't drink the water, and they have a water cooler / filtered water in the lodge so you can fill up water bottles to your heart's content (they give you 2 Fiji Water bottlers when you check in, so you dont even have to bring a water bottle if you don't want to). They didn't tell us why we can't drink the water in the bures (just said "DONT drink it") - at the beginning - and I have a LifeStraw, so at first was tempted to fill up with my LifeStraw, assuming the water was just potentially contaminated. I never did because we were always in the Lodge with access to chilled fresh water, but later found out it was salt water, so the LifeStraw wouldn't have helped at all. Cleanliness: We had some unfortunate luck with our toilet leaking, so our bathroom smelled gross - it was faint and at first we werent sure if that was just how these places were, or if something was wron

Coralview Island Resort was the best place I stayed while in Fiji. The staff were super helpful and the food was good! The location is the quintessential Fiji beach front resort. The facilities are basic and enough to get by, besides you rarely spend time in your room as the beaches and snorkel locations are some of the best in Fiji. This will be a place I stay again when I go back to Fiji.

Disappointed that what the website promised wasn't delivered by the resort. Water activities were great but no land based activities and no entertainment in the evenings. Resort looks like it could do with a lot of freshening and fixing up.

      Beautiful island with fabulous staff”
The lovely staff made this place for is. They were really helpful and fun, and everyone knew our names. We did a lot of the activities and we weren't tied to certain times either. If you wanted to do something at a random time, we would go. The food was great and there was no meal plan so we could eat what we wanted and pay as we went. I would say the beach next to the resort is not the best, but there's a lovely beach further down the island and if you like snorkelling, there is a beautiful reef right outside the resort with giant clams, which other resorts take their guests to. The bures could do with some TLC, they are a bit dated and tired. You can't beat this place for the price, we have great memories and it was lovely not to be treated as a nameless guest as often happens in larger resorts.

An affordable and fantastic resort!! God value for money”
I would recomend this to anyone that is going north of the yasawas! It is a relaxing, near all the activeties (like snorkling, cavetrip and a nice hike)! The prices there are also good for the budjet and you get a lot for your money. Many of the resorts near by you'll have to pay $99 for food per person each night addition to accomendation. In coral view you pay per meal (and a lot cheaper!!!!) good food and very friendly staff. In addition the cavetrip is very nice through the resort, because they arrive first in the caves. Theres no reason not to go here. Beautifull corals in the marin resort right next to the resort with giant clams. And they arrange snorkling trips to blue lagoon and other nice snorklings spots. The dorm var very nice as well (as the picture shows). I had a great time, and hope to get back one day :)

Horrible stay! Fiji standard unseen! ”
That this place was once highly rated is a big mystery to us! Dirty, empty, staff who lost their smile long ago, food not good. Soulless place, taken over by foreigners, no Fiji smiles and hospitality at all! Stay away , cause the Yasawa Islands have so much better stays!! We left after two nights instead of 4 booked. Love Fiji Yasawa Islands ( visited 7 different resorts) , but Coral View was by far , the Worst Stay ever!!

Good place to end your journey in fiji. Good value. No meal program so you can choose to spend a lot or not. Missing a nice beach (you have to do a 15min walk to arrive to a nice one on the other side of the island and there is a lot of rubbish alongside the walking track... Shame.) The Staff was very friendly and helpful. You will find the cheapest way to get back to Nandi with the Seabus. Great opportunity to do snorkeling but bring your own gear as all the gear from the resort is broken or in bad shape/state.

We had a great stay at Coralview resort. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and got to know us during our trip. Lots of fun activities are offered every day. Our dorm room was spacious and very clean. Air conditioning and fans were included. The food at Coralview was exceptional and great value for money. Most of the main courses are between $20 - $30 FJD and you won't be hungry afterwards. Breakfast was delicious with freshly baked breads and treats every day. Definitely the best food we had on our trip. Finally just to mention that the resort offers their own boat from Nadi up to Coralview for a very very competitive price. Overall a great stay on a beautiful island!
